2024 interior design trends are moving beyond the classic white and gray toward warmer tones that create an ambience of comfort and connection with nature. This year, the spotlight has been on warm tones paired with green accents that are both inviting and rejuvenating. This Stoneunlimited Kitchen and Bath client's home serves as a beautiful example getting back to warmer neutral tones of incorporates deep chocolate tones, warm browns and taupe to create a harmonious feeling as you walk through each space. Creamy gray painted walls are the perfect backdrop for the bolder design elements found in the exposed beams, backsplash, two tone cabinetry and accent walls. This home remodel has been inspired by nature. The dynamic sage green paint on the wall of the dedicated beverage station and in the living room bring life to each space. Our client has tastefully placed accent foliage and other decor throughout the home that has brought the outdoors into each room. Textures in the backsplash, natural wood grains in the cabinetry and exposed beams create a forest feel which is both inviting and peaceful. Stoneunlimited Kitchen and Bath Remodeling had the opportunity to help this customer achieve their dream of a fully remodeled main floor which included: kitchen, guest bathroom, dining room, kitchenette, pantry, living room and office. Extensive carpentry work was performed in what used to be a dinning and sitting room on the main level. A large wall was removed, and a new wall was created with a door entry and a recessed beverage station was installed with two tone upper and lower cabinets that house a small fridge. The upper cabinets with lighting were installed inside the glass upper cabinetry to add layered lighting to the space. Three wood beams were installed in the ceiling and a new kitchenette/pantry area was created behind the newly constructed wall. The kitchenette/pantry area includes a tall storage area as well as upper and lower cabinetry with a sink and small fridge. The kitchenette pantry is a perfect place to house countertop mixers, crock pots, air fryers or other small appliances that are accessible for immediate use. The main kitchen tops remain free of small appliance clutter and the countertops become an expansive workspace. The existing kitchen had a peninsula that made the area feel confined, prior to the kitchen remodel portion of the project. The peninsula was removed, and the fridge was relocated to the opposite wall, across the room to create a more open feel. Although a working island was installed, the flow through the kitchen feels more open and fluid than it did previously. The work island houses the microwave as well as additional storage. Spice and utensil pull outs to the left and right side of the range keep prepping utensils and seasonings conveniently tucked away. Other projects that were completed included in the home included new cabinetry and floating shelves that were installed in the living area. The two-tone aesthetic of the cabinetry is consistent with the other areas of the home and merge beautifully with the natural stacked stone feature in the fireplace wall. Darker lower cabinets anchor the room while lighter warmer upper tones provide a lighter feel without overpowering the space. The guest bathroom off of the living area was also remodeled. Taupe tones were introduced with the natural warm tones of newly installed cabinetry and countertops to maximize the storage space. 6 1/2 x 40" nut brown plank tile was installed and can be seen throughout the expanse of the first floor, giving the appearance of wood but are porcelain which are highly durable and easy to maintain. The homeowner also opted to have their main stairwell redone which included removing existing carpet, installation of stair treads and hardwood for the steps and landing area which included sanding and staining. Overall, the interior remodel of the main floor of this client's home was extensive and the impact of the changes that were made are incredible! The choices that were made with our client make this remodel not only specialized and customized to their everyday needs but a beautiful representation of how a dream home remodel can be achieved and accomplished. This home remodel checks all the boxes for what's in trend in 2024. With expansive views, as well as the nature surrounding the site, the house was designed essentially as a barn structure consisting of an umbrella-like roof, three continuous transparent walls made of glass and screens, a large wraparound deck and large central fireplace. These elements provide a variety of living situations: indoors and outdoors; covered and uncovered; screened and open.

