No detail of this mountain home’s powder room was overlooked. Calling to mind the Old World, a custom taupe limestone sink is set against a backdrop of grey tongue and groove wainscot topped with ivory plaster. The traditional wall-mount faucet in oil rubbed bronze is by Rohl. The quatrefoil design of the custom towel bar adds interest and offers a spot to hang hand towels. Peppering the space with contrast are iron wall sconces, mirror and chandelier. Reflected in the mirror is a window painted Sherwin Williams Black Fox. A woven shade hangs in the window providing privacy and texture.

This bathroom was completely remodeled with an all white colour scheme complete with a mixture of various marble types. Marble includes a pattern of carra marble, venato marble and callacatta marble. We sourced a home depot white freestanding vanity cabinet and placed a custom made carrara marble counter on top of it with undermount oval sinks. As a rental unit, this apartment came with peachy yellow walls and tan carpeting. We started this project with a fresh coat of paint throughout, giving the space a more modern color palette. Next up was to define the different spaces (dining, living, and work areas) within a large open floorplan. We achieved this through the use of rugs and strategic furniture placements to keep the different spaces open but separate.

Most of the time when we think of wine cellars, the predictable option is to make it appear that you have entered a space in Europe or Napa. But this project takes on a completely different story.
