We refinished the floors to be darker throughout the home. Using open shelving, we kept the kitchen open and free from excessive amounts of upper cabinets. Bringing the backsplash all the way up to the ceiling brings verticality to the ordinary 8' high ceilings.

In this "old world" traditional home, the client wanted modern elements and conveniences in the appliances and fixtures. Her love for stained wood with character led us to a knotty alder wood with a rich glaze. The combination of stainless steel and rustic wood was exactly what she was looking for.
The coffered ceiling was designed to hide a single steel beam and stack vent in the ceiling. These items could not be moved without excessive expense. We designed an coffered ceiling to add symmetry and purpose to the decorative cover of functional beam. The custom designed hood disguises a stack vent.

We began this project with the idea of making a friendly entryway and social area under the Mulberry tree which provides much needed shade in this hot, mountainous area. The 'red fescue' meadow grass has a cooling effect and the agaves reduce the need for excess water and maintenance.
The backyard has a covered dining area with a corner lounge and fireplace. The large barbecue offers a cantilevered counter for entertaining. The waterfall into the pool is surrounded with bamboo and plantings that emulate the hillside beyond the property. The permeable paving and mix of Vitex and Olive trees provide shade for smaller seating areas to enjoy the variety of succulents throughout the garden

The striped bedroom wallcovering frames the upholstered bed and artwork, giving texture to the sleeping area without adding visual excess.

This lovely home in upper Capilano area had recently become covered in mildew, a very common problem in North Vancouver. To correct for this, we pressure washed with a bleach solution to kill any algae spores. Next, an oil based primer was applied to seal in any remaining stains caused by the excessive mildew and algae. Dulux Diamond Exterior Semi Gloss in White was then applied to all trim to protect the wood and provide additional protection.

To solve this Irving homeowner's drainage issues, Archadeck removed the gravel and flagstone and first installed a gravity French system consisting of 6-inch PVC pipes and ten catch basins. This portion of the project extended out 200-feet. We also installed nine downspout connectors to the six-inch PVC pipes. This system allows gravity to divert the excess water from the area.

The Aurora can be labeled as a greenhouse shed combo. It includes four large aluminum windows with tempered glass for safety. On top of that, it features 509 cubic feet of storage space for gardening tools and equipment or plants. With the many windows, light is aplenty. However, there is even the option to add solar shades so you can control the amount of sunlight coming in. In addition, you can add a power ventilation fan to remove excess heat and bring in cool air inside. If you looking to grow plants and vegetables all year around and store stuff, the Aurora greenhouse shed combo is just what you're looking for. It's a customer favorite.

Color, structure and movement create a fluid, rhythmic garden. A keyhole driveway is anchored by a majestic Japanese maple and seasonal under plantings. The curved retaining wall is highlighted by masses of purple tulips that complement the allee of saucer magnolias and gently direct one up the hill to a ‘hidden children’s garden. Below, mature cherries and dogwoods frame a garden bed of moisture-loving dawn redwoods, twiggy dogwoods and iteas. A dry river-bed absorbs excess water.

Green River Stone Company's private quarry lies at the bottom of an ancient lake. 50 million years ago, fortuitous conditions combined to preserve fish perfectly.
Our technicians remove excess stone using fine hand tools to reveal the pristine fossils in stunning detail. The finished fossil mural is a snapshot in time, a timeless piece of natural art.