This project consisted of a re-design for an unkempt and poorly-functioning entry garden of a home in Belmont. The primary programmatic elements we incorporated into the new design were an enlarged and better defined parking area, a useable lawn space, a heightened sense of arrival for the main entrance and a seamless circulatory progression from the rear garden to the entry and front lawn. By the end, Just Grillin completed the cabana (which was left unfinished by another contractor), created a stone accent wall along the backdoor wall and added a stone wrap to the cabana columns. The kitchen features encapsulated polymer cabinets which are outdoor rated and extremely durable in the harsh Florida elements. The legs of the bar-height island tabletop are also made in this material. The client choose an Alfresco 42" AXLE grill and U-line 24" Outdoor Fridge. Hidden in one of the cabinets is a drawer that fits a Yeti cooler. The stone backsplash seen along the kitchen was completed by Just Grillin. The cabana seen in pictures was left unfinished by another contractor the client hired. The client then contacted us about finishing it and the result is what you see pictured. The client also had a lot of leftover stone from other projects and asked if we could create something with it. Just Grillin was able to create a stone accent wall along the backdoor of the house to add some flair to a covered lounging area. Just Grillin also wrapped the bottom half of the cabana columns with the same stone completing a consistent and stylish look throughout the back patio area.

Who said Transitional can be boring? The Black Diamond Staging was a fun project where classic and contemporary were mixed-in creating a Transitional clean look. The color scheme throughout was very neutral allowing lines of the furniture to take center stage. A transitional look also consists of various textural elements, in this case the materials that were used the most to create that texture was wood, fabrics and rattan. The use of accessories was very limited as there was already artful details through the mix furnishings and fabrics.

This master bath remodel consisted of combining materials that would work with the existing floor tile that was to be saved. Contrasting elements from the darker tile accent border, to the wenge vanity cabinets, and to the mixed-metal fixture schemed proved to be a functional and compact retreat for the homeowners. Awarded by the Classical institute of art and architecture , the linnean house has a restrained and simple elevation of doors and windows. Nestled in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Washington, D.C., the Linnean House is classical in both plan and elevation throughout its award-winning house plans. The main mass, comprising of the most formal and public spaces, is a spatial triptych along a symmetrical main axis. Inside the luxury home, the limestone façade, simple but well-proportioned with classical elements, extends itself into both the entry portico and main foyer with consistent proportions and materiality. This introduction allows the flanking living and dining rooms to be perceived as separate pavilions, each equipped with eight equal-proportioned French doors symmetrical of the main axis. Beyond the classical spaces are two wings which lead to the master suite and a kitchen/family space, respectively. Both of which are situated to queue from the French door axis, a focal feature in the repeatedly published home design. At the entry foyer, the stark stone luxury architecture is warmed by two symmetrical wood armoire-like freestanding sculptural objects, a persistent theme throughout the luxury house. In the kitchen, for instance, stand four similar wood armoire objects at opposite corners that act as columns and help give this space a sense of boundary and enclosure. The master bath vanity, in similar fashion, is introduced as a central free-standing form anchoring itself as a notable presence in the space. Lastly, the wine room is designed as a series of free-standing heavy wood cavity walls spanned only by a hint of glass.

Designed and built by Terramor Homes in Raleigh, NC. In continuing the retreat feel, the goal in the master bath was to achieve a spa like feel. Inspired to incorporate the spa together with the tone of the rest of the home, the main focal element was a gorgeous free standing oval tub centered in the room under the vault of the ceiling and an 8 foot tall and 5 foot wide casement window that overlooks the river and greenway area behind the home. Directly across, the 6 foot by 6 foot full glass and glass tile was located- sharing the view out of the large windows. Flanking the tub are the adult height cabinets with large square legs and a shelf underneath, similar to the spa look that is expected. A full height cabinet pantry was added to encourage storage or rolled towels, bathing accessories and additional storage as well. The entire room was finished with a chocolate brown, 18” x 12” tile, laid in a brick pattern and continued up the walls for the consistent and clean look. Centered in the vault, a large, linen drum pendant with chrome trim drops- bringing elegance to the space. Small shelves were built at the bottom of each side of the vaulted ceiling to house the LED lighting that shines up the vaults of the ceiling, again replicating natural day light at any time of day. Modern art in public spaces Meet the Globe – an art object from glass commissioned from us by Marion SPA Hotel 4* located in the resort area of Bukovel in the Carpathians. A two-meter glass globe, which has already become a showpiece of the hotel, embellishes the terrace, inviting every guest to sink in the beauty. After all, we tend to appreciate art more when it transcends the brick boundaries of art-galleries and becomes a part of the landscape. The concept behind this art object is to reflect the cosmopolitan appeal of the hotel and to celebrate mountain-lovers from every corner of the globe who have come to enjoy the atmosphere of hospitality that Marion is renowned for. The construction of the globe designed in a joint effort of +object team and the chief architect of the hotel consists of 34 glass elements attached to a metal framework. The mirror surface of the sphere with the engraved map of the world reflects the clear skies and the surrounding beauty of the mountains. All this shiny elegance makes for a perfect picture, which is why hardly anyone leaves Marion without a selfie with the Globe.

