The sleek white countertops, likely Kitchen: Caesarstone - Organic White, provide a clean and durable surface for all your culinary endeavors. The modern Kitchen Sink, possibly an Elkay Crosstown Single Basin, is paired with a stylish faucet, which could be a Brizo Litze Smart Touch Single Lever Kitchen Faucet, offering both elegance and convenience. A practical Basket Strainer, perhaps a Wolverine Brass-Chrome, adds to the sink's functionality.

This Soake concrete plunge pool was photographed at dusk- the most magical part of the day. The color changing LED pool light creates an alluring glow in the water.

A Traditional Kitchen with a touch of Glitz & Glam. This kitchen features 2 islands with our antiqued blue finish, the perimeter is creme with a brown glaze, limestone floors, the tops are Jerusalem Grey-Gold limestone, an antiqued mirror ceiling detail, our custom tin hood & refrigerator panels, a La Cornue CornuFe 110, a TopBrewer, and a hand-carved farm sink.
Fun Fact: This was the first kitchen in the US to have a TopBrewer installed in it!

CHALLENGE:
-Owners want easy to maintain (white) kitchen
-Must also serve as a workspace & accommodate three laptops & separate personal files
-Existing kitchen has odd, angled wall of cabinets due to configuration of stairs in foyer
SOLUTION:
-Expand space by removing wall between kitchen & dining room
-Relocate dining room into (rarely used) study
-Remove columns between kitchen & new dining
-Enlarge walk-in pantry by squaring off angles in stair wall
-Make pantry entry a camouflaged, surprising feature by creating doors out of cabinetry
-Add natural illumination with 6’ picture window
-Make ceiling one plane
-Add calculated runways of recessed LED lights on dimmers
-Lighting leads to dynamic marble back splash behind range on back wall
-New double islands & ceiling-high cabinetry quadruple previous counter & storage space
-9’ island with seating includes three workstations
-Seating island offers under counter electronics charging ports & three shelves of storage per workstation in cabinets directly in front of stools
-Behind stools, lower cabinetry provides one drawer & two pull-out shelves per workstation
-7’ prep island services 48” paneled refrigerator & 48” gas range & includes 2nd sink, 2nd dishwasher & 2nd trash/recycling station
-Wine/beverage chiller located opposite island sink
-Both sink spigots are touch-less & are fed by whole-house water filtration system
-Independent non-leaching faucet delivers purified, double-pass reverse osmosis drinking water
-Exhaust fan for gas range is hidden inside bridge of upper cabinets
-Flat, easy-to-clean, custom, stainless-steel plate frames exhaust fan
-New built-in window seat in bay window increases seating for informal dining while reducing floor space needed for table and chairs
-New configuration allows unobstructed windows & French doors to flood space with natural light & enhances views
-Open the screened porch doors to circulate fresh air throughout the home

This home’s kitchen isn’t large and needed to somehow hold a mudroom area as the detached garage enters into the space. I carefully planned out all storage needs and we were able to add a wide, double door cabinet closet by the back door. The upper area holds coats and clutter. The lower doors have hooks and boot trays for backpacks and shoes. Paneling the Subzero fridge helps with softening the weight of the large appliance, as does the panel on the dishwasher. Little details like the skirt on the toe area and the beautiful hood and island posts make this smaller work space truly special!

Privacy was the main concern for these homeowners. Through careful sloping and landscaping, a completely secluded pool area was achieved. The vinyl lined pool is entered by strong fiberglass steps which stand up to two Golden Retrievers swimming almost every day.

The clients believed the peninsula footprint was required due to the unique entry points from the hallway leading to the dining room and the foyer. The new island increases storage, counters and a more pleasant flow of traffic from all directions.
The biggest challenge was trying to make the structural beam that ran perpendicular to the space work in a new design; it was off center and difficult to balance the cabinetry and functional spaces to work with it. In the end it was decided to increase the budget and invest in moving the header in the ceiling to achieve the best design, esthetically and funcationlly.
Specific storage designed to meet the clients requests include:
- pocket doors at counter tops for everyday appliances
- deep drawers for pots, pans and Tupperware
- island includes designated zone for baking supplies
- tall and shallow pantry/food storage for easy access near island
- pull out spice near cooking
- tray dividers for assorted baking pans/sheets, cutting boards and numerous other serving trays
- cutlery and knife inserts and built in trash/recycle bins to keep things organized and convenient to use, out of sight
- custom design hutch to hold various, yet special dishes and silverware
Elements of design chosen to meet the clients wishes include:
- painted cabinetry to lighten up the room that lacks windows and give relief/contrast to the expansive wood floors
- monochromatic colors throughout give peaceful yet elegant atmosphere
o stained island provides interest and warmth with wood, but still unique in having a different stain than the wood floors – this is repeated in the tile mosaic backsplash behind the rangetop
- punch of fun color used on hutch for a unique, furniture feel
- carefully chosen detailed embellishments like the tile mosaic, valance toe boards, furniture base board around island, and island pendants are traditional details to not only the architecture of the home, but also the client’s furniture and décor.
- Paneled refrigerator minimizes the large appliance, help keeping an elegant feel
Superior cooking equipment includes a combi-steam oven, convection wall ovens paired with a built-in refrigerator with interior air filtration to better preserve fresh foods.

Sleek, flat paneled cabinets, new LED lighting and glossy white glass appliances transformed the dated kitchen into a more contemporary expression still fitting the home’s 80’s modern architectural style. Lighting by E2 Electric.
Jennifer went with a stainless steel sink; iron in the water stains anything else. She went with a Moen brushed nickel faucet with side spray and a RO (reverse osmosis) hot/cold water filtration system (drinking water purification system).

A One of Kind, this floating aquarium divides the entry from the family room but keeps with the open concept of the entire space. Filtration equipment for this project is located on a lower level with the piping inside the columns on the sides of the aquarium.

This is a multi-frame shot of a new design. This all-natural, ORGANIC European design combines rainwater harvesting with a Recreation style Water Garden/Pond. The crystal clear fresh water is also used to irrigate vegetables and an orchard. Biological filtration, aquatic plants and sub-surface aeration keep the water 'Gin-Clear' and so clean you could drink it! Mark Carter
