This project has been created in collaboration with a European interior designer. The glass countertop has been made of 1 1/2” glass with a “Black Onyx” treatment. The use of a textured edge finish for exposed edges compliments the uniqueness of the product. The LED lights add volume to the countertop and fulfill it with an essential charm. The glass tabletop has been made of 1” Ultra Clear glass with a “Melting Ice” texture on the bottom.

Home offices are very personal spaces. While they need to fulfill an important functional role, they are also often filled with meaningful personal items. This office is furnished beautifully with an elegant desk, holds substantial storage, with a backdrop of delicate natural textures in the rug reminiscent of a garden, crisp linen drapes on a brass french return curtain rod, and the beginnings of a gallery wall.

This is not just any project. This is not just any house. This is a house of healing. My beloved and infinitely inspiring brother, Yeshaia Blakeney owns and runs this treatment center, The Integrity House. When my brother approached me about decorating this 7000 square foot Mediteranean home in Brentwood, I was thrilled. When he told me we had 2 weeks to complete this mission I was, well, admittedly a little bit freaked out. With the indispensable help of Emily, my brothers’ wife and powerhouse, we scoured LA to find a harmonious blend of vintage & contemporary furnishings and art, that would bring this house to life. But, before this creative process, before the decor and the art, I brought the sage and we all sat down on the living room floor, my mother lead the ceremony and we blessed the house. The 1987 home's master bathroom reflected that era, with a huge whirlpool tub, a laminate dual vanity, and mirrored walls. The clients wanted a renovation that captured an Old World style that reminded them of their time in Italy. We gave it a modern sensibility that made the space both practical and beautiful. We removed the mirrors, tub and glass shower and created a spacious shower where the tub used to be. Inside the shower, we added two stone-covered benches and bronze- finished grab bars for safety; his/her niches for bath products; and a rainfall shower head, body sprays and a handheld massage shower on a slide. A copper air tub with traditional lines gives the room a focal point. Rearranging the space allowed us to fulfill the clients' request for separate his/her vanities. The remote-controlled tub and shower functions are hidden by cabinetry. Inadequate fluorescent lights were replaced by LEDs and sconces with independent controls. Large porcelain tiles are accented with glass, stone and porcelain mosaic. A faux-iron grille above the shower allows air circulation while adding to the Italian feel. Neutral quartz countertops with textured, reflective glass lavatories set off dark, custom hickory cabinetry that gives the clients the storage they wanted, up to the ceiling, including pull- out drawers, a robe closet and outlet-equipped cabinets. And a David statue looks on from a lighted, recessed display space.

In a beautiful suburb on the north side of Houston, Texas, Joe and Kristen discovered their dream home—a property with a great lot, situated in a fantastic neighborhood with a thoughtfully designed floor plan. They had been drawn to the house for its charm and had admired the kitchen, which had been tastefully remodeled a few years earlier by a contractor who, despite doing excellent work, was no longer in business. However, upon moving in, they quickly realized that their master bathroom was woefully inadequate and in dire need of immediate repair. Determined to turn their bathroom into a luxurious retreat, Joe and Kristen sought out Houston Bath & Kitchen, a reputable design-build firm renowned for their meticulous process and outstanding results. They were impressed from the outset with the efficiency and expertise. In just 90 minutes, their design team presented a complete concept plan and provided a detailed estimate—a promising start to what would become an inspiring collaboration. Guided by Houston Bath & Kitchen's comprehensive approach, Joe and Kristen embarked on a thorough "design tour." The team expertly navigated them through the selection process, ensuring every choice aligned perfectly with their aesthetic preferences and practical needs. Together, they crafted a vision that included an oversized shower for two, creatively integrating a freestanding tub within the shower area—an innovative solution that maximized space and luxury. As the project progressed, The Houston Bath & Kitchen production team conducted a thorough "trade walk," meticulously inspecting the jobsite to uncover potential complexities and ensure no detail was overlooked. This step was crucial in setting reliable expectations and eliminating surprises. Detailing the scope of work was another pivotal phase, emphasizing transparency and clarity. Joe and Kristen felt reassured knowing exactly what to expect at each stage of the remodel. Houston Bath & Kitchen then moved into the "master planning phase," coordinating materials, surveys, and permits with precision. Trades were scheduled, and critical paths were identified—laying a solid foundation for a seamless execution. Throughout the process, communication remained robust, and the meticulous planning ensured the project stayed on track both in terms of time and budget. One of the standout features of the design was the intricate tile work that adorned the walls and floors, fulfilling Joe and Kristen's desire for a design with variation and detail. Natural light was ingeniously incorporated through strategically placed windows and skylights, providing a serene ambiance without sacrificing privacy—a testament to Houston Bath & Kitchen's expertise in balancing functionality with aesthetics. The final touch of luxury came in the form of a heated floor, adding warmth and comfort to the space—a detail that epitomized Houston Bath & Kitchen's commitment to fulfilling every customer priority. Less than a year after the project was complete, Joe and Kristen made a decision to sell their home. Remarkably, the property went on the market and sold for $75,000 over asking price—a testament to the transformative impact of their newly remodeled master bathroom. While the exact influence of the bathroom on the bidding war remains speculative, it undoubtedly played a significant role in the home's appeal and ultimate sale price. The success of their home sale not only underscored the value of their investment but also highlighted the expertise and dedication of Houston Bath & Kitchen in delivering a space that not only met but exceeded their expectations. Joe and Kristen stepped into their newly remodeled master bathroom with hearts full of joy. The space surpassed their dreams, reflecting their style and enhancing their daily lives—a sanctuary that would be cherished for years to come, thanks to Houston Bath & Kitchen's skillful guidance and commitment to excellence.

