This couple wanted a completely custom kitchen using Wood-Mode and Brookhaven Cabinetry, along with the expertise of a professional kitchen designer, for their new home. In collaboration with Veranda Designer Homes out of Southlake, TX, we created this lovely and fresh kitchen that fulfilled the needs and desires of the homeowners.

Our clients came to us wanting to maximize the space they had. They were not planning on moving anytime soon, as they loved their neighborhood. They wanted to renovate the front of their house, which included the front atrium, living room, kitchen, and powder bath. They hated their kitchen because it was completely closed off, had low ceilings, was dark and outdated, not to mention the floors were different in each of these rooms! The pantry was in the breakfast area and the kitchen table became a junk catcher, being the first thing you see when coming in from the garage/laundry room. In their living room, they wanted the spaces on either side of the fireplace to be symmetrical, whether that be bookshelves, a wet bar or closed off. Both parents are working professionals with no time and/or desire to design, create and figure this out on their own. They needed help figuring out how to reconfigure their current space in order to maximize what they already had, as they could not see an obvious solution. They could not envision how it would look so the fact that our designers were able to show them their new kitchen in 3D was pertinent. We removed the pass-through windows that surrounded the atrium and front dining room, as well as the entire kitchen wall, completely opening up those two rooms. We removed a hall that used to lead between the kitchen and the living room since it was a complete waste of space! The ceilings were raised to 10’ in the kitchen and we were able to leave the skylight, letting in that natural light they wanted. We were able to give them a much larger pantry with tons of shelving and increase the size of their laundry room by utilizing the space of their old breakfast nook. We relocated the door to the garage into their new elongated laundry room, built a wet bar across from their new larger pantry (with a pocket door) and the flow and functionality of these new spaces is just perfect! All new Waypoint cabinets were installed one two main kitchen surrounding walls painted Linen. Calacatta Bianco Polished Porcelain Tile 4x12 was used for the backsplash. A large eat-at island was installed, painted Stone, where the family can now gather for homework, meals, and mingling. The soft champagne bronze hardware and accent lighting really give this white and gray kitchen a soft classic look. In the living room, we removed the built-in bookshelves to the left of the fireplace and closed off the wet-bar on the other side, giving them more space in their master suite. White Oak wood flooring, stained Putney, was installed throughout the entire new space, giving it the continuity they were looking for. In the guest bathroom, Carrara white herringbone marble mosaic 12x12 tile was used on the shower floor and niche, while basic marble Bianco polished 12x24 porcelain tile was used on the walls. Luxart polished chrome traditional hardware gives this timeless bathroom the perfect shine. Our clients are so happy with the new functionality and look of their space. It has definitely changed their lives in a way they could have never imagined!

Eichler in Marinwood - At the larger scale of the property existed a desire to soften and deepen the engagement between the house and the street frontage. As such, the landscaping palette consists of textures chosen for subtlety and granularity. Spaces are layered by way of planting, diaphanous fencing and lighting. The interior engages the front of the house by the insertion of a floor to ceiling glazing at the dining room. Jog-in path from street to house maintains a sense of privacy and sequential unveiling of interior/private spaces. Inspiration for a cottage living room remodel in Austin

Renovisions received a request from these homeowners to remodel their existing master bath with the design goal: a spa-like environment featuring a large curb-less shower with multiple showerheads and a linear drain. Accessibility features include a hand-held showerhead mounted on a sliding bar with separate volume controls, a large bench seat in Blue Pearl granite and a decorative safety bar in a chrome finish. Multiple showerheads accommodated our clients ranging heights and requests for options including a more rigorous spray of water to a soft flow from a ceiling mounted rain showerhead. The various sprays provide a full luxury shower experience. The curb-less Schluter shower system incorporates a fully waterproof and vapor tight environment to ensure a beautiful, durable and functional tiled shower. In this particular shower, Renovisions furnished and installed an elegant low-profile linear floor drain with a sloped floor design to enable the use of the attractive large-format (17” x 17”) Carrera-look porcelain tiles. Coordinating Carrera-look porcelain tiles with a band of color and shower cubby in Blue Pearl granite tie in with the color of the tile seat and ledge. A custom frameless glass shower enclosure with sleek glass door handles showcases the beautiful tile design. Replacing the existing Corian acrylic countertops and integrated sinks with granite countertops in Blue Pearl and rectangular under mount porcelain sinks created a gorgeous, striking contrast to the white vanity cabinetry. The widespread faucets featuring crystal handles in a chrome finish, sconce lighting with crystal embellishments and crystal knobs were perfect choices to enhance the elegant look for the desired space. After a busy day at work, our clients come home and enjoy a renewed, more open sanctuary/spa-like master bath and relax in style.

