Brunswick Parlour transforms a Victorian cottage into a hard-working, personalised home for a family of four. Our clients loved the character of their Brunswick terrace home, but not its inefficient floor plan and poor year-round thermal control. They didn't need more space, they just needed their space to work harder. The front bedrooms remain largely untouched, retaining their Victorian features and only introducing new cabinetry. Meanwhile, the main bedroom’s previously pokey en suite and wardrobe have been expanded, adorned with custom cabinetry and illuminated via a generous skylight. At the rear of the house, we reimagined the floor plan to establish shared spaces suited to the family’s lifestyle. Flanked by the dining and living rooms, the kitchen has been reoriented into a more efficient layout and features custom cabinetry that uses every available inch. In the dining room, the Swiss Army Knife of utility cabinets unfolds to reveal a laundry, more custom cabinetry, and a craft station with a retractable desk. Beautiful materiality throughout infuses the home with warmth and personality, featuring Blackbutt timber flooring and cabinetry, and selective pops of green and pink tones. The house now works hard in a thermal sense too. Insulation and glazing were updated to best practice standard, and we’ve introduced several temperature control tools. Hydronic heating installed throughout the house is complemented by an evaporative cooling system and operable skylight. The result is a lush, tactile home that increases the effectiveness of every existing inch to enhance daily life for our clients, proving that good design doesn’t need to add space to add value.

This Leawood, Kansas primary bathroom remodel was designed to support a growing family's changing needs while creating a more functional and timeless retreat. The existing layout was reimagined to improve daily routines, replacing an underutilized bathtub with a spacious walk-in shower featuring dual showerheads and a transom window that fills the space with natural light while maintaining privacy. The renovation extended beyond the bathroom to enhance the adjoining closet. By reclaiming square footage from the former shower location, the design created additional storage and incorporated a dedicated washer and dryer for greater everyday convenience. Thoughtful planning and purposeful design decisions helped maximize functionality without sacrificing style. Completed just before the homeowners welcomed their new baby, this remodel was designed to simplify daily life while providing a beautiful and enduring space that will serve the family for years to come.

We went with a simple bathroom design for clients guests and family. All plumbing was relocated and the shower size was expanded with a new window installed in the bathroom.

This TVL project focused primarily on a gut of this home's only bathroom and included a facelift in the kitchen as well. This lovely Denver home features a very tiny bathroom with mostly original features. Our client requested a makeover to the bathroom that would improve function & health as well as push the bright white minimalism she loves so much throughout her home. Respecting both budget and timeline, we worked to create a highly functional space with nods toward European bathroom design. We increased space between the toilet and vanity while also increasing storage by integrating a vanity with drawers rather than a pedestal sink. We utilized high gloss white tile on the floors to help expand light and replaced all major plumbing fixtures for a fresh look. The bathroom now features a much deeper alcove tub, elongated white subway tiles on the walls, shiny chrome faucet fixtures, and a new vanity light. In the kitchen, new white shaker cabinets were installed and paired with a simple white subway tile backsplash. White quartz countertops and new hardwood floors were also added. We love the clean, bright, simple nature of every space in this house and are so happy our wonderful client can enjoy these for years to come!

The theme that this owner conveyed for their bathroom was “Boho Garden Shed” To achieve that, space between the bedroom and bath that was being used as a walk thru closet was captured to expand the square footage. The room went from 44 sq. ft to 96, allowing for a separate soaking tub and walk in shower. New closet cabinets were added to the bedroom to make up for the loss. An existing HVAC run located inside the original closet had to be incorporated into the design, so a small closet accessed by a barn style door was built out and separates the two custom barnwood vanities in the new bathroom space. A jeweled green-blue hexagon tile installed in a random pattern achieved the boho look that the owner was seeking. Combining it with slate look black floor tile, rustic barnwood, and mixed finishes on the fixtures, the bathroom achieved the garden shed aspect of the concept.

When we began designing this space, the homeowner knew they did not want to expand the original overall layout of the kitchen, just make minor adjustments to better improve their space and make the kitchen function more for their daily use. By incorporating some cabinetry modification features, such as half-moon lazy susan pull-outs, a trash can unit, and a spice rack, these accessories alone gave the homeowner more organization in her kitchen, ultimately giving her more room in other cabinetry, since everything now had its place. The beautiful touch to complete this kitchen was the design of wrapping the back of the peninsula in the custom-painted finish, of Sherwin William's color, "Salty Dog," giving this space that pop of rich color, while the remainder of the kitchen features natural, crisp, elegant features.

