One of our more unique remodels, this original space was desperately in need of a update. Dark colors and outdated finishes made the kitchen feel closed in and unworkable. After moving some appliances around and creating a classy black and white kitchen modeled after MacKenzie-Childs dishware line, the result was a functional layout with enough character to brighten any day! This is a project where the softness of white Ikea kitchen cabinet doors, in combination with the height of the space, worked beautifully. The increased storage offered by two stacked rows of top cabinets created ample storage and palatial looks. Knowing the difference in shade between Grimslov and Axtad style Ikea kitchen doors, we decided the house style would blend perfectly by choosing a crisp white door like Axtad. The backsplash tile has a slight iridescent pearl hue, soaking the space in subtle iridescent light. We personalized the kitchen with brass handles. The choice of white, modern appliances with copper handles is daring, and we think it looks charming. The build-in double door oven, fridge, dishwasher, and range are GE Cafe.

We are so excited to share our most recent kitchen renovation with you, by one of our designers Vincent Guarino. The kitchen plans were designed with function and form in mind. The kitchen required different levels of architectural support throughout we carefully incorporated/hid posts and beams into the design aesthetic. You will notice one post between the pantry cabinet and refrigerator, an additional beam is hidden across the top behind the crown molding, and another support wall within the shallow depth pantry left of the refrigerator. Aesthetic details include painted maple Ultracraft cabinetry in Arctic White, the counters are a Q-Quartz in Calacatta Trevi, white subway tile, anchored by a gorgeous Herringbone wood floor. All appliances are the GE Café line in white with brass hardware. Additional features include entry-way cabinetry and bench complimented by a wood top, floating Poplar wood shelves in “Seagull”, a custom wood hood, floor to ceiling pantry carried through to the refrigerator, and the full design is finished with decorative paneling and crown molding.

Kitchen - eclectic kitchen idea in Sacramento

This tiny kitchen was barely usable by a busy mom with 3 young kids. We were able to remove two walls and open the kitchen into an unused space of the home and make this the focal point of the home the clients had always dreamed of! Hidden on the back side of this peninsula are 3 cubbies, one for each child to store their backpacks and lunch boxes for school. The fourth cubby contains a charging station for the families electronics.
