Inspiration for a mid-sized timeless light wood floor wine cellar remodel in Philadelphia

This project consisted of a re-design for an unkempt and poorly-functioning entry garden of a home in Belmont. The primary programmatic elements we incorporated into the new design were an enlarged and better defined parking area, a useable lawn space, a heightened sense of arrival for the main entrance and a seamless circulatory progression from the rear garden to the entry and front lawn. Just Grillin was originally contracted to design and install an outdoor kitchen and bar-height island tabletop. By the end, Just Grillin completed the cabana (which was left unfinished by another contractor), created a stone accent wall along the backdoor wall and added a stone wrap to the cabana columns. The kitchen features encapsulated polymer cabinets which are outdoor rated and extremely durable in the harsh Florida elements. The legs of the bar-height island tabletop are also made in this material. The client choose an Alfresco 42" AXLE grill and U-line 24" Outdoor Fridge. Hidden in one of the cabinets is a drawer that fits a Yeti cooler. The stone backsplash seen along the kitchen was completed by Just Grillin. The cabana seen in pictures was left unfinished by another contractor the client hired. The client then contacted us about finishing it and the result is what you see pictured. The client also had a lot of leftover stone from other projects and asked if we could create something with it. Just Grillin was able to create a stone accent wall along the backdoor of the house to add some flair to a covered lounging area. Just Grillin also wrapped the bottom half of the cabana columns with the same stone completing a consistent and stylish look throughout the back patio area.

This home, set at the end of a long, private driveway, is far more than meets the eye. Built in three sections and connected by two breezeways, the home’s setting takes full advantage of the clean ocean air. Set back from the water on an open plot, its lush lawn is bordered by fieldstone walls that lead to an ocean cove. The hideaway calms the mind and spirit, not only by its privacy from the noise of daily life, but through well-chosen elements, clean lines, and a bright, cheerful feel throughout. The interior is show-stopping, covered almost entirely in clear, vertical-grain fir—most of which was source from the same place. From the flooring to the walls, columns, staircases and ceiling beams, this special, tight-grain wood brightens every room in the home. At just over 3,000 feet of living area, storage and smart use of space was a huge consideration in the creation of this home. For example, the mudroom and living room were both built with expansive window seating with storage beneath. Built-in drawers and cabinets can also be found throughout, yet never interfere with the distinctly uncluttered feel of the rooms. The homeowners wanted the home to fit in as naturally as possible with the Cape Cod landscape, and also desired a feeling of virtual seamlessness between the indoors and out, resulting in an abundance of windows and doors throughout. This home has high performance windows, which are rated to withstand hurricane-force winds and impact rated against wind-borne debris. The 24-foot skylight, which was installed by crane, consists of six independently mechanized shades operating in unison. The open kitchen blends in with the home’s great room, and includes a Sub Zero refrigerator and a Wolf stove. Eco-friendly features in the home include low-flow faucets, dual-flush toilets in the bathrooms, and an energy recovery ventilation system, which conditions and improves indoor air quality. Other natural materials incorporated for the home included a variety of stone, including bluestone and boulders. Hand-made ceramic tiles were used for the bathroom showers, and the kitchen counters are covered in granite – eye-catching and long-lasting.

They wanted to understand the product’s environmental impact and it’s effect on indoor air quality and human health. This custom decorative concrete has a sleek, modern finish that enhances the contemporary architecture of the home. The surface is lightly textured with a subtle, consistent color tone, adding depth without overpowering the overall design. Modern Warm Bathroom Remodel | Boulder, Colorado This Boulder bathroom remodel blends modern design with warm, natural elements to create a cohesive, spa-like environment across both the primary and guest bathrooms. Designed in collaboration with Boulder Design Group and built by Veron Builders, the project focuses on clean lines, layered textures, and thoughtful material selection. The primary bathroom features a custom wood vanity, vertical tile detailing, floating shelving, and warm brass fixtures that bring depth and warmth to a clean, modern layout. A frameless glass shower enhances the open, airy feel of the space. The guest bathroom carries a complementary design language, maintaining visual continuity while offering its own refined details and layout. Together, both spaces balance function and elevated design through consistent materials and intentional contrast. This comprehensive backyard remodel showcases a transformation into a luxurious, modern outdoor retreat. The centerpiece of the project is the replastered pool and spa, now revitalized with a fresh, smooth finish that enhances both aesthetic appeal and durability. Surrounding the water features, new pour-in-place concrete coping has been installed, offering clean lines and a cohesive look that elevates the overall design. The outdoor kitchen has been fully remodeled, featuring a striking granite countertop that blends seamlessly with white smooth stucco finishes for a crisp, contemporary appearance. This space is now perfectly suited for both casual grilling and upscale entertaining. Adjacent to the pool, custom pour-in-place concrete steps and a bench-integrated firepit create a functional yet elegant gathering space. Both the bench and the firepit are finished with matching white smooth stucco, ensuring consistency in design. The firepit is uniquely integrated with a cascading waterfall, combining elemental contrast and soothing ambiance. Flagstone flooring and steps have been upgraded to premium upscale tile, offering improved durability, ease of maintenance, and a modernized aesthetic that complements the new finishes throughout the space. Overall, this backyard remodel harmoniously blends contemporary design with functional luxury, creating an inviting outdoor environment for relaxation, entertainment, and enjoyment.

