Inspiration for an industrial bathroom remodel in Miami

Clean and simple kitchen with grain matched cabinets. The clients wanted a modern farmhouse look with all the modern functioning extras. We began with the layout which includes panels on the d.w. and fridge, a full trash pull out and swing out in the blind corner. We then went on to design the curved walnut legs on the island, and the custom lay out of the plate rack. The floating shelves with bar for hooks for mugs filled out the function part of the design. Next we found a type of wood that was warm and brown but not too yellow or red. The matching grain of the rift sawn white oak was the choice. The legs on the island are oak which match the stools. The countertops and subway tile and hardware rounded out the choices.

Home was designed to be a formal house but was now being used as a weekend retreat. Ann Kenkel had to decorate the house in a manner which was coastal enough so owner's felt like they were on vacation yet formal enough for the style of the house. AK found the house filled with wallpaper from the 1980's. Wallpaper from every room was removed and all trim had to be painted a neutral color. The formal dining room only had one entry. AK opened up a second entry into the dining room which provided a view of the Chesapeake Bay. Inspiration for an industrial kitchen remodel in Miami

The kitchen was built primarily for use by caterers at large parties. There's a 12’ long kitchen section for cooking which contains a 30” RCS Pro Series grill and double side burner. Over the grill is a 36” fire magic vent hood with custom stainless chase cover. The backsplash for the cooking area is 12x18 linen texture tile as an accent, and to make cleaning easier. There's plenty of counter space for prep or chafing dishes. There's also an 8’ long bar section with raised bar on 3 sides and a stainless bar sink. Guests can fill their plates or a bartender can serve drinks from here. The front of the bar section also uses the same tile as the backsplash to prevent shoes from marking up the stucco. TK IMAGES