A white 66" freestanding tub takes up less physical and visual space than the previous built-in tub and allowed for an expanded shower. The original layout had the sinks on opposite sides of the room. Joining the sinks in a single vanity over 8' allowed the space for a huge linen closet. The couple each had their own wish lists. Hers was focused on aesthetics and was very clear: a contrasting combo of dark and crisp-white tile along with warm wood, soft bronze plumbing finishes, and an elegant soaking tub. The mirrors on both sides of the inner medicine cabinet make them bright and sleek without having to be lit. -Open elegance – spacious tone and feel created by free-standing tub highlighted by a large wall mirror and oversized sconces -White quartz with black and bronze veining ties all the materials together -Warm, contrasting character of walnut adds a nice infusion of nature into the spa-like space THE RENEWED SPACE This elegant bathroom is all about symmetry and well-thought-out details. A classic, spa-like appeal emanates from simple beveled subway tile, herringbone patterns in the floor and shower niches, and the gorgeous walnut vanity. The result is a beautiful bathroom that checks all the boxes from the homeowners’ original wish lists.

With this full home rebuild we opted for a modern design, opening up the interior, increasing the square footage. We expanded the kitchen, adding an island and custom cabinetry. We split one bathroom into two and installed floating vanities. Italian porcelain tiles and countertops all around gives this house a pristine polished look. We redid all the electrical work, and rebuilt the garage as a yoga studio. We totally redesigned and re-fenced the backyard, installing an outdoor kitchen creating the perfect environment for hosting.

