In this kitchen we installed Waypoint Livingspaces cabinets on the perimeter is 702F doorstyle in Painted Hazelnut Glaze and on the island is 650F doorstyle in Cherry Java accented with Amerock Revitilize pulls and Chandler knobs in oil rubbed bronze. On the countertops is Giallo Ornamental 3cm Granite with a 4” backsplash below the microwave area. On the wall behind the range is 2 x 8 Brickwork tile in Terrace color. Kichler Avery 3 pendant lights were installed over the island. A Blanco single bowl sink in Biscotti color with a Moen Waterhill single handle faucet with the side spray was installed. Three 18” time weathered Faux wood beams in walnut color were installed on the ceiling to accent the kitchen.

The backsplash is 1” x 12” polished brick mosaic in Empire Beige. An LED Monorail system with 8’ rail, 3 pendants, 4 direction heads was hung over the island with a coordinating pendant light over the sink. A Blanco apron front sink in Biscotti color with Moen Arbor pull down faucet and Moen sip beverage faucet in oiled rubbed bronze was installed.

Kitchen features a new layout with large custom granite island with prep sink, black Quartz perimeter countertops, mosaic tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances. The travertine tile picture frame behind the gas range helps break up the mosaic backsplash with a black liner. The large stainless steel drop hood adds drama to the beautiful space. Drop pendant lighting hangs over main sink. The maple cabinets have a shaker style door with stainless steel handles. The rain glass in the upper cabinets to the left helps open up the space even more.

Mike and Stacy moved to the country to be around the rolling landscape and feed the birds outside their Hampshire country home. After living in the home for over ten years, they knew exactly what they wanted to renovate their 1980’s two story once their children moved out. It all started with the desire to open up the floor plan, eliminating constricting walls around the dining room and the eating area that they didn’t plan to use once they had access to what used to be a formal dining room. They wanted to enhance the already warm country feel their home already had, with some warm hickory cabinets and casual granite counter tops. When removing the pantry and closet between the kitchen and the laundry room, the new design now just flows from the kitchen directly into the smartly appointed laundry area and adjacent powder room. The new eat in kitchen bar is frequented by guests and grand-children, and the original dining table area can be accessed on a daily basis in the new open space. One instant sensation experienced by anyone entering the front door is the bright light that now transpires from the front of the house clear through the back; making the entire first floor feel free flowing and inviting. This kitchen was refaced with raised center panel doors in maple. The cabinets were extended to the ceiling, bringing much more storage and a beautiful built-in look. Crown molding and a matching wooden valence add simple but elegant decoration, and undercabinet lights improve daily use.

The kitchen was opened up into what is now the dining room for maximum space. Where their dining table used to be the clients opted for a large square island. They accented the medium dark maple cabinets with a black island, vent hood and molding. The kitchen has beautiful decorative backsplash and updated recessed lighting in the vaulted ceiling.

The kitchen was a full remodel which incorporated all new high-end appliances like a 48” Sub Zero refrigerator and Thermador cooktop and ovens. Bead board was added to the ceiling and a heavy crown molding adds detail to the transitional kitchen. The cabinets are painted Swiss coffee by Benjamin Moore, which contrast against the brown granite and creamy subway tile backsplash. A custom mosaic is the centerpiece of the kitchen, adding an organic element. The refrigerator and dishwasher are paneled to help conceal the appliances. A wine fridge was incorporated into the peninsula. Pendants add extra light to peninsula where there is bar stools for extra seating. Photography by: Erika Bierman
