Yet another view of the living room. This view allows you to see how large the rug is. Our guys did a great job of piecing the rug together. You have got to flip the rug to find the seams.

I started my search for a contractor about a year before I hired Paul to do a kitchen and bathroom renovation. This was my first time at the bat, and I really had no idea what to expect. I had many contractor proposals that swung wildly in price but for some reason I never felt inclined to hire any of the guys I met with. I happened to be looking at Houzz one day and came across Paul’s company and he had very good reviews. I gave him a call and he came to my apartment quickly. I liked him immediately when we met. I thought it was strange that he asked me for my budget and how much I wanted to spend but in hindsight, providing that information allowed Paul to come back to me with a very detailed proposal based on my budget. I soon realized that the lower proposals I had did not include many of the budget items that would be necessary to complete the job. Paul laid out the pricing and provided a very reasonable “allowance” based on your measurements for tile, toilet, sinks, etc. It is up to you to stay within that allowance.
Another reason I hired Paul was because of his design skills. Paul met me in the at tile stores several times and helped guide me in choosing tile and a style for the bathroom that really looks beautiful. I fought him a little but in the end, was glad I went with his recommendations. He also uses a kitchen cabinet maker so all the cabinets are custom to what you want. Paul also has a great customer website that allows you to see all the expenses, make choices, and easily communicate with him.
If you are planning to do a renovation, I think it helps to plan for the worst and hope for the best. I live in a co-op and we had a couple of little glitches and Paul was always quick to resolve issues as they arose. He was extremely responsive and really cared about the work and doing a good job. I would definitely hire Paul again if I needed a contractor.

As we start to notice the vibrant colors of spring beginning to peek through last week’s snowstorm, it’s the perfect time to unveil one of our recent primary bath renovations. Led by Project Manager, Steve Shanholtz, and Designers, Justina Auer and Sarah Domery, this project was a collaborative effort from start to finish. Our clients came to us with their flooring tile already selected, serving as the catalyst for our creative vision. It’s hard to find the centerpiece of this space, as so many aspects of the room elicit a “Wow!” reaction. With a palette of lush greens and crisp whites, this renovation is a testament to the beauty of renewal and rejuvenation. The Cambria Clifton countertop seamlessly carries the essence of green throughout the space with tiny pops of a bold black hardware adding to the sophistication of this modern bath – a striking choice against the pristine white cabinetry. Practicality meets elegance in the shower with the use of Onyx walls, chosen for their easy maintenance without compromising on style. A thoughtful rearrangement of the sink allowed for the addition of a linen cabinet, providing ample storage for towels and bath essentials. We are so proud of the impeccable work by our guys in the field, especially our lead carpenter on this project, Brian Halme. As we usher in the season of renewal, there’s no better time to breathe new life into your home. Give us a call so we can transform your space into a sanctuary of style and comfort!

This new multi-million dollar 14,000-square-foot home, known as Abalone Cove, perched on a cliff overlooking the Big Sur coast was built with 12,000 square feet of natural stone supplied by Graniterock. We also supplied all of the concrete, plaster and landscaping stone.
The project called for 100 tons of flagstone and 120 stair treads that were 5 feet wide, 12 feet long and 8 inches thick, which were carefully placed with a crane.

This wide angle view shows the complete coffered grid layout of Hand Hewn Timbers across a full transitional living room, giving a clear sense of how the beam pattern scales to the space. The naturally silvered gray patina of these old growth hardwoods integrates seamlessly with the white ceiling, neutral walls, and contemporary furnishings without overpowering any of them.
Whether you are a homebuilder, a home remodeling contractor, or a homeowner trying to visualize how reclaimed wood ceiling beams will feel in a living room or great room, this install shows exactly what is possible. Manomin Resawn Timbers has been helping people discover the antique charm of reclaimed wood since 2002. We serve homebuilders, contractors, and designers across the country. This curved window sunroom we made for our client David E. in Downtown Los Angeles, California was our most challenging and proudest project yet. We had to perfectly design a never-before-attempted template to remove the ugly grids his older, aluminum window frames had made. His majestic view of Los Angeles was replaced by 16 ugly aluminum windows which were deteriorating right before his eyes. His exact comments were, "Thank you for reminding me why I moved in here and purchased this home in the first place. You guys gave me my view back." We could not be happier.

The homeowners hated the pale yellow color and called us to make it look great. Mission Accomplished! Even the neighbors were stopping by and complementing my guys on the amazing work!
