The interior upgrade of the house pursued three main goals: First, to maximize its spaciousness and the flow of light and air between rooms and zones; second, to update the house’s flow and function with the addition of an en-suite bathroom on the second floor and completely re-configured kitchen; and third, to upgrade the systems and structural stability of the house by replacing and enlarging its basement and adding energy-efficient HVAC systems, in-floor heating, and enhanced ventilation. Bunn & Sons Custom BuildersWhen a Broomfield family approached Bunn & Sons about finishing their basement we were all ears, but this turned out to be more than the typical basement finish job.
The goal was to completely transform 1600 square feet of unfinished basement space into a fully functional, separate living area for the occupants. We worked with the clients to design and build the space which includes a full kitchen, master suite with bathroom, walk in closet, laundry room, living room, storage, and even it’s own HVAC system so conditions can be controlled independently from the upper levels.
The finished product turned out fantastic, thanks to the hard work of our entire team. We’re also excited that we got another multi-generational family living together (peacefully!) under one roof! We love a happy ending like this one!

Contact sensors on the windows and door work with the home weather station to determine if windows/doors need to be closed when raining; not to mention the primary use with the security system to detect unwanted intruders.

Hammer & HandThe focus of this home remodeling project was to make a Skyline home more comfortable and functional for a large family of six. Designed by Circulation Architecture and built by Hammer & Hand, this project included a kitchen remodel, new custom-built dog house, and updates to the home’s HVAC systems.
The team transformed the dark, earth-toned kitchen into a bright, light-filled space for the family to spend time in. New tile, countertops, and paint gave the kitchen a new look while built-ins and adjustments to the area around the stove range added more functionality.
H&H also replaced the 20-year-old heating and cooling systems throughout the large home and added an HRV to improve the ventilation and neutralize the house.