Our recent primary bathroom remodel transformed a dated shower-tub combo into a spacious, modern haven. We introduced a dedicated laundry hamper area and expanded the shower footprint, then elevated the space with new tile flooring, a sleek vanity, stylish faucets, fresh mirrors, updated lighting, and a calming paint palette. THE SETUP When we first encountered this basement for a family with three boys, we saw a space with untapped potential. Though previously remodeled, it lacked a cohesive design strategy. The expansive area housed various entertainment pieces (a shuffleboard table, air hockey, foosball, etc.) scattered haphazardly throughout the space. While the basement included a workout room and a rudimentary kitchen area, it lacked a dedicated game room or proper bar. Excessive storage closets along the back wall consumed valuable real estate that could be repurposed for more engaging uses. In essence, the basement was spacious but disjointed—functional for family use but falling short as an entertainment hub. It didn’t align with the sophistication of the rest of the home. Our clients envisioned a transformation: a fresh, organized space that would not only serve their family’s needs but also shine as an inviting arena for entertaining friends and hosting gatherings – especially sports-focused gatherings! Design Objectives: Reimagine the basement layout, creating distinct zones for varied activities. Expand the workout area to accommodate new equipment, including a Smith machine. Implement a multi-screen setup inspired by high-end sports bars, allowing guests to follow multiple games while socializing. Enhance existing features while developing new areas: Optimize a workout space for all equipment needs Establish a dedicated children’s space with guest room capabilities Create an integrated bar and entertainment area Retain and incorporate the existing projector setup Design Challenges: Navigate layout constraints in the new workout room due to fixed utility areas. Carve out a distinct space for kids within the open plan. Revitalize an underutilized section of the basement. Elevate the existing big screen area with purposeful design elements. Develop a full-fledged bar area while maintaining kitchen functions applicable for hangout snacking. Work around immovable structural elements (soffits, load-bearing support columns) THE RENEWED SPACE Design Solutions: Install a stylish barn door for the utility area of the new workout space, improving aesthetics and accessibility. Repurpose the former workout room into a dedicated game room for kids, utilizing couches with pull-out beds so the area can double as overflow guest accommodations. Transform the unused area into a vibrant pub-style area for card and table games. Enhance the big screen area with elegant wainscoting and ambient theatre-style lighting. Design a multi-functional wet bar area featuring varied seating, prep areas, and a microwave. Base the bar sink area width off the soffit above it. In the big screen area, use the soffit to inform the width of a wainscoting section. For the immovable support columns, dress one up to match the wainscoting of the nearby big screen wall. Hide the other one in a new wall. Final Thoughts: The reimagined basement has exceeded our clients’ expectations, evolving into the ultimate entertainment hub. With seven strategically placed screens, it’s perfect for gatherings focused on major sporting events and casual gatherings, as well. The space strikes a balance between adult sophistication and family-friendly functionality, featuring distinct zones for various activities. The new design not only maximizes functionality for modern, multi-screen entertainment but also elevates the aesthetic appeal. It integrates flawlessly with the rest of the home’s transitional style while allowing each basement section to maintain its unique character. A curved black river rock floor and neutral linear wall tiles add warmth and texture, while carefully placed niche lighting enhances the tranquil, luxurious atmosphere. Workout-Friendly Layout – A custom full-length mirror was strategically placed to accommodate multiple uses, creating a fitness studio-like experience for yoga or light weight training. The mirror’s size and positioning allow for clear visibility during workouts, while also enhancing the room by adding light and a greater sense of depth. Custom Storage Solutions – A custom cabinet with a wood top was crafted to discreetly store workout equipment, preserving the clean, open feel of the space. Its design not only enhances functionality but also creates a sense of symmetry, bringing visual balance and cohesion to the overall layout. Enhanced Lighting – Replacing the shower wall with glass, installing a full-length mirror, and incorporating vanity mirrors with built-in lighting dramatically brighten the space. LED strip lighting under the cabinets, along the tub half wall, and in both the side and shower niches adds layered illumination, enhancing both function and ambiance. Heated Floors – Installing heated flooring provides consistent warmth and comfort year-round, enhancing the space for both workouts and daily routines. A European-style towel warmer brings additional warmth and a touch of luxury, elevating the overall experience. Final Thoughts: This transformed bathroom blends luxury with intentional design. By addressing the homeowners’ needs – from workout flexibility to spa-inspired details – the space now serves multiple purposes without compromise. The warm cabinetry, black accents and thoughtful lighting tie the design together, while the curved textures and plant-friendly ledge add a personalized touch. Don't forget to check out the beautiful dark stained beams on the ceiling. These were lighter before the remodel. Holiday Kitchens Cabinets make an appearance in this kitchen with their Canterbury door style. The perimeter cabinets are painted Antique White while the island cabinets are cerused in Cyprus with a Mink wash. Atop the cabinets, you'll find Camria quartz around the perimeter & island bar in Canongate with Dekton in Entzo on the lower part of the island. The sink is Blanco's Precis granite sink in White. Kohler makes a showing with their Sensate faucet in oil rubbed bronze to match the finish on the rest of the hardware. Some of the other features of this kitchen include a backsplash done with Insulation & Supply's Urbane line in Soho and hardwood flooring from Mannington's Hickory 3/8" Random line in Fawn. The rest of the kitchen is set up to make cooking convenient with appliance garages, pull out utensil drawers, pull up mixer storage, verticle storage for cooking sheets, and a pantry with layers of shelves easy access to all those important ingredients This homeowner can truly have everything their fingertips.

Amazing transformation for the outdated bathroom that needed a huge face-lift. The old bathroom had many walls, a large outdated tub, and glass cube shower walls. It was removing walls and expanding slightly into the bedroom allowed for the expansive steam shower and show stopper free-standing tub by Victoria & Albert. The continued use of white natural stone tile and countertop (bianco dolomiti - all natural stone, la blanc quartzite countertop). The polished nickel plumbing fixtures brings the glam to this luxury master bathroom. The large curbless steam shower is another show stopper in this bathroom, floor to ceiling glass and a beautiful mosaic tile flooring and the faint horizontal lines of the wall tile bring much-needed relaxation to this shower. The final touch is the expansive double vanity from Signature Custom Cabinetry in beautiful alder wood in a light brown stain - driftwood. These items create the luxurious open bathroom that this client had always dreamed of.

This custom IKEA kitchen remodel was designed by removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room expanding the space creating a larger kitchen with eat-in island. The custom IKEA cabinet fronts and walnut cabinets were built by Dendra Doors. We created a custom exhaust hood for under $1,800 using the IKEA DATID fan insert and building a custom surround painted white with walnut trim providing a minimalistic appearance at an affordable price. The tile on the back of the island was hand painted and imported to us finishing off this quirky one of a kind kitchen.
