When it was time to update their small and poorly functional master bath, these homeowners approached Renovisions for help. The small 5’x8’ size constraints was a challenge but ‘Team Renovisions’ was up for the task and came up with a beautiful creative use of space which incorporates a spacious walk-in shower, a curved furniture-styled vanity with porcelain lavatory top, a sleek and energy efficient luxury performance toilet, with faucet and shower fixtures in chrome finish. Safety is a must for our projects and this decorative grab bar that matches the towel holder accessories is evidence of that as it provides both functional and aesthetic attributes. 18”x18” porcelain tiles in a brown marble pattern was a great choice as these over-sized tiles increased the feeling of the room while the rich cherry finish of the vanity complimented the brown veining of the tile nicely. This newly remodeled master bath is clearly an example of making the most out of a small space. Beauty, functionality and style – it has it all!

To honor their roots, this eclectic 2018 new build capitalizes on the couples’ personalities in many ways. With an affinity for geodes and rock formations, as well as keeping glass and organic elements in mind, inspiration is evident in every room. The couple’s Colorado background encouraged we incorporate refined western nods throughout the residence, while sophisticated features of transitional and traditional designs. Each room was designed with consideration of the clients’ love of color except the master bedroom and bath suite, which was done in soothing neutrals.

Located on farmland in McLean, Virginia, the American Farmhouse balances the expected comforts of a new home with the bucolic beauty of an old farmhouse. The final site plan still has evidence showing parallel courses of the barn’s destiny. The house mass is broken and lowered so that the home can remain secondary to the monolithic barn structure. Earthy and elemental materials are selected for the home that reference the barn without directly mimicking it. Wooden members found inside the barn and from other barns bridge ceilings and are used in floors along with rustic slate adding to a sense of simplicity to the farmhouse design. The age and patina of the barn is reflected in the house’s textural use of board and batten and field stone layered similar to stone foundations. The original development plan was to demolish the existing barn and construct three suburban homes. Part of an endangered breed, as one of the few remaining barns in the area, it was originally viewed as a challenge in a luxury home construction with several difficulties posed to the impending project: it would be expensive to renovate, vulnerable to demolition, and threatened by urban sprawl. However, instead of trying to alter or destroy the barn, the structure was fully embraced into the traditional architecture project as a centerpiece and was used as the inspiration for the home. The new house was sited parallel to the barn so that views to the barn gable were accessible.

Kitchen - eclectic kitchen idea in Cincinnati

This is an example of a traditional landscaping in Charlotte.

The farmhouse presence is evident in this remodeled kitchen. With a navy pop coloring the island to keep it fresh and a dreamy farmhouse sink to top it of.

Here is a far shot of the beam screens and context photo for them. The various levels are more evident as you walk through the garden and pan through these garden photos. One difficult spot was keeping the back hot tub walls from getting too tall but being able to form a vault for the hot tub beneath the deck. I was excited about my design for the floating steps up from the hot tub, to serve as lounge bench seating with the back of the BBQ plinth acting as privacy as well as the back of the bench and steps. The planters add green and another seating perch and deal with the grading levels I mentioned in other photos.

The transparency of the house is evident from views such as this, as the Sitting Room off the courtyard looks through the Living Room of the main house to the south lawn beyond.

Entering in through the living room, the Mohrman's creative nature is immediately evident. A neutral grey sectional acts as a springboard for the bright patterns of Chelsea's handmade pillows and lampshades. "We enjoy easy decorating with budget friendly items or fun DIYs", explains Chelsea, whom offers instruction on many of her crafting projects on her blog, Farm Fresh Therapy. The couple search antique malls and flea markets for the majority of their decor, often times adapting them to a new purpose. The illuminated "M" for example, was an internet find. In this beautifully exuberant Plano home, shades of tiffany blue and persimmon orange unite to create this colorful & inviting modern kitchen.