-Configured the Kitchen to address the Dining area and adjacent Office area. Eliminated the “compartments” that separated the Kitchen into choppy areas. -Created an aesthetic that was in keeping with the bones of the home, and compatible with the existing Early American / primitive pine furnishings. -Redesigned the layout into an L-configuration, allowing a large central archway (matching the existing adjacent opening) to the Study. The Kitchen is opened into the Dining area. -Finishes / fixtures consist of elements such as “honeycomb” backsplash tile and an elegant iron pendant fixture.

Design & Build a spacious addition, while matching existing elements of the property. Create exterior entertainment area consisting of flagstone patio with freestanding stone fireplace, large pond and landscaping and hardscaping.

Bringing the same elements from the kitchen and living room into this bathroom/laundry combination unifies this home by giving it a consistent theme.
Inspiration for a transitional kids' ceramic tile and gray floor bathroom remodel in Other with flat-panel cabinets, white cabinets, an undermount sink, solid surface countertops and gray countertops

The backbone of the entire design is the multilevel paver system — installed using Belgard pavers, the professional-grade hardscape brand trusted by premium landscape contractors across North America for their durability, freeze-thaw resistance, and the quality of their surface and color consistency. Belgard pavers were selected for this project because this backyard needed to perform at the highest level — aesthetically and structurally — through Utah's demanding seasonal range. The multilevel layout creates distinct zones at different grades: an upper entertaining level, a main patio zone, and the sunken spa level below. Each level transitions to the next through precisely constructed steps and retaining wall elements, all in the same Belgard material palette, creating visual continuity across the full space. As a CMHA-certified contractor in pavers, Chopper Landscaping's paver installation standards go beyond surface appearance. Base preparation, drainage engineering, edge restraint specification, and compaction standards ensure that the Belgard paver system performs for decades — not just looks good on installation day.

With a big family and a love for cooking and entertaining, the homeowners wanted a space that felt like their own private restaurant—stylish yet welcoming, with rich wood tones, striking contrast, and plenty of character. The end result? A beautifully curated kitchen that seamlessly blends form and function based on the clients’ vision. Additionally, we installed LVT flooring, which combines the beauty of wood grain with the practicality of easy maintenance for our clients. Every detail, from the thoughtfully placed pendant lighting to the functional layout of the cabinetry, enhances the kitchen’s usability and charm.

VILLA THEA is divine place for a luxury life on Zakynthos Island. Designed by architect Lucy Lago. The philosophy of the project is to find a balance between the architectural design and the environment. The villa has flowing natural forms, subtle curves in every line. Despite the construction of the building, the villa seems to float on the expanse of the mountain hill of the Keri region. The smoothness of the forms can be traced throughout the project, from the functional solution on the plan and ending with the terraces and the pool around the villa. This project has style and identity. The villa will be an expensive piece of jewelry placed in the vastness of nature. The architectural uniqueness and originality will make villa Thea special in the architectural portfolio of the whole world. Combining futurism with naturism is a step into the future. The use of modern technologies, ecological construction methods put the villa one step higher, and its significance is greater. It is possible to create the motives of nature and in the same time to touch the space theme on the Earth. Villa consists by open living, dining and kitchen area, 8 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, gym, cellar, storage, big swimming pool, garden and parking areas. The interior of the villa is one piece with the entire architectural project designed by Lucy Lago. Organic shapes and curved, flowing lines are part of the space. For the interior, selected white, light shades, glass and reflective surfaces. All attention is directed to the panoramic sea view from the window. Beauty in every single detail, special attention to natural and artificial light. Green plants are the accents of the interior and remind us that we are on the wonderful island of Zakynthos.

You’ll also notice that the fireplace in the living room matches the kitchen. Our team removed the dated façade and created an updated look with the same tile and wood elements from the kitchen, providing consistency to tie the spaces together. Final photos by www.impressia.net
