A wide open lawn provided the perfect setting for a beautiful backyard barn. The home owners, who are avid gardeners, wanted an indoor workshop and space to store supplies - and they didn’t want it to be an eyesore. During the contemplation phase, they came across a few barns designed by a company called Country Carpenters and fell in love with the charm and character of the structures. Since they had worked with us in the past, we were automatically the builder of choice!
Country Carpenters sent us the drawings and supplies, right down to the pre-cut lengths of lumber, and our carpenters put all the pieces together. In order to accommodate township rules and regulations regarding water run-off, we performed the necessary calculations and adjustments to ensure the final structure was built 6 feet shorter than indicated by the original plans.

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL
"Patio Lane did an incredible job making custom cushions for me!! We purchased patio furniture without the cushions. I sent the measurements and they made them for me exactly as indicated. After receiving them we realized there was a mix up on one of the measurements and they were very quick to resolve the issue for me. The quality and construction is impeccable. I highly recommend using this company for any of your outdoor cushion needs!"

The bones of this 1908 Glen Park home had been compromised by years and years of awkward remodels. The front door led directly to the private bedroom level, while the public gathering spaces were one-level down, with the main staircase nearly dropping you into the existing kitchen. Potentially spectacular views of an existing mature redwood tree and broad city views beyond were entirely ignored and inaccessible.
We first unraveled the knot of the plan with a new split-level entryway and connecting stair. We then opened up the rear of the home to the views, using the huge backyard conifer as design inspiration for a perforated steel guardrail connecting the new interior and exterior space seamlessly. A lower expansion connects the home to the yard and alleyway garage entry.
The Pinales House is indicative of the scale of remodel many young families can consider; a scale at which strategic design choices are key to discovering the unrealized potential of the home and site.

Large windows were thoughtfully placed to provide a visual connection to the surrounding landscape while allowing a degree of privacy from the main house. An accessible terrace provides a private space for the clients to enjoy views of the river and woods. Raised Corten steel planters allow a lifelong gardener to be safely seated while she tends to her plants and provide her with a visual cue that indicates the edge of the terrace.

Christmas holiday design for an amazing animal conservation ranch in Texas. Our goal was to deliver a holiday scheme indicative of rustic Texas. For year 2012 our look was to design with a color palette of forest green, rust, brown, cream and gold pulling from the use of natural elements, often found on the ranch, such as pheasant and ostrich feathers, deer sheds, lichen covered branches, beautiful vintage fowl and small critter taxidermy, massive pine comes, silver birch branches etc.. mixed with vintage wood skis, copper bladed ice skates, rustic lanterns, etc..

This Classic Quarry large Horizon Falls wall fountain will instantly become the crowning jewel of any room you put it in, whether it's in your home or office. When you look at this fountain, your eye will be naturally drawn to the movement of the water over the stunning brown marble stone to the awaiting polished cream white river rocks. The calming effect of this sight and sound cannot be overstated.
Rainforest marble is not technically a marble; it's a serpentinite, which is rock composed predominantly of one or more serpentine minerals and is known for its healing qualities. Due to its elegant smooth appearance similar to marble, it is often referred to as marble. The name "Rainforest" comes from the distinctive veining that looks like tree branches or a "rainforest jungle". This particular marble is very strong and characteristics in veining and movement will tend to vary greatly between stones. Rainforest brown boasts earthy shades of warm brown, lush gold, and gray. This stone has deep reddish brown and white veining.
Bluworld HOMelements™ Classic Quarry Line also features your choice of premium metals, like brushed stainless steel, rustic copper with our signature hand-applied patina, or your choice of our standard colors like Black Onyx or Copper Vein trim kits. Remotely controlled dimmable, long lasting, warm white LED lighting highlights the beauty of the stone color and texture. A removable rock tray allows easy access to the pump and adjustable flow rate valve. Cream White River Rocks are included.
This fountain can be customized with the logo of your choice.
Natural stone varies in color due to the different hues of the natural particles that make up the product. All stones are natural and vary in color, intensity and veining. Photos are provided as an indication only. It is the variation in natural stone that makes each fountain quite unique.
Since this product is natural stone, color and texture variances are not defects within the material, but are inherent to it and part of the natural beauty of quarried materials. Our natural stone slabs are imported from quarries worldwide. The Classic Quarry Line contains stunning slices of the natural world.
Due to the broad range of colors and textures (Granite excluded) you may wish to select your own stone. This culling service is offered for an additional fee and includes photos of 4 different slabs from your selected stone species. Stone selections must be made within 48 hours of photo receipt. Our Culling Service is not offered for Absolute Black Granite.

