DL solutions inc. managed the design and installation of a motorized louvered roof system within a newly constructed pergola. Working with the contractor for the pergola throughout its design and construction, we were able to ensure compatibility with the louvered roof system. The finished product has exterior powder coated, operable louvers to block or expose sun as desired, and also provides protection against rain; all controlled via keypad and a radio frequency remote.

This bathroom is a tranquil and inviting space. The tile wainscoting creates a seamless, clean line of sight leading into the shower. The decorative splash wraps the vanity and continues into the shower area, again reinforcing the clean sight lines. The mosaic is a stone and glass blend with a modern style and color pallet. The porcelain tile is maintenance free and durable. The pattern mimics the look of vein cut travertine, giving the space a natural look while maintaining the ease of maintenance. The larger format of the tiles decreases the frequency of the grout lines. The dark vanity cabinet gives a great contrast with the neutral pallet of the tile, and adds to the overall appeal of the space. The granite is subdued in its movement and compliments the modern color tones found in the decorative glass mosaic. The brushed nickel fixtures finish off the space. The square trim on the faucets and shower trim give this space a great finishing touch.

The customers desired a secluded environment for retreat at the end of a long workday. The project began with stone selection. We desired an organic stone that would age beautifully over time, and shape the walls and features of the space.
Our team faced major logistics challenges throughout the project. The wooded property sloped away from the house dramatically making difficulty bringing in large materials and machinery needed to complete the job. Tree protection and a temporary road were constructed for the duration of the project.
Stone placement was key to success for this project. We hand-selected each boulder for the project and assembled the stones by similar grain patterns and colors to create authenticity. The idea was to give the illusion that these natural limestone formations existed on the property before the home and landscaping was created adding a great mystery to the overall feature.
The viewer is surrounded by large stone walls with cascades of water that have shaped the stone over time. The viewer is given the illusion that the source of water comes from the distance of the property and cascades into a secluded area. We designed an underground cistern to hold rain water run-off allowing the water feature to naturally filter the water for re-use.
The pump system is run on a Variable Frequency Drive for programmable automation, allowing the customer to run the waterfall at different flow rates at different times of day allowing for operation cost savings, and low energy consumption.

A neighborly Andrena (Andrena vicina) visits common blue violet (Viola sororia) — a good reminder that even commonly-occurring plants such as violets can provide forage for bees, especially in early spring.

This is a project completed some time back that shows an uncommonly creative approach to hiding some audiophile bookshelf speakers inside an attractive TV console.
We worked with the cabinet designer to come up with discreet horizontal, speaker cloth enclosures, righ and left, to hide these audio gems.
Inside the cabinet are all the Audio/Video/Internet Equipment with the Radio Frequency Remote allowing equipment to be operated with doors closed. Nothing cutting edge, just a clean, understated presentation.
The moral of the story don't let cookie cutter approaches to cabinetry constrain your possibilities.

As requested by a 5-Star customer, who recently moved to Florida, our team installed a multi-room audio system and a small home theater.
With the stamp of our quality, we provided, installed, and set up a Sonos / Sonance system for different rooms, featuring the outdoor area, that also included outdoor tv. Natural and soft sound across the whole area, covering the full audio frequency spectrum and the easy and enjoyable way to use the system, makes the multi-room audio system the first entertainment option in the house (according to our customer).

How long is the life of the lighting fixture?
Lamps and transformers vary in quality, but lamps made of brass, copper or stainless steel can stay bright for a long time. The life of the lamp also depends on its frequency of use and environmental conditions. If the lamps are frequently exposed to wind and rain, or if they are used frequently, then they may need to be maintained and replaced more frequently.
