To solve this Irving homeowner's drainage issues, Archadeck removed the gravel and flagstone and first installed a gravity French system consisting of 6-inch PVC pipes and ten catch basins. This portion of the project extended out 200-feet. We also installed nine downspout connectors to the six-inch PVC pipes. This system allows gravity to divert the excess water from the area.

After staging, the master feels refreshed and a bit more luxurious. Most of the excess and dated furniture was removed, creating a sense of calm while at the same time updating the space. Clean white drapes replaced the dark blue drapes, making the room less blue. We used the existing bedding by flipping it over to the solid reverse side. To save money, the bedskirt was made from the drapes we removed.

This once dated master suite is now a bright and eclectic space with influence from the homeowners travels abroad. We transformed their overly large bathroom with dysfunctional square footage into cohesive space meant for luxury. We created a large open, walk in shower adorned by a leathered stone slab. The new master closet is adorned with warmth from bird wallpaper and a robin's egg blue chest. We were able to create another bedroom from the excess space in the redesign. The frosted glass french doors, blue walls and special wall paper tie into the feel of the home. In the bathroom, the Bain Ultra freestanding tub below is the focal point of this new space. Natural, irregular stone has been shaped into a circular patio with gaps between for faux turf. The patio takes on a natural look without any excessive maintenance requirements.

Placing the shower controls at the front of the shower keeps users from getting wet or sprayed with water that is too hot or cold. We used the "single fist" approach in selecting all materials so that regardless of grip, anyone could independently operate the shower. The foam niche enabled the line to go through the seat itself without excessive additional plumbing costs. The use of higher end, darker tile on the seat and niche are good for visual acuity. The rain garden depression is dug out and prepared for the plantings. In front is the overflow channel to allow excess water to flow out of the rain garden to be absorbed by the lawn. At the top is the entrance channel and stone work.

In this elegant and simple kitchen renovation, the owners wanted to add extra lighting to two places in the kitchen that normally do not receive enough light - the under cabinet area and in the cabinets. The owners wanted to find a simple solution without having excess installation requirements, such as drilling and work to fit large traditional lighting fixtures. Here instead they looked to Solid Apollo for the slim and easy to install LED Strip Light - shown here in the beautiful Warm White color, which suits the wood cabinet colors. The LED Strip Light has an extremely low profile and includes double sided sticky back tape for an easy to install and permanent installation. This N.E. Portland home had an old lawn edge to edge. We designed this Rain Garden with simple inexpensive features and it was listed a few months later. A selling point included the information that it had become a City of Portland Certified Rain Garden, and was registered to receive $11.00 per month rebates on its storm water (water) bill for the life of the maintained rain garden. It sold quickly for in excess of the listed price. This owner has us doing a similar landscape makeover design to the new home they have purchased in Vancouver, Washington.

Automated shades not only add beauty and functionality to a space, they also are green.
