This custom pantry is designed as a highly functional extension of the kitchen, offering both dedicated prep space and smart storage solutions. Built to accommodate canning, bulk items, and everyday essentials, it serves as an organized overflow zone that keeps the main kitchen clean and uncluttered.
Thoughtfully designed cabinetry and shelving provide a place for everything—from dry goods to large serving pieces—while dedicated appliance storage keeps mixers and small kitchen tools easily accessible but neatly tucked away when not in use. An additional refrigerator adds convenience for extra groceries, beverages, or prep ingredients, making this space ideal for entertaining and everyday living.
With its efficient layout and seamless connection to the kitchen, this pantry elevates both form and function, acting as a true working space rather than just storage.

What was once a cramped, underperforming mudroom and a rarely used office has been thoughtfully reconfigured into a spacious, hardworking hub for daily life. By removing the wall between the two rooms, we unlocked valuable square footage to create a mudroom that truly supports how the family enters, exits, and organizes their day.
The new layout integrates dedicated drop zones, custom storage, and a fully functional laundry area, all designed with both durability and ease of use in mind. Every detail was considered to bring order to high-traffic moments—whether it’s managing backpacks and shoes or keeping laundry seamlessly incorporated into the home.
The result is a highly functional, intentionally designed space that transforms a once-overlooked area into an essential part of the home’s daily rhythm.

This main floor remodel in Lenexa, Kansas, was the third phase of a full-home transformation for our longtime clients. After previously renovating their basement and primary bathroom, they invited us back to reimagine the heart of their home with fresh perspective and elevated function.
The entryway was completely transformed from a builder-basic pass-through into a bright, welcoming focal point that sets the tone for the entire main floor. In the kitchen, we reworked the layout to improve flow and maximize storage, while introducing timeless finishes and thoughtful details that now carry throughout the home.
The family room was redesigned to feel warm, cohesive, and connected—complete with custom built-ins and a refreshed fireplace. We also converted the former laundry room into a fully functional prep kitchen, and redesigned the mudroom to meet the demands of daily life without compromising style.
This project reflects a balance of beauty, utility, and personal expression, with every space tailored to support how this family lives and gathers in their home.

This spacious entertainer's kitchen is part of a whole house remodel and 2-story addition. Our clients' goal was to create a larger, more functional kitchen with a strong connection to the outdoors. The unique flip up window allows for a complete connection to the outdoor covered space.
No expense was spared in this design as the clients' desire for all natural materials drove the selections. The quartzite island in Opus White provides a textural and colorful element that grounds the space and complements the soapstone perimeter counters. The flip out window is a unique feature that bridges indoor and outdoor, and provides unique entertaining element. The focal point of the kitchen are the large windows looking into their greenspace, in order to preserve the view there were very few upper cabinets planned. To compensate with this direction, the lower cabinets were outfitted with top-of-the line interior accessories to provide the most functional and efficient storage. High-end, Wolf and Sub Zero appliance and the addition of a walk-in pantry completed the wish list!
Steel beams were the solution to creating the large open connection between existing structure and new kitchen addition. We had to incorporate a shallow steel beam spanning the whole width of the kitchen to not impede the existing 8' ceiling height, yet allow for the master bedroom addition directly above the new kitchen addition. In order to bridge interior and exterior spaces, a custom, flip-out window was selected. This sits on the finished counter slab, which extended into the adjacent covered entertaining patio. This allowed no room for error, all the components had to fit together exactly to insure the extended countertop would function as the sill.
The value provided our clients was in helping select high quality materials and install them with exceptional quality. Our team did an outstanding job of keeping our client on track and avoiding costly mistakes. This project was not delivered within the original budget due to several client driven change orders.

This renovation was all about turning frustration into function for a family of four who loved their neighborhood but felt boxed in by their outdated, choppy layout. The kitchen was tired, the rooms felt dark, and nothing quite worked the way they needed it to.
With a clear goal—bring in more light, open up the space, and create a kitchen worthy of a passionate home cook—they trusted our team to reimagine their home from the ground up. They even moved into a rental during construction to give us full access to do the work right (and on schedule).
What We Did:
Opened Up the Main Floor: By engineering the removal of major structural walls (and reinforcing from the basement up), we transformed the layout into one cohesive, flowing space.
Maximized Natural Light: A new family room window turned a once-dark corner into a bright, cozy gathering spot.
Created a Statement Kitchen: Featuring navy lowers, white uppers, and a quartz backsplash that continues seamlessly over a waterfall island—both bold and functional.
Upgraded Flooring & Storage: Wide-plank white oak flooring throughout, with custom millwork in the family room and mudroom for stylish, everyday storage solutions.
The Result?
A main floor that finally supports the way this family lives, entertains, and relaxes. It’s light-filled, beautifully functional, and—most importantly—it feels like home.

Step into a space that seamlessly blends functional organization, relaxation, and a touch of fun. The renovation journey unfolded with a meticulous focus on the home's architecture, the client's design preferences, and the need for a practical yet stylish family environment.
The primary bathroom takes center stage in promoting relaxation, featuring a spa-like ambiance with soothing colors, heated floors, a beautiful soaking tub, and gentle under-counter lighting creating a tranquil atmosphere. A cleverly integrated cabinet space is also available, providing a discreet storage solution for the less aesthetically pleasing litter box while ensuring easy access for our feline friends.
In the kitchen, attention to detail shines through with a stunning wood-trimmed vent hood and wooden pulls that punctuate the Indigo Blue cabinets, introducing natural elements and a touch of warmth. Ample storage was a crucial requirement for this kitchen. Featuring expansive pull-out drawers, a concealed lazy Susan, impressive spice storage, and a discreet power source for the cordless vacuum, every detail has been considered for optimal functionality.
Connected to the kitchen, you'll discover a dining area designed for versatility. This multipurpose zone seamlessly integrates wine storage, pantry space, a dedicated baking center, cocktail preparation area, and a convenient coffee zone.
The main level's powder room pays homage to the homeowners' roots, boasting a vibrant wallpaper by Chasing Paper that adds a playful touch.
The harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality continues with an additional mixed-use space that serves as a delightful getaway, complete with outdoor access and ample countertop space for both utility and enjoyment. This home is a testament to the artful fusion of design, comfort, and entertainment.

Serene Kitchen is a refined kitchen retreat designed to feel airy, calm, and thoughtfully detailed. In this project, Wraith Interior Design transforms what may have been a typical cooking space into a soothing, luminous sanctuary—where functionality and aesthetic harmony live side by side.
The design emphasizes lightness and clarity: soft neutral tones, clean lines, and natural textures bring balance and softness to the space. A careful selection of materials—light woods, subtle stone surfaces, and delicate metallic accents—creates visual interest without overpowering the calm atmosphere. Ample daylight and strategic lighting design further reinforce the sense of openness and serenity.
Functionally, the kitchen is laid out with practicality in mind: efficient work zones, generous counter space, and thoughtful storage solutions keep daily use effortless and uncluttered. Meanwhile, gentle touches—like fluted cabinetry detail, understated hardware, and warm wood elements—add character and softness to the overall composition.
Serene Kitchen is both grounded and elegant: a space you can cook in, live in, and feel at peace in.
