The raised panel doors, wood mullions in the glass cabinets, and open cabinet with a valance to display the homeowner's collection all bring this kitchen together with a beautiful design and functional layout.

We designed the cabinetry to fit precisely around the refrigerator, which is recessed into the wall a little to keep the kitchen open and allow the refrigerator cabinet to be flush with the adjacent counter tops. The modern stainless steel appliances assist in making this traditional kitchen appealing and fully functional. The refinished oak floors and sage green cabinets with the flat black hardware produce a welcoming atmosphere. The mission: turn an unused back patio into a space where mom and dad and kids can all play and enjoy being together. Dad is an avid video gamer, mom and dad love to play board games with friends and family, and the kids love to draw and play. After the patio received a new enclosure and ceiling with recessed LED lights, my solution was to divide this long space into two zones, one for adults and one for kids, but unified with a sky blue and soothing green color palette and coordinating rugs. To the right we have a comfortable sofa with poufs gathered around a specialty cocktail table that turns into a gaming table featuring a recessed well which corrals boards, game pieces, and dice (and a handy grooved lip for propping up game cards), and also has a hidden pop-up monitor that connects to game consoles or streams films/television. I designed a shelving system to wrap around the back of a brick fireplace that includes narrow upper shelving to store board games, and plenty of other spots for fun things like working robotic models of R2D2 and BB8! Over in the kids’ zone, a handy storage system with blue doors, a modular play table in a dark blue grey, and a sweet little tee pee lined with fur throws for playing, hiding, or napping gives this half of the room an organized way for kids to express themselves. Magnetic art holders on the wall display an ever-changing gallery of finger paintings and school crafts. This back patio is now a fun room sunroom where the whole family can play!

For ease of use we added lots of drawers and roll out shelves in the cabinetry of this kitchen to give the homeowners the perfectly functional layout they wanted.

The tall pantry at the end opens up to roll out shelves, perfect for easy and efficient storage. When you open the doors interior LED strip lights down each side illuminate the cabinet's contents.

We wanted the cook top base cabinet and wall cabinet above the vent deeper than the adjacent cabinetry for aesthetic value and for visual contrast the homeowners chose black knobs and cup pulls with a dark counter top.

For a young family of four in Oakland’s Redwood Heights neighborhood we remodeled and enlarged one bathroom and created a second bathroom at the rear of the existing garage. This family of four was outgrowing their home but loved their neighborhood. They needed a larger bathroom and also needed a second bath on a different level to accommodate the fact that the mother gets ready for work hours before the others usually get out of bed. For the hard-working Mom, we created a new bathroom in the garage level, with luxurious finishes and fixtures to reward her for being the primary bread-winner in the family. Based on a circle/bubble theme we created a feature wall of circular tiles from Porcelanosa on the back wall of the shower and a used a round Electric Mirror at the vanity. Other luxury features of the downstairs bath include a Fanini MilanoSlim shower system, floating lacquer vanity and custom built in cabinets. For the upstairs bathroom, we enlarged the room by borrowing space from the adjacent closets. Features include a rectangular Electric Mirror, custom vanity and cabinets, wall-hung Duravit toilet and glass finger tiles.

The beaded inset cabinets with raised panel doors and drawer fronts are the perfect style for this home. We designed decorative posts around the island and on the sink base with a valance to further achieve the 'look and feel'.
