Renovisions received a request from these homeowners to remodel their existing master bath with the design goal: a spa-like environment featuring a large curb-less shower with multiple showerheads and a linear drain. Accessibility features include a hand-held showerhead mounted on a sliding bar with separate volume controls, a large bench seat in Blue Pearl granite and a decorative safety bar in a chrome finish. Multiple showerheads accommodated our clients ranging heights and requests for options including a more rigorous spray of water to a soft flow from a ceiling mounted rain showerhead. The various sprays provide a full luxury shower experience. The curb-less Schluter shower system incorporates a fully waterproof and vapor tight environment to ensure a beautiful, durable and functional tiled shower. In this particular shower, Renovisions furnished and installed an elegant low-profile linear floor drain with a sloped floor design to enable the use of the attractive large-format (17” x 17”) Carrera-look porcelain tiles. Coordinating Carrera-look porcelain tiles with a band of color and shower cubby in Blue Pearl granite tie in with the color of the tile seat and ledge. A custom frameless glass shower enclosure with sleek glass door handles showcases the beautiful tile design. Replacing the existing Corian acrylic countertops and integrated sinks with granite countertops in Blue Pearl and rectangular under mount porcelain sinks created a gorgeous, striking contrast to the white vanity cabinetry. The widespread faucets featuring crystal handles in a chrome finish, sconce lighting with crystal embellishments and crystal knobs were perfect choices to enhance the elegant look for the desired space. After a busy day at work, our clients come home and enjoy a renewed, more open sanctuary/spa-like master bath and relax in style.

The kitchen—the heart of this home—carries through the solid Fir beams and cultured stack stone to create unity with the living area. Shelving on each side of the large range provides accessible and partially hidden storage for ease of reach to the culinary enthusiast. The homeowners desired a space where they could entertain, and this large and open area enables friends and family to gather and enjoy the space. The kitchen features a quartz countertop lit from below with a custom LED lighting panel that shines through the larger, transparent pieces of crystal. For this particular project, our client's personal desire was for bold, contemporary colours and finishes. As we worked together and provided detail, it became evident that they were very much wanting fine detail, high-quality fixtures and fittings. When it came to the finishes for the kitchen, we specified a highly durable Traceless Laminate in a black finish, which is boldly set off by a stippled laminate in a bright tangerine colour. The bold tangerine colour laminate was complimented with paint back high gloss glass in the same colour to the back of the breakfast bar, splashback and first level of the tiered overhead cupboards. The kitchen cupboards and drawers have been fitted with all the best soft touch runners and hinges, functional drawer inserts for cutlery and utensils, large bin drawers, as well as integrated dishwasher and fridges. We're pleased to say that all the challenges in this space were resolved well beyond the client's expectations. This project also won Interior Design of the Year 2020 at the HIA Awards!

This particular dwelling was reimagined through a masculine modern-contemporary lens, blending industrial edge with refined natural warmth. After years of enjoying their backyard, the clients of this property enlisted our firm to improve the original landscape we had completed over ten years ago. Our goal was to update the patio and further develop their backyard by creating a garden with a variety of color and texture. Over time the existing patio had settled, plantings grew, and an existing Oak thrived. During the initial home and landscape construction our clients were particularly concerned about the health of the mature Oak located just off the home. Special care was given when the patio was first built. Precautions were again taken in working around the Oak as the existing patio was removed and replaced. Surrounding trees and shrubs had grown and enclosed the backyard limiting access. This required almost all work and transport of material to be done by hand. The old concrete paver patio was replaced with bluestone. Existing mortared limestone around the edges of the patio levels were cleaned and tuck-pointed. A new stoop was constructed with mortared limestone risers and bluestone treads. A built-in grill and fireplace further updated the backyard space. The fireplace was designed to follow the organic curve of the patio. Mortared limestone and bluestone material were repeated on all elements, tying them together. Along with the updated patio, many additions were made in transforming the modest backyard into a lush garden. Masses of annuals, ornamental grasses, and perennials along with mixed shrubs created sweeps of color and texture in front of a new arborvitae hedge and other existing trees and shrubs. After careful planning and execution the completed landscape gave our clients the updated landscape they desired. The completion of the project was a rewarding and fulfilling experience as we transformed a good past project into a fantastic new project.

Our client's goal for this project was a more functional kitchen for cooking with the family as well as an open space for entertaining friends and family. They further had a very specific vision for an old world feel while trying to be budget and environmentally conscious. Upper cabinets with glass fronts add visual interest, provide useful storage and create the perception of a higher ceiling. We crafted the arched stonework around the cook-top that created a focal point and disguises the built in vent hood. The finishing on the cabinets was customized to match the antique furniture the client had. Looking across the kitchen, the dated fireplace needed an update to match an Old World feel. We accomplished this by installing stonework similar to that around the cook-top area. We also added crown molding in the living room to flow with the kitchen, all while remaining budget conscious. This was also a very environmentally conscious project superbly fitting the client's request and matching our company’s values: • 75% of the cabinets are original or resized from original cabinets. • The center island remained and had cabinets refinished and a new countertop installed. • All lighting including task lights, under cabinet lights and recessed lights are LED. • All Energy Star appliances. • Brick and stonework around cook-top is from salvaged brick and stone. • Cedar beam above the arch is salvaged from a past project and stained to fit the kitchen’s decor. • Existing wood floors were refinished and hand scraped to give a more Old World look. With this project we were particularly pleased to work within the constraints of budget, environmentally conscious requirements, and building a beautiful Old Word kitchen that perfectly match our client's desires.

At Knockout Renovation we take pride in fulfilling our clients desires. In this particular project our client owned a two bedroom apartment and later purchased the neighboring studio. The intent was to combine the studio and create an open space kitchen/ dining room. The kitchen was enlarged, the dining room now overlooks the city, and they have a guest powder room. Additional upgrades were made to this space like custom built-in seating with storage and light plank wood floors. This is now a dream luxury apartment with a beautiful view, imagine the nightly dinner views!
