Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom.
The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space.
In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space.

Custom painted MDF shaker style cabinets brighten up this fairly small kitchen space. lots of storage space, LeMan II corner organizer, LED light valance for extra countertop illumination and counter height seating for two.

A serene spa like bathroom, introducing warmed toned ceramic tile in the shower and floor. The rug patterned tile floor is framed with a stainless metal inlay giving it an extra pop. The pitched ceiling is fully tiled.

After careful assessment of how the family utilizes this space, we added dimension and space by making a new, larger center island with soft-close drawers, spice racks and extra storage. The island was painted to match the off-white subway tile pattern of the backsplash and to compliment the warm colors of the updated cabinetry. The exotic Copenhagen granite is the shining star of this stunning updated kitchen.

A partial renovation of the bathroom brought tremendous results. We pulled the vanity out in the bath and replaced it with one of our signature custom space saving vanities with recessed toilet paper holder and storage cabinet over the toilet. We also added a Robern medicine cabinet with much more storage, much needed electrical outlets, and enclosed the tub / shower in glass.
Design Tip: By leaving the existing stone tiles and fixtures in place, we were able to conserve budget and apply it to the high-end finishes in the amazing open kitchen and living room transformation.
