Elevated Elegance with a View!
Perched on a hillside, this modern masterpiece overlooks a breathtaking panorama of a serene lake and majestic mountains. This home is a harmonious blend of luxury and natural beauty.
At first glance, you're greeted by the striking glass garage gates, a nod to modern aesthetics. A custom stone driveway ushers you up to the entrance, where contemporary meets classic in a perfect fusion.
The home's three distinct styles seamlessly intertwine, creating a one-of-a-kind architectural marvel. This is more than a home; it's a canvas of elegance and a front-row seat to the wonder of nature.

Display your delight for all things autumn when you greet guests (and goblins) with the everlasting Hemsley Harvest wreath, door swag, urn filler and garland. Each piece overflows with vibrant and lifelike blooms, leaves, berries, pumpkins, and natural twigs, assembled on a grapevine base, so you can enjoy it for seasons to come. Add the asymmetrical wreath or classic swag to your door, fill your harvest-crowned urn with bundles of tall twigs or pumpkins (not included) and festoon doorways and bannisters with the garland; you'll have a bountiful arrangement that your guests and neighbors will remember for years to come.

This 6,399-square-foot house in Boca Raton belongs to two surgeons who love to travel. And it needed a facelift in order to truly feel like a home that reflected their tastes, lifestyle and shared memories. So Laure Nell Interiors came on board to remodel and modernize their kitchen and dining room, create a dedicated office nook, and design an inviting mudroom clad in encaustic ceramic tile that greets the owners when they come home after a busy day at work.
The owners wanted a streamlined, European-inspired kitchen with Scandinavian, minimalist details where the stone-wrapped hood would be the hero. But it would also need to function for the wife who likes to bake often with their younger daughter. We created an integrated bar to house the owners’ beloved collection of Barollo wines from Italy, and custom shelving that displays their Murano glass pieces along with ceramics that were also brought back from Europe.
A creamy palette of white quartz with minimal veining provided a canvas for custom sandy-hued cabinetry—each door panel hand painted in a custom finish that preserves the natural variations of the wood. Taupe dining chairs harmonize with the color scheme, contrasted with pops of caramel from Demvel’s custom leather cabinet handles and leather seat in the mudroom, and barstools from Design Within Reach. Now the owners and their family can continue their Nordic adventures even when they’re still at home. Photography by Jack Cook

This beautiful transitional home was designed by our client with one of our partner design firms, Covert + Associates Residential Design. Our client’s purchased this one-acre lot and hired Thoroughbred Custom Homes to build their high-performance custom home. The design incorporated a “U” shaped home to provide an area for their future pool and a porte-cochere with a five-car garage. The stunning white brick is accented by black Andersen composite windows, custom double iron entry doors and black trim. All the patios and the porte-cochere feature tongue and grove pine ceilings with recessed LED lighting. Upon entering the home through the custom doors, guests are greeted by 24’ wide by 10’ tall glass sliding doors and custom “X” pattern ceiling designs. The living area also features a 60” linear Montigo fireplace with a custom black concrete façade that matches vent hood in the kitchen. The kitchen features full overlay cabinets, quartzite countertops, and Monogram appliances with a Café black and gold 48” range. The master suite features a large bedroom with a unique corner window setup and private patio. The master bathroom is a showstopper with an 11’ wide ‘wet room’ including dual shower heads, a rain head, a handheld, and a freestanding tub. The semi-frameless Starphire, low iron, glass shows off the floor to ceiling marble and two-tone black and gold Kohler fixtures. There are just too many unique features to list!

Our clients wanted a “Colorado” lodge vibe… you know, the feeling of being in the mountains with a flowing stream… So, that’s what we gave them.
When entering the property, you are greeted by a peaceful flowing stream located along the front of the home, and a wooden foot bridge leading to the front door – now that’s curb appeal! Surrounding the rock-lined stream are beds of native plants, grasses, shrub roses for color and seasonal evergreens. The backyard displays a multi-level paver patio, enclosed with a natural stone retaining wall and steps that travel up to the outdoor kitchen, which is set into the home’s fireplace. Also residing in the backyard is a natural stone pool deck, creating a more informal setting.

