Our Boulder studio believes in designing homes that are in harmony with the surrounding nature, and this gorgeous home is a shining example of our holistic design philosophy. In each room, we used beautiful tones of wood, neutrals, and earthy colors to sync with the natural colors outside. Soft furnishings and elegant decor lend a luxe element to the space. We also added a mini table tennis table for recreation. A large fireplace, thoughtfully placed mirrors and artworks, and well-planned lighting designs create a harmonious vibe in this stunning home.

Taking our cue from the beautiful, wooded-view, we transformed this corner-office into a peaceful, professional retreat. Being the office of Carrie, the owner and founder of Cedar, we wanted it to feel substantial. We achieved this with the quality pieces that we selected - everything from the Mid-Century Modern console tables to the gray, linen sofa.

This Jersey City, NJ space was the first permanent ‘home’ for the yoga studio, so it was essential for us to listen well and design a space to serve their needs for years to come. Through our design process, we helped to guide the owners through the fit-out of their new studio location that required minimal demolition and disruption to the existing space. Together, we converted a space originally used as a preschool into a welcoming, spacious yoga studio for local yogis. We created one main yoga studio by combining four small classrooms into a single larger space with new walls, while all the other program spaces (including designated areas for holistic treatments, massage, and bodywork) were accommodated into pre-existing rooms. Our team completed all demo, sheetrock, electrical, and painting aspects of the project. (The studio owners did some of the work themselves, and a different company installed the flooring and carpets.) The results speak for themselves: a peaceful, restorative space to facilitate health and healing for the studio’s community. Looking to renovate your place of business? This meditation studio lobby is designed to captivate the mind and heart from the moment you step through the doors. This enchanting space features a mesmerizing golden ombre painted wall adorned with numerous flickering LED candles, a large reclaimed wooden desk, and ambient music, creating a welcoming and immersive experience. Our team of visionary designers has meticulously crafted this meditation studio lobby to be a haven of tranquility and serenity. With every detail carefully considered, we aimed to create an environment that instantly transports you to a state of relaxation and mindfulness, setting the tone for your wellness journey. As you enter the lobby, your eyes are immediately drawn to the magnificent golden ombre painted wall. The gradient of golden hues, carefully applied, creates a mesmerizing visual effect that symbolizes transformation and renewal. Adorning this radiant wall are numerous flickering LED candles, casting a warm and gentle glow throughout the space, enhancing the sense of tranquility and creating an inviting ambiance. In the center of the lobby, a large reclaimed wooden desk stands as a focal point, exuding rustic charm and natural beauty. This sturdy desk serves as a welcoming point of contact for guests, where they can receive a warm greeting and any necessary information. The reclaimed wood not only adds visual interest but also promotes a connection to nature and sustainability, aligning with the principles of well-being and holistic living. To further enhance the sensory experience, soft ambient music fills the air, creating a soothing atmosphere that instantly calms the mind and eases tension. The carefully curated playlist features gentle melodies and peaceful sounds, promoting relaxation and a sense of inner harmony. Waiting Area for Cedar Counseling & Wellness in Annapolis, MD. Walking into waiting area 01, we wanted clients to feel safe and secure, while with waiting area 02, we wanted something a bit more bright, and open. Being a multi-use space: waiting area, yoga studio, kitchen, walk way, etc., the design needed to serve a multitude of purposes. As is the case, we created a seating arrangement that provides plenty of walkability (to the counselor’s offices) while still having the ability to be ability to be reconfigured, if needed.

So I know I said that Office 01 was one of my favorite offices at Cedar Counseling & Wellness, but Office 07 IS hands-down my favorite. Moody, modern and masculine… I definitely wouldn’t mind working here every day! When it came to the design, Carrie really invested in professional, quality pieces - and you can tell. This bright and airy porch lets summer's breezes blow through, but also has glass panes to fend off fall's chills. 4 large skylights brighten up the porch as well as the main house beyond. Colorful blue metal roofing provides shelter from the elements. Stained fir gives the ceiling a friendly feel above the cool porcelain tile flooring. Three fans help circulate the air during MD's "dog days" of summer. Speaking of dogs..., the owners lovable dogs have two pet doors allowing them to freely frolic about!

In coming up with the design for office 02, our inspiration largely came from the piece of art above the sofa, selected by our client Carrie. A mixture of greens and blues, we continued this color scheme throughout the rest of the room, as seen in the area rug, throw pillows, decor, etc.
