The homes exterior brick was changed from it's original red/yellow brick and painted it a light beige grey color. I added board and batten shutters and new exterior lighting. I extended the front porch out by an additional 4 feet making it a true sitting porch. A new rock border along the pathway leads you to the front door. and new planter boxes were added underneath the windows.

This 3200 square foot home features a maintenance free exterior of LP Smartside, corrugated aluminum roofing, and native prairie landscaping. The design of the structure is intended to mimic the architectural lines of classic farm buildings. The outdoor living areas are as important to this home as the interior spaces; covered and exposed porches, field stone patios and an enclosed screen porch all offer expansive views of the surrounding meadow and tree line. The home’s interior combines rustic timbers and soaring spaces which would have traditionally been reserved for the barn and outbuildings, with classic finishes customarily found in the family homestead. Walls of windows and cathedral ceilings invite the outdoors in. Locally sourced reclaimed posts and beams, wide plank white oak flooring and a Door County fieldstone fireplace juxtapose with classic white cabinetry and millwork, tongue and groove wainscoting and a color palate of softened paint hues, tiles and fabrics to create a completely unique Door County homestead. Inspiration for a country kitchen remodel in Philadelphia

Our beautiful formal front powder room only needed a little bit of paint to bring it up to date. The vanity had a green and pink decorative motif with antique bronze hardware. Some silver leaf brings it back to life. We added wainscoting to the lower walls and added a shimmery trellis faux paint to the upper walls. The tray ceiling was painted a soft sky blue. Our London shade in a lovely floral completes the garden them of the space. Marco Ricca

This house has a combination of classic colors. Deep Forest Green to highlight the panel shutters. A cream tone to blend with the brick body of the house on window surrounds, columns and trim. And a gloss black entry door to highlight the entrance. This was all done by Hester Painting & Decorating

This southern cottage has a french country appeal with white painted brick, an arched entry, exposed brick trim, and brick paved patio areas. The large windows and screened in porches add a touch of southern charm. It was skillfully built by Chris Achee of Achee Builders and designed by Bob Chatham Custom Home Design.

The formal living area in this Brooklyn brownstone once had an awful marble fireplace surround that didn't properly reflect the home's provenance. Sheetrock was peeled back to reveal the exposed brick chimney, we sourced a new mantel with dental molding from architectural salvage, and completed the surround with green marble tiles in an offset pattern. The chairs are Mid-Century Modern style and the love seat is custom-made in gray leather. Custom bookshelves and lower storage cabinets were also installed, overseen by antiqued-brass picture lights.

Inspiration for a large timeless guest carpeted and green floor bedroom remodel in Boston with blue walls

This beautiful French Provincial home is set on 10 acres, nestled perfectly in the oak trees. The original home was built in 1974 and had two large additions added; a great room in 1990 and a main floor master suite in 2001. This was my dream project: a full gut renovation of the entire 4,300 square foot home! I contracted the project myself, and we finished the interior remodel in just six months. The exterior received complete attention as well. The 1970s mottled brown brick went white to completely transform the look from dated to classic French. Inside, walls were removed and doorways widened to create an open floor plan that functions so well for everyday living as well as entertaining. The white walls and white trim make everything new, fresh and bright. It is so rewarding to see something old transformed into something new, more beautiful and more functional.

Color was added to a custom kitchen to help pull the feel of the rest of the house into the cooking area. We cladl the hood in copper and had the island and hood painted green and added pendant lighting. Our clients are art collectors and these two pieces in the background bring a happy note as well.