After more than a decade in their new Alexandria home, our clients decided their kitchen was ready for a major refresh, both in form and function. The original stained wood cabinets and granite countertops had served them well, but the traditional design no longer fit with their evolving style which had become less formal and more transitional. The homeowners liked the idea of two-toned kitchen cabinets, so we opted for a combination of pure white and charcoal gray for dramatic contrast. Brushed gold fixtures and statement brass pulls add warmth and sophistication. The distinctive marble counters are a showstopper, with unique veining and striking color variation, from blue to gray to ochre. The shimmering blue-gray backsplash unites the entire space. The overall goal was to create an expansive entertaining kitchen that could accommodate our clients’ large gatherings of family and friends, and provide them with several zones for prepping, serving, seating, and socializing. Also high on the clients’ wish list: a more generous island, professional appliances, and better storage. We expanded the island in two directions to allow for comfortable seating at the counter with plenty of room for a table in the breakfast nook. An expandable bar height table in the adjacent dining area offers even more flexibility for eating and socializing. We designed a custom hutch which has a multitude of storage options and functionality – open display shelves, roll-outs, drawers, extra counter/serving space, as well as a beverage fridge and appliance garage/coffee center. On the opposite side of the kitchen, we replaced a small pantry closet with a furniture style built-in that took advantage of underutilized space. Anticipating issues with supply chain, we opted to use a local cabinet maker on this project which allowed us to fully customize the cabinets for optimal functionality. Other stand-out features include a Thermador appliance package, workstation farmhouse sink, ‘touch’ faucet, hot+cold water dispenser, and hidden toe-kick storage. Our clients now have a beautiful, cohesive space that reflects their personal style and fulfills their dream of a having an expansive kitchen where they can cook and entertain for years to come.

Contemporary raked rooflines give drama and beautiful lines to both the exterior and interior of the home. The exterior finished in Caviar black gives a soft presence to the home while emphasizing the gorgeous natural landscaping, while the Corten roof naturally rusts and patinas. Corridors separate the different hubs of the home. The entry corridor finished on both ends with full height glass fulfills the clients vision of a home — celebration of outdoors, natural light, birds, deer, etc. that are frequently seen crossing through. The large pool at the front of the home is a unique placement — perfectly functions for family gatherings. Panoramic windows at the kitchen 7' ideal workstation open up to the pool and patio (a great setting for Taco Tuesdays). The mostly white "Gathering" room was designed for this family to host their 15+ count dinners with friends and family. Large panoramic doors open up to the back patio for free flowing indoor and outdoor dining. Poggenpohl cabinetry throughout the kitchen provides the modern luxury centerpiece to this home. Walnut elements emphasize the lines and add a warm space to gather around the island. Pearlescent plaster finishes the walls and hood of the kitchen with a soft simmer and texture. Corridors were painted Caviar to provide a visual distinction of the spaces and to wrap the outdoors to the indoors. In the master bathroom, soft grey plaster was selected as a backdrop to the vanity and master shower. Contrasted by a deep green hue for the walls and ceiling, a cozy spa retreat was created. A corner cutout on the shower enclosure brings additional light and architectural interest to the space. In the powder bathroom, a large circular mirror mimics the black pedestal vessel sinks. Amber-colored cut crystal pendants are organically suspended. A patinated copper and walnut grid was hand-finished by the client. And in the guest bathroom, white and walnut make for a classic combination in this luxury guest bath. Jedi wall sconces are a favorite of guests — we love how they provide soft lighting and a spotlight to the surface.

Inspiration for a patio remodel in Boston

Perched in the foothills of Edna Valley, this single family residence was designed to fulfill the clients’ desire for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Much of the program and architectural forms were driven by the picturesque views of Edna Valley vineyards, visible from every room in the house. Ample amounts of glazing brighten the interior of the home, while framing the classic Central California landscape. Large pocketing sliding doors disappear when open, to effortlessly blend the main interior living spaces with the outdoor patios. The stone spine wall runs from the exterior through the home, housing two different fireplaces that can be enjoyed indoors and out. Because the clients work from home, the plan was outfitted with two offices that provide bright and calm work spaces separate from the main living area. The interior of the home features a floating glass stair, a glass entry tower and two master decks outfitted with a hot tub and outdoor shower. Through working closely with the landscape architect, this rather contemporary home blends into the site to maximize the beauty of the surrounding rural area.

The owners of this beautiful 2-family home in Ridgewood were dissatisfied with the existing enclosed staircase and sought to achieve an open layout with a modern staircase design. To fulfill their vision, a new staircase was meticulously designed, fabricated, and installed, featuring a stunning wood finishing and elegant railing, seamlessly connecting the first floor to the basement and second floor. Additionally, a framed double swing door was skillfully incorporated, providing access to a newly created closet space in the basement. Notably, 2MO's innovative designer devised a creative solution for integrating the existing column in the living room, resulting in a cohesive and harmonious aesthetic. The outcome of this project has left the expanding and youthful family delighted with their modern home transformation.