The new hostess station in the Grill Room was positioned to greet guests upon their arrival while ensuring privacy for nearby guests. The soft taupe color wash on the walls adds depth and interest.

Modern Tudor on the Prairie
Our clients fell in love with the wide-open spaces of the White Oaks Savanna development. They dreamed of a home that celebrated the beauty of Minnesota’s ever-changing landscape and blurred the line between indoor and outdoor. They wanted a home with a traditional exterior, impressive entry, and modern interiors.
The large site provides spectacular views of the restored prairie landscape. All four sides of this home are refined and architecturally resolved since each elevation is highly visible in the open prairie setting. Properly locating the home on the site was critical to maintaining the stunning prairie views. The home is nestled behind a hill instead of sitting on top of it, so it is blocked from the neighbors and respects their views.
Natural materials adorn the exterior, including cedar, stone, stucco, and copper, that act as “jewelry” for the home. The cedar and copper will patina with time, adding richness and texture to the home.
Front Door:
The custom front door is 4 feet wide by 8 feet tall. It is paired with a matching fixed panel, so the door appears to be 8 feet wide from the outside, and is painted a cheery bright blue to greet visitors. The intentional placement of color adds vibrancy throughout the home in contrast to the quiet exterior colors. The bold pops of color requested by the client continue on the interior of the home, including a turquoise dining room, magenta closet doors, and a deep blue basement.
Lantern Staircase:
A triple-height stair floating in front of 18-foot-high windows welcomes visitors. At night, a hidden, remote controlled retractable shade scrim (lightweight shade) limits light pollution to follow the Dark Skies Initiative.
Great Room:
Cased openings of white oak create transition spaces and frame views to and from the grand, two-story great room. The entry and dining room have cozy 8-foot ceilings and are perched 12” up from the great room for views over the living room furniture. To avoid dining chairs sliding over the steps, a custom built-in credenza sits on the steps behind the dining table.
Folding Outswing Door:
The 20’ wide by 9.5’ tall folding outswing door blurs the line between outside and inside. A hidden bi-parting retractable bug screen allows the large door to remain open throughout the day to bring in fresh air.
Catwalk:
A catwalk, or raised walkway, on the upper floor overlooks the great room and leads to the guest suites. A long bench with built-in linen storage is tucked into a niche with clerestory windows, providing a cozy spot for guests to relax. Guest laundry is tucked into the backside of the fireplace chimney.
Owner's Suite:
From the start, the owners wanted their bedroom perched on the second level to maximize views of the prairie beyond. Located in its own wing of the home, the owners’ suite offers privacy. Magenta closet doors guide the owners into the bedroom and adjacent bathroom.
Lifestyle:
The home incorporates numerous lifestyle features that are as much a part of the house as the main spaces. A sauna is located on the main level, allowing for easy access after a dip in the pool and a wine cellar is tucked neatly under the staircase for convenient and beautiful display.

Located in Dove Canyon, this home has been on our list of projects many times over the last 9 years—with the large Kitchen remodel being the most recent. As you step into this this beauty, you’re greeted with lots of natural light from the large windows, installed in 3 phases since 2011. A spectacular kitchen with everything you need: Thermador stainless steel appliances, quartz counters, range/oven combo with warming lights, wall oven and microwave, built-in refrigerator, built-in bench seating for kitchen table, new lighting, and plenty of storage. The kitchen opens to the family room with a gas fireplace (complete w/ new fireplace hearth) that looks out to views of the Saddleback Mountains.

Stepping inside, one is greeted by an traditional floor plan that maximizes natural light and showcases lake sunsets. The interior is thoughtfully designed to cater to both relaxation and entertaining, with expansive living spaces, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and luxurious finishes throughout. The goal of the design was to make it feel like the home has existed for 50 years.