An original turn-of-the-century Craftsman home had lost it original charm in the kitchen and bathroom, both renovated in the 1980s. The clients desired to restore the original look, while still giving the spaces an updated feel. After years of enjoying their backyard, the clients of this property enlisted our firm to improve the original landscape we had completed over ten years ago. Our goal was to update the patio and further develop their backyard by creating a garden with a variety of color and texture. Over time the existing patio had settled, plantings grew, and an existing Oak thrived. During the initial home and landscape construction our clients were particularly concerned about the health of the mature Oak located just off the home. Special care was given when the patio was first built. Precautions were again taken in working around the Oak as the existing patio was removed and replaced. Surrounding trees and shrubs had grown and enclosed the backyard limiting access. This required almost all work and transport of material to be done by hand. The old concrete paver patio was replaced with bluestone. Existing mortared limestone around the edges of the patio levels were cleaned and tuck-pointed. A new stoop was constructed with mortared limestone risers and bluestone treads. A built-in grill and fireplace further updated the backyard space. The fireplace was designed to follow the organic curve of the patio. Mortared limestone and bluestone material were repeated on all elements, tying them together. Along with the updated patio, many additions were made in transforming the modest backyard into a lush garden. Masses of annuals, ornamental grasses, and perennials along with mixed shrubs created sweeps of color and texture in front of a new arborvitae hedge and other existing trees and shrubs. After careful planning and execution the completed landscape gave our clients the updated landscape they desired. The completion of the project was a rewarding and fulfilling experience as we transformed a good past project into a fantastic new project.

1960s multicolored two-story mixed siding flat roof photo in Denver

This 5,200-square foot modern farmhouse is located on Manhattan Beach’s Fourth Street, which leads directly to the ocean. A raw stone facade and custom-built Dutch front-door greets guests, and customized millwork can be found throughout the home. The exposed beams, wooden furnishings, rustic-chic lighting, and soothing palette are inspired by Scandinavian farmhouses and breezy coastal living. The home’s understated elegance privileges comfort and vertical space. To this end, the 5-bed, 7-bath (counting halves) home has a 4-stop elevator and a basement theater with tiered seating and 13-foot ceilings. A third story porch is separated from the upstairs living area by a glass wall that disappears as desired, and its stone fireplace ensures that this panoramic ocean view can be enjoyed year-round. This house is full of gorgeous materials, including a kitchen backsplash of Calacatta marble, mined from the Apuan mountains of Italy, and countertops of polished porcelain. The curved antique French limestone fireplace in the living room is a true statement piece, and the basement includes a temperature-controlled glass room-within-a-room for an aesthetic but functional take on wine storage. The takeaway? Efficiency and beauty are two sides of the same coin.

We are excited to share our latest project a Modern Farmhouse. Our client loves East Coast style this was fun to create with the best bones we had to just select phenomenal materials to make this space look fantastic! Center stage is this great window with a view of a backyard oasis. The cabinetry is special and unique with doors that you can’t find everywhere. Take a close look at the details!! We blocked out the corner of the kitchen where the subzero refrigerator freezer is located to create a space for the pullout pantries that are located on each side of the ref/freezer. It is a design element but I prefer to cover the dishwasher to have an uninterrupted are that makes the sink a focal point. This kitchen sink is a native trails concrete farm sink which pairs perfectly with the caesarstone rugged concrete countertop. Custom made hood with charred wood that is the perfect accent to a subway tile that has rustic elements. In the center is a 36" wolf range, off to the left finishing out this kitchen is a steam unit.
