Home bar - small contemporary home bar idea in Houston

A small, charming bathroom remodel featuring a wood window in the shower, while maintaining the room’s vintage charm. Within the new design, the original arched detail, replicated in other places in the home, is preserved. Champagne brushed bronze fixtures contrast beautifully against wall tiles in varying shades of green laid vertically offering a handmade feel. Woven wallpaper softens the room’s hard surfaces, and a sculptural alabaster stone ceiling light provides a touch of elegance, transforming the space with function while paying homage to the home’s historic origins. Mid-century was the peak of Palm Springs glamour, and the inspiration behind this room designed by Beth Dotolo and Carolina Gentry. The angular lines of the Seagram® Freestanding Soaking Tub made it a dynamic focal point for their design. Behind it lies the tropical indoor/ outdoor shower, a refreshing expression of desert modernism. Bright whites, bursts of colors and organic patterns are all set off by a few rich hits of quirky fun, setting the tone for a true sense of leisure that’s as timeless today as it was yesterday.

The custom island has a small bookshelf for cookbooks and accessories, like this vintage French metal spice set. Vintage Pottery Barn barstools aren't made anymore, but similar can be found. We dressed up the closet door in the background with Eucalyptus Tree green paint, mouldings, and a brass doorknob set to make an ordinary door look vintage. Persian rug and a vintage Spanish bench add some homey touches. Glass pendants over the island from West Elm.

Just like single family homes, condos are also in constant need of updating in order to keep up with today’s growing real estate market. Baby-boomers and young professionals alike are now more than ever searching for that perfect place to call home but without all of the maintenance and upkeep. With this in mind, our client came to Red House to have her 2-story condo, located in the heart of downtown Providence, remodeled. Originally from Manila, this young doctor wanted a more open feel in her stairwell leading up to the second floor hallway in addition to creating a more contemporary feel in her guest bathroom.
