With a modest patio between the home and the pool, the homeowners longed for better entertaining spaces and more connection between their interior, exterior, pool, and second floor. Copper Sky Design + Remodel began this renovation with the removal of a weathered pergola and creating a large opening from their living room to the patio for new sleek accordion steel doors that seamlessly merge the indoor and outdoor spaces. To further elevate the outdoor space, the adjacent patio was covered, and retractable screens and vinyl panels were installed. These features provide flexibility to enjoy the outdoors without the inconvenience of summertime insects, pollen, and unpredictable weather. The ceiling of the newly covered porch was custom designed to discreetly house the electrical components for the motorized screens, maintaining a clean and uncluttered appearance. A spiral staircase was introduced, leading to a second-story deck that spans the width of the home. This addition provides easy access to the outdoors directly from the bedrooms, offering a serene spot for enjoying the stunning views of the backyard. The deck features cable railing, which preserves the unobstructed view, and is adorned with elegant copper post caps. For added privacy, louvered wooden screens were installed at one end of the deck. Given the homeowners' joy for entertaining, this design included the installation of outdoor speakers and color-changing LED lights on the porch ceiling and upper deck railings. This client said they had no idea what furniture to buy or where to place it and said they had trouble deciding on paint colors and what to paint what color. We helped them buy a sofa from Kravet, an oversized chair from Pottery Barn that my upholsterer slipcovered in a turquoise Kravet fabric, and had my upholsterer make them a matching oversized ottoman both to use as a table when required to in this small space that is also egress to the outside patio, and to enable them to be able to lie down and relax comfortably in their beautiful cozy sunroom. We painted the entire room a soft green - both cabinets and walls- echoing both the outside patio area and the large painting over the oversized chair. This both brought the outside in, and create a unified atmosphere that enlarged their space. We also painted and furnished their family room with an identical Kravet sofa upholstered in a turquoise fabric, a swivel chair from Pottery barn that we also slipcovered in a beige Kravet fabric so all the furniture pieces can be used interchangeably in both rooms should the client get tired of the way the furniture is placed at the moment. We also made another storage ottoman to be used as a table, needed storage and a place to rest their feet. Additionally we made 8 pillows in various turquoise and green animal prints as well as matching solid colors to again unify the rooms that are open to one another via a large arched opening

The vanity countertops are MSI Q Smoked Pearl. The bathroom includes Italgraniti Lux Calacatta Mont Blanc field tiles, Islandstone Waveline Breeze Matte glass accent tiles and Islandstone Sliced Pebble Grey shower floor and under tub accent tiles. “The client was a joy to work with, full of energy and excitement for this project. He was looking for a spa-like feel in his Primary Bathroom. He had definitive ideas about what he did not want which helped steer me in the right direction,” said Angie. “We expanded the shower, added a freestanding tub in lieu of the existing garden tub, and brightened up the bath with white cabinetry, a light vanity top and a frameless, custom shower door. Removing the large tub deck and surround enabled the space to feel open and grand as well.” “The bathroom project exceeded all my expectations. We took this high-rise condo to new heights with a significant renovation. All three bathrooms, the kitchen and living area were reimagined to provide updates and special features, worthy of its location in the Mayfair building at Turtle Creek. Bathrooms boasting marble, custom vanities, and specialty plumbing ensure luxury experiences.
