Inspiration for a mid-century modern kitchen remodel in Denver

Our client’s goal was to create a small, high-performance, healthy home for herself and her teenage son while providing a place for her father to age in place. An attached private accessory dwelling provides a space for him as well as flexibility in the future. The new home was designed to minimize its footprint on site, made smaller than the original 1930’s house. Embracing adaptability and efficiency, the residence includes two dwellings: a one-bedroom 795 square-foot accessory dwelling at the lower grade and a two-story 1330 square-foot primary dwelling located above. Involved in all aspects of project execution, our client oversaw the process by living in a used trailer parked in the backyard throughout the project’s construction. Family-Share focused on maximizing the footprint’s performance, access to natural light and the health of the occupants. Sustainable features include high-performance glazing, solar preheat for domestic and hot water in-floor heating and reclaimed fir car decking rainscreen siding.

Walnut and white is a classic combination for a Chelsea apartment! Material contrast and the play of solid and void add depth, interest and functionality to the media and storage walls. Even the radiator cover is designed in walnut, contrasting with sliding white door panels which maximize access to storage.

This transitional kitchen combines naturally finished cherry and baltic birch for a unique transitional style. The cutouts that replace the door pulls form a smooth and functional facade. This kitchen features solid wood banquette seating with a sliding radiator cover underneath for valve access as well as a large freestanding pantry.

Style meets sophisticated function with the Novatto STARKS faucet. Each faucet is constructed using only the best available components including solid brass construction and high pressure ceramic cartridges. Specifically designed to accommodate a vessel sink, this single hole faucet is to be mounted directly on the counter. Inspiration for a large timeless u-shaped medium tone wood floor and brown floor enclosed kitchen remodel in Raleigh with an undermount sink, raised-panel cabinets, white cabinets, quartzite countertops, white backsplash, quartz backsplash, paneled appliances, an island and white countertops

To create a unique kitchen, we take inspiration from the personality of our clients; it’s a collaborative effort to develop the exact look and feel that best suits their lifestyles. The challenge of this kitchen was to re-build the existing kitchen and adjoining full bath, creating a much better flow with plenty of storage for this active family (as they often entertain seaside). The two-toned cabinetry in both white and laguna blue reflected a true beach-feel adorned with a terrific choice of starfish and shell shaped hardware to draw attention to this creative and beautifully transformed seaside kitchen. We remind our clients that in order to be unique, do something unique! And this is nicely demonstrated in both the layout, color scheme and backsplash design details. Our client selected several hand painted decorative ocean creatures for the backsplash, drawing from colors in the room, and this created a truly unique conversation piece! A glint of sparkle from the white quartz countertops brings you closer to the beach in this impressive oceanfront home. From flooring to ceiling, we created a picture perfect beautiful beach house kitchen that is not only functional but provides a relaxed and inviting feel for these seaside owners.