This Spring Valley yard was an incredibly complicated build. With over 5 stories of elevation change in the yard from the front to the back of the property, creating a sense of consistency and integration was a challenge. The expansive yard demanded a lot of thought be put into the cohesive design elements to make one's area flow with ease from one place to the next. Thoughtful positioning of windows is paramount to a good design. Whether it is capturing the view, extending the space, bringing in morning sun or more consist northern light with the goal/task in mind we carefully consider location of each and every window we place in our drawings. In this particular case, through a large pivot door and windows, we are bringing the south-east light and manicured front garden view into this double-height foyer. By doing so we are bringing light not only to the lower foyer area but also into the upper hall area in need of natural light. Each element we introduce into our designs is multi-tasking and contributing in many ways.

The room really lights up with the new look. DalTile makes a big statement with 12x24 tiles throughout the bathroom with their Fabrique tile. The color Noir Linen was used on the floor of the shower and the main space, while Blanc Linen was used to surround the shower walls. Glazzio tile was used at the accent in this shower with their Aquatica Series in Grey Scale. You'll also notice a creative Schluter linear drain along the wet side of the shower. Other projects in this room consisted of the built-in linen shelves as well as the homeowners use for the former shower area with a vintage dresser. All these elements came together nicely with the vanity, trim, and toilet that were already there.

Mediterranean gardens inspire this landscape design consisting of a series of outdoor "rooms" complementing the house. Play lawn, dining terrance, and pool area are linked by the garden's central path, which terminates at the pool's impressive vista of surrounding ranch land. The gardens provide floral displays throughout the year, contrasting the drifts of agave plants. A quiet birdbath, wall fountains, and negative-edged pool contribute to water's central and unifying role in the garden, and all elements are composed to gently guide one's gaze to the surrounding rolling hills, large oak trees, and endless sky. This Edina, MN project started when the client’s contacted me about their desire to create a family friendly entertaining space as well as a great place to entertain friends. The site amenities that were incorporated into the landscape design-build include a swimming pool, hot tub, outdoor dining space with grill/kitchen/bar combo, a mortared stone wood burning fireplace, and a pool house. The house was built in 2015 and the rear yard was left essentially as a clean slate. Existing construction consisted of a covered screen porch with screens opening out to another covered space. Both were built with the floor constructed of composite decking (low lying deck, one step off to grade). The deck also wrapped over to doorways out of the kitchenette & dining room. This open amount of deck space allowed us to reconsider the furnishings for dining and how we could incorporate the bar and outdoor kitchen. We incorporated a self-contained spa within the deck to keep it closer to the house for winter use. It is surrounded by a raised masonry seating wall for “hiding” the spa and comfort for access. The deck was dis-assembled as needed to accommodate the masonry for the spa surround, bar, outdoor kitchen & re-built for a finished look as it attached back to the masonry. The layout of the 20’x48’ swimming pool was determined in order to accommodate the custom pool house & rear/side yard setbacks. The client wanted to create ample space for chaise loungers & umbrellas as well as a nice seating space for the custom wood burning fireplace. Raised masonry walls are used to define these areas and give a sense of space. The pool house is constructed in line with the swimming pool on the deep/far end. The swimming pool was installed with a concrete subdeck to allow for a custom stone coping on the pool edge. The patio material and coping are made out of 24”x36” Ardeo Limestone. 12”x24” Ardeo Limestone is used as veneer for the masonry items. The fireplace is a main focal point, so we decided to use a different veneer than the other masonry areas so it could stand out a bit more. The clients have been enjoying all of the new additions to their dreamy coastal backyard. All of the elements flow together nicely and entertaining family and friends couldn’t be easier in this beautifully remodeled space.

For this bedroom remodel, we matched the bedroom’s interior doors to the kitchen cabinets to keep a consistent color palette across the house. We also used minimalist design elements and dark hardwood floors for the bedrooms like we did on the rest of the house’s interior.
