Design ideas for a traditional vegetable garden landscape in New York.

Client had a few items from a family business that she wanted to display but didn't want in her living spaces. We opted to make the laundry room her tribute space. The wood crates were repurposed for laundry soap storage, her stock certificates were framed and hung on one wall, and the family name letters from the outside of the building were hung on another wall. There are two cloth hampers with two compartments each on either side of the room for whites, darks, gentle care, and towels/linens. Spare grocery bags are stored on the wall, a small trash can for dryer lint hangs from a hook, and cloth bags for washing bras and delicates are stored in a shoe hanger next to the dryer. We added to her storage by hanging wire shelves underneath the wire shelf and small items are stored there for easy access -- dryer sheets, dusting cloths, essential oils for wool dryer balls, stain remover, dog medicines and towels.

A good solution to a deep pantry closet is to make a space in the shelf to access canned goods and such on the sides.

This beautiful kitchen was dated and falling apart. We came up with a new design by removing a closet and adding length to the kitchen area. The customer had a green pie plate for the color of the cabinets (you can see it on the butcher block butlers area) that we matched perfectly. We did a custom Double Easy Access Corner Pantry Lazy Susan. We also incorporated an easy lift mixer stand in the butlers area. Other features are a roll out garbage/ recycling area, pullout upper spice rack, farm house cast sink, appliance garage with power, and rollouts in most to the lower cabinets and pantry.

Corners in the kitchen prove to be a storage challenge. This easy reach wall cabinet is ideal for viewing and accessing plates and glasses.

Home design - traditional porcelain tile and gray floor home design idea in Austin with shaker cabinets and medium tone wood cabinets

This little laundry room uses hidden tricks to modernize and maximize limited space. The main wall features bumped out upper cabinets above the washing machine for increased storage and easy access. Next to the cabinets are open shelves that allow space for the air vent on the back wall. This fan was faux painted to match the cabinets - blending in so well you wouldn’t even know it’s there!
Between the cabinetry and blue fantasy marble countertop sits a luxuriously tiled backsplash. This beautiful backsplash hides the door to necessary valves, its outline barely visible while allowing easy access.
Making the room brighter are light, textured walls, under cabinet, and updated lighting. Though you can’t see it in the photos, one more trick was used: the door was changed to smaller french doors, so when open, they are not in the middle of the room. Door backs are covered in the same wallpaper as the rest of the room - making the doors look like part of the room, and increasing available space.

What makes a bathroom accessible depends on the needs of the person using it, which is why we offer many custom options. In this case, a difficult to enter drop-in tub and a tiny separate shower stall were replaced with a walk-in shower complete with multiple grab bars, shower seat, and an adjustable hand shower. For every challenge, we found an elegant solution, like placing the shower controls within easy reach of the seat. Along with modern updates to the rest of the bathroom, we created an inviting space that's easy and enjoyable for everyone.

This spacious kitchen in Westchester County is flooded with light from huge windows on 3 sides of the kitchen plus two skylights in the vaulted ceiling. The dated kitchen was gutted and reconfigured to accommodate this large kitchen with crisp white cabinets and walls. Ship lap paneling on both walls and ceiling lends a casual-modern charm while stainless steel toe kicks, walnut accents and Pietra Cardosa limestone bring both cool and warm tones to this clean aesthetic. Kitchen design and custom cabinetry, built ins, walnut countertops and paneling by Studio Dearborn. Architect Frank Marsella. Interior design finishes by Tami Wassong Interior Design. Pietra cardosa limestone countertops and backsplash by Marble America. Appliances by Subzero; range hood insert by Best. Cabinetry color: Benjamin Moore Super White. Hardware by Top Knobs. How cool is this? We designed a pull-out tower, in three sections, beside "her" sink, to give the homeowner handy access for her make-up and hair care routine. We even installed the mirror exactly for her height! The sides of the pull-out were done in metal, to maximize the interior width of the shelves, and we even customized it so that the widest items she wanted to store in here would fit on these shelves!