This is one of our latest designs: a leather media console! It would also serve perfectly as a rustic credenza, sideboard or buffet and would look amazing in any eclectic interior or rustic cabin setting.
This rustic media console is handmade with rawhide by us here in our shop located in Texas. It can be made in any size or configuration, but the one in this listing is for one that is 18” deep and 27” high (see listing options for common widths. One shown is 72” wide). Please email for pricing on any custom sizes.
As you can see, it has four doors that are leather (authentic leather), but we can make it with any number of doors. Or, we can make it with mesh doors (like you see on many of our other media consoles) so remote control infrared signals can pass through. The top, sides, and doors are also real leather but can be made with reclaimed wood. Or, for a more industrial look, we can add decorative rivets as you see on many of our other items.
There is one inner shelf that spans the entire width of the unit. There are no inner partitions, so wide AV components can easily fit inside. There is a back with a 2” gap at the bottom for cables to exit.
We can make the legs any height you’d like. So, if you want a more “chunky” looking unit, we can make it with shorter legs. Or, prefer a visually “lighter” looking unit? We can make it with taller legs. We can also all solid steel wheels to give it a bar cart height.
Another popular configuration for this particular piece is to make it with a brown frame as opposed to the black one shown.
We can also make your unit in either of the 3 types of leather shown Select “tan”, “brown-white”, or “suede.”
Model: The Goodnight (named after the famous American west cattle rancher, Charlie Goodnight).
Price as shown: $1,650.00
Please inquire for pricing on any custom configurations.
NOTE: We only source leather from socially responsible providers and they are recycled from the meat industry. So, no animals are killed strictly for their fur – cowhides are a byproduct of the farming/meat industry. Also, be aware that we use real hides. So, expect some variation as all are unique. Some hides might contain some small natural marks due to conditions inherent to natural animal products such as branding. All natural cowhides have small, minor flaws, which adds to their authenticity.

- POLKA DOTS SIDEBOARD. In designing Polka Dots, Toyo Ito placed multiple methacrylate, circular inserts in apparent disarray on the doors, in stark contrast to the strict and minimalist structures of this piece of furniture. This graphic idea is reminiscent of Tokyo's Za-Koenji theatre, also designed by the great architect. The inserts represent, as the name itself indicates, a multitude of dots that seem to fly gently upwards and that, upon turning the interior lights on, create a magical play of lights and shadows.

This perspective showcases a contemporary bathroom's bathtub-shower combination, neatly integrated into an alcove. The walls surrounding the tub are clad in large, light-toned rectangular tiles with subtle horizontal striations, providing a clean and serene backdrop. A modern chrome bathtub faucet and showerhead are visible. To the right, a clear glass shower enclosure indicates a separate shower area. The vibrant patterned floor tiles extend consistently, offering a striking visual contrast and unifying the space.

The farmhouse is a classic, combining comfort and simplicity, elegance and nostalgia, all without pretension. No matter the age, these historic homestead pioneers worked the land and raised their families at a time when practicality was key to prosperity.
But the farmhouse is more than a historic one. Farmhouse style continues to evolve into the 21st century, carrying with it the best of the past while adapting to our modern lifestyle. A farmhouse is instantly recognizable for its main rectangular form, gabled or lean-to additions, various outbuildings, and spartan architecture, among other hallmarks. While the farmhouse's use of natural materials and basic construction is indicative of its traditional, sensible nature, modern farmhouses might equally be built according to energy-efficient standards.

Miele's induction cooktop offers the benefits of a gas flame, including rapid heat-up and cool down, without the concerns of gas and other types of electric heating. In addition to the safety benefit of heat being contained within pots and pans, precise induction cooking also saves energy through its precise output.

This meditation bench brings the outside in by featuring a stone as one of the legs to hold up the top, creating a great place to be alone with your thoughts and meditate.
This bench is balanced with a hollowed granite leg, ground out by hand with the aid of a diamond drill bit and an angle grinder to provide a more manageable weight.
I hand-carved a peek-a-boo opening in the mahogany seat to expose the granite for aesthetic interest while supporting the seat with a custom-fabricated metal bracket underneath for stability. The wooden leg is mortised securely through the top and wedged in place with walnut wedges. The supporting walnut arch spanning from one leg to the underside of the seat is one piece. The arch passes through a mortise in each of the cross braces, which are precisely spaced to provide artistic interest and balance. Each mortise was cut by hand with a mallet and chisel.
This silky-smooth bench was built without nails or screws and made from high-quality hardwood, richly-grained African mahogany that begs to be touched. The seat and one leg are African mahogany, and the wedges, arch, and cross braces are walnut. The beautifully placed granite leg is local Colorado granite with natural lichen. The rich reddish-brown mahogany against the subtle soft green color of the lichen provides a sense of stability and harmony.
The design inspiration for having the rock poke through the bench top came from an architect friend, who had a granite boulder craned in through the roof of a house and carved into a gas fireplace. The architect’s stories about how challenging the project was to integrate such an organic piece in an otherwise modern home got me thinking about how I could incorporate organic shapes into my furniture. The arch design came from one of my favorite hiking places in the Cascades, a bridge that spans across Multnomah Falls.
Since publishing this work, I have been told that the design is stupid as only one person can sit on the bench at a time. Those opinions are the beauty of art, as everyone interprets it differently, and not everyone will get its purpose. However, subconsciously, I think the design spoke well for itself, as its purpose is for one person to be alone and meditate. Its deeper meaning may not be obvious or understood by everyone. However, its design has at least set the stage as only one person can comfortably sit on it at a time.
This level of detail is indicative of my work. I try to create a single focal point to catch the viewer’s eye and draw them in. Then, once they get up close to a piece and start interacting with it, they will start to see all the additional details.
I like how the bench top is carefully carved so it sits around the stone and how the weight of the stone helps balance the piece. They start to understand how it was built as they see the joinery detail, of how the tenon comes through the top and is wedged in place.

In this infrared photo, you can see the moisture level in the wall, which is indicated by the dark blue/purplish coloring .
