THEME Inspired by the Magic Tree House series of children’s books, this indoor tree house provides entertainment, fun and a place for children to read about or imagine adventures through time. A blue sky, green meadows, and distant matching beech trees recreate the magic of Jack and Annie’s Frog Creek, and help bring the characters from the series to life. FOCUS A floor armoire, ceiling swing and climbing rope give the structure a true tree house look and feel. A drop-down drawing and writing table, wheeled work table and recessed ceiling lights ensure the room can be used for more than play. The tree house has electric interior lighting, a window to the outdoors and a playful sliding shutter over a window to the room. The armoire forms a raised, nine-foot-wide play area, while a TV within one of the wall’s floor-to-ceiling cabinets — with a delightful sliding ladder — transforms the room into a family theater perfect for watching movies and holding Wii competitions. STORAGE The bottom of the drawing table is a magnetic chalk board that doubles as a display for children’s art works. The tree’s small niches are for parents’ shoes; the larger compartment stores children’s shoes and school bags. Books, games, toys, DVDs, Wii and other computer accessories are stored in the wall cabinets. The armoire contains two spacious drawers and four nifty hinged storage bins. A rack of handy “vegetable buckets” above the armoire stores crayons, scissors and other useful items. GROWTH The room easily adapts from playroom, to party room, to study room and even to bedroom, as the tree house easily accommodates a twin-size mattress. SAFETY The rungs and rails of the ladder, as well as the grab bars beside the tree house door are wrapped with easy-grip rope for safe climbing. The drawing table has spring-loaded hinges to help prevent it from dropping dangerously from the wall, and the table door has double sets of locks up top to ensure safety. The interior of each storage compartment is carpeted like the tree house floor to provide extra padding.

Every detail of this cool gray transitional kitchen design in Yardley, PA combines to create a stunning space, packed with stylish and practical features. The Dura Supreme stacked Avery style kitchen cabinets are painted zinc with a shadow glaze to add depth to the finish. The upper cabinets have a mullion style door, and the island is in a contrasting dark finish with glass front cabinets on one side. This is beautifully accented by Top Knobs bar pulls and a Dekton by Cosentino Entzo countertop with 2" mitered edge and a double waterfall countertop on the island. The cabinetry includes ample storage accessories, such as a tray divider, spice drawer, roll outs, and pull out base cabinet. This stylish family of four came to us yearning for added functionality with flair. The couple recently updated other areas of the home on their own quite beautifully, but realized they needed the help of professionals when it came to the kitchen and mudroom. The new kitchen plan enlarged the island with additional seating, eliminated soffits for extra storage and an updated look, and swapped out the desk for a message center with a hidden charging/drop area. A cozy banquette was designed for the eat-in area of the kitchen. Drawers below the bench add storage to this gathering spot. Aesthetic elements with a soft industrial feel to compliment the new interiors were desired. Beautiful island detailing with tall brackets, panels and base molding in a lovely grey paint in contrast to the white perimeter create a focal point for the space. The homeowner sourced a fun light fixture to top off the island. This along with a stainless chimney hood and appliances add to the overall industrial appeal. Grey cabinetry in the mudroom flows with the kitchen while adding cubbies and a bench with lockers above. A cabinetry surround for the washer and dryer integrates the built-ins in a space that works hard while looking pretty.

This moody Industrial Farmhouse Kitchen is one of our all time favorite designs! Lucky for us this young family called upon our skills yet again to dream & deliver a cohesive new look for the entire main level of their Moorestown, New Jersey home. We knew Tracy & Tim really loved the end result of their mancave basement, with its painted black ceiling, and industrial vibe. The kitchen, however, needed to be a bit lighter so it would connect to the rest of their home. Solutions: bigger windows, dark gray & distressed walnut cabinets, a burnished copper hood, mesh textures (both in the bar and the stools), lighter quartz counters, and a backsplash that looks like whitewashed brick. We even infused some extra style and function by having a custom bay storage bench created for their empty bay window. This mud room just had to connect to the dark gray and wood tones of the kitchen, as the lockers are easily seen down the back hall. Custom storage with heavy duty mesh, oversized cabinet pulls, organizer charging and family calendar center are jsut a few of the well thought out details in this wonderful space!
