Nor had I really thought about the hassle of an out of state remodel. Believing that I was up for the challenge, I grabbed my water wings, sketchpad, and measuring tape and jumped right in! New year, new goals! ?️ Has anyone else ever written up a long list of new year resolutions, only for the year end to roll around and you haven't crossed anything off? Been there, done that. Jump start your life in 2023 by tackling your biggest projects in full force (and yes that includes finally remodeling your kitchen)! The biggest hurdle is getting started. Once you do that, we’ll handle the rest!

During this project we were tasked with adding a spark of character to the traditional white kitchen. By adding in dark touches of oak in the hood and kitchen island, our team was able to modernize a classic look. However, keeping the room bright and airy without natural light was an additional hurdle. Placing glass pendants above the island as well as including under-cabinetry lighting helped illuminate the space.

This almighty Oak staircase was one of our more challenging ones to build and install but we pulled it off! The first hurdle was installing the treads (from the top) onto the central post which was difficult with the extremely heavy 4″ thick solid Oak treads. The staircase was finished off with our custom designed steel hand railing which required a large amount of onsite welding. We stuck with a minimalistic design which included grip tread at the top and a solid looking balustrade. One of the staircases is U-shaped, two of the stairs are L-shaped and one is a straight staircase. One of the biggest obstacles was accessing the space, so we had to roll everything around on flat ground and lift up with a spider crane. This meant we worked closely alongside the builders onsite to tackle any hurdles.

The only significant hurdle was some additional structural work required in the basement to support the new office space. Our experienced team handled this efficiently, minimizing any disruption.
