This 44' long water feature blends into the woodland setting of this large back yard by starting in the Redwood grove outside the client's bedroom deck, meandering by a fire pit sitting area, and ending in front of their dining patio. It has become the main feature of the yard as it can be heard and seen throughout. It is subtle, yet central. There are three falls and a place to cross from the deck to the fire pit. The water recirculates and is stored in a reservoir underground, eliminating evaporation, algae, and bug issues. The grade of the yard needed to be raised near the Redwood grove to increase the slope of the stream.

This boundary-free, walk in shower features a wet room concept with freestanding pedestal tub and an open air entry. Pebble mosaic tile flooring accents provides warmth against the white shiplap and subway tile backdrop. A clean integration of the materials with subtle contrast and soft colors provides a feeling of ultimate relaxation.

The kitchen was transformed with new gray semi-custom cabinetry in a Pendleton door style, and Fresh Concrete Caesarstone Quartz, the latest interpretation of crisp white concrete delicately touched by subtle grays that create warmth and organic energy. The large 12” x 24” Daltile backsplash was chosen to create a subtle yet bold statement and a cohesive look to the space. A new large island with seating for four helped to define the kitchen while adding valuable food prep space and increased storage capacity. Black hardware, modern fixtures, and geometric metal pendants added contemporary elegance to the space, and the MSI luxury vinyl plank flooring tied the whole room together.

For this kitchen makeover in Floral Park, NY we chose Calacatta Arno marble-look quartz countertops. Calacatta Arno Quartz is a beautiful, engineered stone option, with a warm white base perfect to fit in any kitchen. The interest in this warm, soft base is increased by thin gray veining and lovely, subtle gold accents. The gold details in the stone we enhanced further by pairing the elegant quartz with brass fixtures and soft, linen-colored cabinets.

OAK & ALABASTER Veined stone, natural oak and open shelves bathed in daylight. DESIGN DESCRIPTION Sunlight pours into this condo kitchen, where soft white surfaces and honey-toned oak create a warm, welcoming balance. Floor-to-ceiling slabs of veined stone form a dramatic backdrop, layered with chunky white oak floating shelves for everyday dishes and favourite pieces. A dark metal-clad hood adds a strong architectural accent. The waterfall island hides warm oak-fronted storage on its living-room side, with hexagonal counter stools tucked beneath a row of glass teardrop pendants. Fully integrated cabinetry keeps the lines clean, and a white gooseneck faucet blends into the palette. Nearby, a round stone-topped table and curved cream chairs make an inviting spot for casual meals. Fresh, warm and thoughtfully planned, it is a kitchen made for both cooking and gathering.

Looking for a nice clean crown molding, but what something different? These homeowners did just that with a simple clean flat molding applied to the wall and ceiling to create this look.

A dilapidated addition at the rear of this Glebe home was removed and replaced. The floor area was increased which made it possible to substantially increase the size of the kitchen while improving the visual connection to the quiet park and pond adjacent to the property. The room exudes a calm elegance; subtle paint colours and white oak flooring create a tranquil atmosphere, while trim and plaster mouldings are used to highlight and define openings. Two doorways link the kitchen to the formal dining room – making entertaining and hosting dinner parties a dream. Traditional and antique fixtures and furnishings such as the armoire, the table and chairs in the breakfast nook, glass-fronted cabinetry, and European style windows all enhance the old world charm of the house. The kitchen features a bay window and sitting area which has picturesque views of the park. A French door gives direct access to the back terrace. A sleek black and stainless faucet and dramatic chandelier create contrast in the all-white kitchen. Our client desired a functional, tasteful, and improved environment to compliment their home. The overall goal was to create a landscape that was subtle and not overdone. The client was highly focused on their deck environment that would span across the rear of the house with an area for a Jacuzzi as well. A portion of the deck has a screened in porch due to the naturally buggy environment since the home is situated in the woods and a low area. A mosquito repellent injection system was incorporated into the irrigation system to help with the bug issue. We improved circulation of the driveway, increased the overall curb appeal of the entrance of the home, and created a scaled and proportional outdoor living environment for the clients to enjoy. The client has religious guidelines that needed to be adhered to with the overall function and design of the landscape, which included an arbor over the deck to support a Sukkah and a Green Egg smoker to cook Kosher foods. Two columns were added at the driveway entrance with lights to help define their driveway entrance since it's the end of a long pipe-stem. New light fixtures were also added to the rear of the house. Our client desired multiple amenities with a limited budget, so everything had to be value engineered through the design and construction process. There is heavy deer pressure on the site, a mosquito issue, low site elevations, flat topography, poor soil, and overall poor drainage of the site. The original driveway was not sized appropriately and the front porch had structural issues, as well as leaked water onto the landing below.
