After removing the existing walls, we rearranged their spaces to give them an office at the front of the house, a large living room, and a large dining room that connects seamlessly with the kitchen. We also wanted to center the foyer in the home and allow more light to travel through the first floor, so we replaced their existing doors with beautiful custom sliding doors to the back yard and a gorgeous walnut door with side lights to greet guests at the front of their home. Living Room Our clients wanted a living room that could accommodate an inviting sectional, a baby grand piano, and plenty of space for family game nights. So, we transformed what had been a small office and sitting room into a large open living room with custom wood columns. We wanted to avoid making the home feel too vast and monumental, so we designed custom beams and columns to define spaces and to make the house feel like a home. Aesthetically we wanted their home to be soft and inviting, so we utilized a neutral color palette with occasional accents of muted blues and greens. Dining Room Our clients were also looking for a large dining room that was open to the rest of the home and perfect for big family gatherings. So, we removed what had been a small family room and eat-in dining area to create a spacious dining room with a fireplace and bar. We added custom cabinetry to the bar area with open shelving for displaying and designed a custom surround for their fireplace that ties in with the wood work we designed for their living room. We brought in the tones and materiality from the kitchen to unite the spaces and added a mixed metal light fixture to bring the space together Kitchen We wanted the kitchen to be a real show stopper and carry through the calm muted tones we were utilizing throughout their home. We reoriented the kitchen to allow for a big beautiful custom island and to give us the opportunity for a focal wall with cooktop and range hood. Their custom island was perfectly complimented with a dramatic quartz counter top and oversized pendants making it the real center of their home. Since they enter the kitchen first when coming from their detached garage, we included a small mud-room area right by the back door to catch everyone’s coats and shoes as they come in. We also created a new walk-in pantry with plenty of open storage and a fun chalkboard door for writing notes, recipes, and grocery lists. Office We transformed the original dining room into a handsome office at the front of the house. We designed custom walnut built-ins to house all of their books, and added glass french doors to give them a bit of privacy without making the space too closed off. For Victoria's first international project, she went all out with this client's favorite jewel tones, lush materials, and statement light fixtures. The wall between the kitchen and dining/living room was removed to create an American-inspired “open concept”, the trim was painted black to add contrast to the previously all-white walls, and the wood floors were re-stained to tone down the yellowed oak. Throughout the home, bold colors took center stage with a deep turquoise office/guest quarters and rich sapphire with silver enchant the master bedroom for a luxurious look. In the kitchen, the client had the great idea of adding a bench at the end of the new waterfall countertop, which led to the creation of a mini Parisian-inspired bistro vignette. In the main living space of the home, the only must-have was two custom velvet fuchsia sofas in the living room, so from fun prints in turquoises and purples were mixed for a rich, layered atmosphere. Amazingly, almost everything was sourced from the U.S. and shipped over to Paris. The back kitchen/butler pantry area was designed to help keep the main kitchen clean and organized. Bulk cooking will take place in the back kitchen area, which has a full suite of appliances. The pantry is accessible yet hidden from the main kitchen via a passage door concealed within the main kitchen. The downstairs bar area has a sink, dishwasher, beverage fridge and drawer microwave. Designed for easy functionality, it offers ample counter space for small appliances like a juicer, blender, or tea kettle, allowing for refreshment after using the adjacent home gym. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"Goran and his team at Leight Westchester are highly reliable, trustworthy and just fantastic! This bathroom remodel features a sophisticated blend of modern design and timeless craftsmanship. The custom walk-in glass shower is wrapped in Deep Forest Green tile, paired with warm gold hardware and integrated lighting to create a rich, spa-inspired atmosphere. A freestanding soaking tub adds a striking focal point, complemented by warm wood cabinetry, marble countertops, and premium fixtures throughout. Natural light from the large window enhances the depth of the Deep Forest Green tile, highlighting the clean lines and detailed workmanship.

Clients existing dining room table and chairs were kept in the space. The chairs were repurposed with a heavy-duty, teal, chenille fabric and the two extra dining room chairs were placed in opposite corners for additional seating at our clients reoccurring dinner parties. The wood buffet was set with a mirrored beverage tray, wine accessories and a beautiful mosaic, gold vase. One dining room wall was accented with a light teal paint (Sherwin Williams 6750 "Waterfall") and dressed with a deep teal, silk drapery. This Orland Park, IL client wanted a fresh, light look, with a bit of drama. Kemper “Echo” cabinetry was chosen, in a warm Sandstone finish. Depth and richness was added with Brown Sugar glaze, which draws attention to this richly detailed door style. The drama comes in with the color palette: the pairing of the lighter cabinetry and flooring with darker tones. Tan Brown granite gives us a deep brown, as well as the use of dark bronze metals. A tall traditional crown molding adds interest at the top, and Chandler handles and knobs add the perfect touch. Visual interest is added with the wrap-around peninsula. This creates a lovely shape for the countertop, as well as generous seating for 5 adults and awesome storage. A small display area next to the refrigerator draws the eye, with wine storage and fun open cubbies. This area was also castled, for a more open feeling. The use of dark metal in the hardware, lighting, and stools is the perfect finishing touch for this timeless and cohesive transformation.

Reimagining an Urban Classic Perched high above San Francisco’s Cow Hollow neighborhood, this meticulously reimagined residence represents a thoughtful transformation of a classic urban home into a contemporary, light-filled sanctuary. The project involved a comprehensive renovation paired with both vertical and horizontal expansion, dramatically increasing the home’s footprint while enhancing its relationship to sweeping views of the Bay, the Palace of Fine Arts, and the surrounding hillside neighborhoods. The design strategy focused on opening the home to light, air, and vistas—elements often constrained in the dense urban fabric of San Francisco. By extending the structure upward and outward, the architects created a dynamic four-level residence that unfolds gradually, culminating in expansive living spaces and rooftop terraces oriented toward panoramic city and water views. Architecture that Frames the View At the heart of the design is a careful orchestration of sightlines and natural light. Large black-framed windows punctuate the façade and interior spaces, deliberately positioned to capture iconic San Francisco vistas while flooding the home with daylight.
