A cornice with nautical theme was the choice for this children’s bedroom. The picture window was divided into three sections that led to the use of three shades that looked and functioned perfectly with the overall design. Room darkening was not necessary; therefore, the fabric of the shade was a perfect choice and worked perfect with our theme. The cornice was carefully designed to create balance, three dimensional effects, movement, and a senesce of whimsy. Brite primary colors was the choice for the cotton fabrics selected. The cornice was the focal point and the most interesting piece in the room.

We created a custom straight cornice board for our client in Severna Park, MD. This cornice is covered in a neutral fabric with contrast cording, which helps to unify the space with the adjacent panels.

Custom window treatment installation fabricated for Collins DuPont Design Group in collaboration with Heather Hill. This tailored treatment features a fully custom cornice with a bold, graphic overlay detail that was meticulously hand-cut and applied to achieve the layered, dimensional effect. Stationary drapery panels in a textured fabric frame the window, adding softness and balance to the architectural top treatment. Gantt's Decorating I used a dark crown molding and small dark molding at the bottom of the cornice to tie the window in with the dark wood furnishings in the room. The cornices were designed to echo the effect in the head board.
