The ventilation system prevents smoke from going to other areas of the house and is functional for the client's love of cigars. The new space has plenty of storage and display area, with custom open shelving, lockable drawers, and a hidden beverage cooler paneled to look balanced with the other cabinets. The monochrome navy color scheme brings a masculine feeling, while not compromising the soft textures of the rug and seating.

They noted that the homeowner wanted a contemporary, ultra cool place to hang out with friends. Following the renovation, this basement boasts a huge media room for gaming, sports and entertaining. They added a games room complete with a custom bar, a huge flat screen TV, pool table and foosball game. The basement also hosts a separate entrance. Additionally, the whole space can be controlled from your smartphone, with blackout blinds, the complete cutting-edge a/v system, lighting and fireplace, all with the touch of a button. Finally, everything is concealed, with custom a/v locations and hidden storage compartments built right into the feature wall.

This house overlooking the Burrard inlet in Port Moody was re-created for homeowners who wished to stay for their love of the Cliffside location. The space is full of intrigue and inspiration for its artistic owners, with yet another piece of oceanic whimsy around each turn.
