When my clients recently purchased this home, this room in the basement was a playroom for the previous owner's children. Marc works from home frequently and needed a functional, organized, and quiet space to work. In addition, he and his wife, Michele wanted to be able to store a collection of photo albums. The project had a few challenges, including the height of the window, a door that swings into the room, and a water valve access panel that needed to be moved. Marc took care of the water valve acces, and we did the rest. File storage, office supply storage, adjustable shelves, adequate counter space, crown moulding, and raised panel doors and drawers, make this room both stylish and functional.

This beautiful French Provincial home is set on 10 acres, nestled perfectly in the oak trees. The original home was built in 1974 and had two large additions added; a great room in 1990 and a main floor master suite in 2001. This was my dream project: a full gut renovation of the entire 4,300 square foot home! I contracted the project myself, and we finished the interior remodel in just six months. The exterior received complete attention as well. The 1970s mottled brown brick went white to completely transform the look from dated to classic French. Inside, walls were removed and doorways widened to create an open floor plan that functions so well for everyday living as well as entertaining. The white walls and white trim make everything new, fresh and bright. It is so rewarding to see something old transformed into something new, more beautiful and more functional.

Because of its convenient location and outdoor living feel, a patio is often seen as an extension of our indoor living space. Whether it's made of stone, brick or concrete, this paved spot is frequently the life of the party, especially when you add a grill, fire pit or fireplace. With an outdoor kitchen and dining set, it can become your favorite eating spot, while an abundance of patio furniture and colorful decor turns it into the perfect sunny lounge.

This modern kitchen services a family with 4 teen-aged kids, frequent out-of-town guests, many friends and family gatherings. At one point, my client even ran a catering business from her home. This kitchen gets used everyday!
It was great fun to work with these wonderful people on their complete remodel. The house features many windows, amazing Salt Lake Valley views, and two-story, high ceilings!

Set upon an oversized and highly sought-after creekside lot in Brentwood, this two story home and full guest home exude a casual, contemporary farmhouse style and vibe. The main residence boasts 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, each ensuite with thoughtful touches that accentuate the home’s overall classic finishes. The master retreat opens to a large balcony overlooking the yard accented by mature bamboo and palms. Other features of the main house include European white oak floors, recessed lighting, built in speaker system, attached 2-car garage and a laundry room with 2 sets of state-of-the-art Samsung washers and dryers. The bedroom suite on the first floor enjoys its own entrance, making it ideal for guests. The open concept kitchen features Calacatta marble countertops, Wolf appliances, wine storage, dual sinks and dishwashers and a walk-in butler’s pantry. The loggia is accessed via La Cantina bi-fold doors that fully open for year-round alfresco dining on the terrace, complete with an outdoor fireplace. The wonderfully imagined yard contains a sparkling pool and spa and a crisp green lawn and lovely deck and patio areas. Step down further to find the detached guest home, which was recognized with a Decade Honor Award by the Los Angeles Chapter of the AIA in 2006, and, in fact, was a frequent haunt of Frank Gehry who inspired its cubist design. The guest house has a bedroom and bathroom, living area, a newly updated kitchen and is surrounded by lush landscaping that maximizes its creekside setting, creating a truly serene oasis.

A very important factor in the design of this bath was to allow the client to stay in her home as long as possible. The vanity was designed to allow the client to sit at the sink and still have everything she needed at the her fingertips. When she finally needed to move about with the wheel chair, the bench could be removed and the sink would still be accessible to her. Smaller sized tiles were used to aid with increasing traction on the floor with wider and more frequent grout lines.

The homeowners of this California Cottage wanted a beach vibe in their 1700 sq. ft. home. They wanted to make the most of their spaces by widening doorways, adding wood floors throughout the house, and adding a skylight. The result is cozy, casual California living at its best with frequent family dinners and celebrations with friends. The teenage daughter in the family requested a colorful, patterned, ethnic vibe for her bedroom.

The 12x24 Calacatta floor tiles sit atop a Warmly Yours Heated floor system with programmable thermostat. The heated floors will warm up spaces in the bathroom where bare feet frequent and are innovative way to add comfort and luxury.

Designed as part of the Hearth Residence whole-home renovation, this custom coffee bar and beverage station combines open shelving, wine storage, and concealed cabinetry within a single millwork feature. Positioned adjacent to the main kitchen workspace, it supports daily routines while keeping frequently used items organized and accessible.
The integrated storage solution reflects the project’s broader focus on interior architecture, thoughtful space planning, and creating a home designed around the family’s everyday lifestyle.

New French doors (replacing sliders) create an easy flow from the tailored interior to the immaculately landscaped terrace and pool - perfect for large summer parties, away from the main floor above, which the owners frequently enjoy. What began as a raw basement ended up as a gracious, jewel-like setting for large-scale entertaining.
