This South Shore of Boston couple reached out to Renovisions to design and build a beautiful, maintenance free and easy to use ‘his and hers’ master bathroom with plenty of storage. The former bath which had a single sink, one mirror, a vanity cabinet with not enough storage and a tired fiberglass shower stall was the last room in their home to be remodeled. They envisioned a more spa-like feel with a brighter walk-in shower and stylish cabinetry with double sinks and more storage. Renovisions re-designed this bath with a fresh approach to a classic style; boasting two sinks and framed mirrors that match the custom oak cabinetry with a grey stain and cherused finish (a process that allows raising of the wood grain, creating a beautiful texture). Choosing a white and grey palette with Carrara-look tiles in the shower opened up the space, tied in nicely with the weathered grey vanity and exemplified the feeling of casual luxury. The bright and airy walk-in shower with double recessed niches and dual shower heads affords both his and hers showering needs. Stunning and dramatic chevron patterned mosaic glass tile defines the niche spaces and lends a pretty, decorative touch to the overall look. The soft blue-green hue on the walls match perfectly with this tile and continue the serene and spa-like appeal throughout the bath. Replacing the existing double-hung window with a smaller, decorative cut glass casement window not only provided a stunning focal point to the bathroom, but also allowed for additional cabinetry that includes a pull-out hamper and two deep drawers. Silestone’s stunning ‘white diamond’ quartz looks great with the color scheme and provides more countertop space for make-up and cosmetics. Well curated collection of unique coastal natural elements embraced this remodeled bungalow home in the heart of St. Petersburg. Such unpretentious pieces warmed up the opulent white walls and added a casual coastal vibe. The light color palette imparting a breezy tropical evokes the sea and sky. Graphic print wallpapers have enhanced the white and wood palette that added personality and dimension to each bathroom. Thanks to the inviting atmosphere and crisp, contemporary aesthetic this coastal bungalow captures the essence of casual elegance.

I chose lighting fixtures that created patterns that mimic the way the sun causes light to reflect off the lake. I wanted the furniture to impart a real sense of sophisticated warmth and style, without compromising function. I pulled together cottage contemporary mélange with mid-century modern and refinished carefully selected family vintage pieces. The home has an elegantly casual feel that’s eclectic, as if it has been assembled over a long period of life experiences.

Every detail of this European villa-style home exudes a uniquely finished feel. Our design goals were to invoke a sense of travel while simultaneously cultivating a homely and inviting ambience. This project reflects our commitment to crafting spaces seamlessly blending luxury with functionality. The kitchen was transformed with subtle adjustments to evoke a Parisian café atmosphere. A charred wood plank wall defines the drought-tolerant garden of a Ventura, CA bungalow. We used the ancient Japanese method of shou-sugi-ban, which rendered the reclaimed cedar (traditionally Japanese cypress) fire, rot and pest resistant while imparting a striking black, slightly iridescent finish that’s both modern and low maintenance. images | Gretchen Claire Garnett

The Rustico collection was inspired by old Tuscan furniture and incorporates contemporary lines and harkens to a time gone by when sturdy oak furniture was hand-hewn and lasted a lifetime. This collection showcases our new brushed finish technique, which was inspired by the natural drift process resulting from years of use. The brushed finishing process, called 'decape', opens the pores of the oak allowing us to deposit a white patina in its grooves, imparting a mild 'weathered' look. This unisex collection is accented by an open mortise & tenon detail and is offered in three new finishes - owl, mink, and sugar cane, as well as our classic white. The Rustico "5-in-1" Convertible Crib is highlighted by chunky top moldings with an open mortise & tenon detail, an elegantly framed back panel and one-piece corner posts. It offers long term value with five configurations: crib, toddler bed, daybed, double bed headboard and complete double bed. For a softer, elegant look you can chose the Rustico "5-in-1" Convertible with the Upholstered Headboard Panel. The headboard panel features three upholstered inserts which are available in our sturdy 100,000 double rub tested fabric of either fog linen weave or talc linen weave. This 100% solid oak collection has a refined simplicity which easily meshes with both contemporary and classic decor and is sure to provide many years of functionality and enjoyment.

The short side is hemmed for a true handmade look. In neutral colors of teal blue and cream. Made of 100% polypropylene yarns for a soft feel and natural stain resistance. Our bedroom for the 2020 Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens, designed for a teenage girl, plays with the dichotomy of what it means to be feminine today. Drawing inspiration from an androgynous fashion editorial photograph that depicts the interplay between feminine and masculine sensibilities, we balance soft, luxuriant fabrics with militant tassel adornments from an officer’s epaulet. Quiet, blush suede juxtaposes the slender, yet powerful snake carved into the arms of our wood lounge chairs. The etageres are bold and geometric, a delicate spider’s web of metal that imparts the extraordinary and often unexpected strength of a female. The ceiling is a fanciful and swirling custom plaster mural that hovers above an organized composition of ivory and black stripes, evoking unyielding military precision.

Step into the heart of luxury and functionality with this custom-built kitchen that seamlessly blends classic design elements with modern conveniences. The upper cabinets showcase a timeless V Shaker door style, adorned with pristine white-painted doors that exude elegance and create a bright, airy atmosphere. Complementing this, the base cabinets feature solid maple wood doors with the same V Shaker door style, adding warmth and sophistication to the overall aesthetic. One of the standout features of this kitchen is the pantry side, where a live-edge countertop takes center stage, introducing a touch of rustic charm and natural beauty. Above the stove, a convenient pot filler is installed, providing an efficient way to fill pots directly on the cooking surface. The apron sink, paired with a stylish gold faucet, becomes a focal point, adding a touch of opulence and personality to the kitchen space. To complete the ensemble, all handles and knobs are elegantly finished in black, creating a striking contrast against the white cabinetry and countertops. This meticulous attention to detail not only enhances the visual appeal of the kitchen but also ensures a cohesive and sophisticated design. In this custom-built kitchen, every element has been carefully chosen and thoughtfully integrated to create a space that effortlessly combines style and functionality, making it the perfect hub for culinary delights and social gatherings alike.

Together we created a warm, family friendly home that is an eclectic mix of styles - while imparting strong classic overtones. We built a collection of good pieces that they can take with them from home to home as their family grows.

At the house, the path bridges the Wet Rock and pool. Plant life luxuriates by the wet ‘seep’. A deep return to the paving edge imparts weight. A pocket view through the house leads the eye to mountain views.

Cove House is a contemporary shoreline sanctuary in the lake region of New Hampshire. The wooded property, which includes several accessory outbuildings and an existing guest cottage, makes up a private micro-cove. The new modern house and existing traditional cottage turn both toward the lake and to each other. Thoughtful siting and landscape architecture establish a connective flow between the two residences, with a notched stone courtyard in the house inviting visitors to go back and forth. Inspired by the craftsmanship of an antique mahogany powerboat, Cove House pursues architectural quality and beauty at the highest level. The design uses materiality, texture, and daylight to balance livability and artistry. The main entrance leads through a slot-canyon-like hall where a sequence of monumental granite walls reveals a glorious, light-filled living room. A steel moment frame spanning two levels imparts unobstructed panoramic views of the lake. The magnetism of the New Hampshire waterfront is equalized by a coordinated series of openings, which attune daylight throughout the interior. Large sliding glass doors and windows draw light through the courtyard and into the home’s core – a bright and lofty kitchen. Below the kitchen, a walkout patio illuminates a refined wine-tasting room­­. Near the front entry, a gracious granite and steel stair delivers daylight to each level though open risers and glass balustrades.
