Designed by a husband and wife team, (the latter is the founder and designer behind Brownstone Design & Co.) the breathtaking open-concept interior delivers modernist design principles with thoughtfully selected finishes throughout. The duo designed the home of their dreams themselves, drawing out inch by inch to specify exactly the look they wanted and picking all of the materials themselves including tiles, floorboards, siding, and of course, lighting. Brownstone Design & Co. worked with Zaneen to carefully select lighting solutions from all three divisions of Zaneen lighting - architectural, design and exterior – allowing for ease of coordination, quality and consistency by working with one brand. From the kitchen to the bathroom and every thoughtfully-designed space in between, all of the fixtures used are energy efficient, dimmable and customized in order to suit the needs and dimensions of the spaces. Since the specifications of their home were not standard, our experts provided the necessary knowledge and advice to install high-quality products to match the luxury home. Collaborating with Zaneen, Brownstone Design & Co. was able to turn lighting from just a functional element into art, bringing the overall interior design to life with the use of dark wood embellishments, gorgeous marble backdrops and more. The result is a magazine worthy home that is at once modern, comfortable, and conducive to raising a family.

This impressive bespoke fitted media wall, tailored storage and display features, was handcrafted and installed by Bespoke by Acorn for our clients’ private family residence in Sutton, Surrey. Spanning the entire wall from floor to ceiling, the structure and style make the unit look and feel like an architectural part of the living room. The custom-built joinery features handcrafted built-in storage and lighting, with plug sockets and cables elegantly concealed. We also created the curtain rail which integrates seamlessly into the TV unit and wall panelling achieving a cohesive, streamlined look. Natural oak grain with a dark grey luxury finish The custom-built TV wall cabinet is modern minimalist in design and flawlessly finished in oak with a graphite wood stain. This sophisticated deep grey colour reflects the resurgence of retro luxury in interior design and matches the style of the property’s interior décor scheme. A premium quality satin lacquer gives the surface a protective hardwearing finish. Bespoke layout, storage and lighting For this media wall unit, our clients wanted to have open made-to-measure display areas with low-level cupboards for storage. The lower cabinets have sleek, minimalist doors featuring an effortless, push to open, handle-free design. Bespoke integrated dimmable LED lighting which adds visual dimension, illuminates artworks and brings an attractive ambience to the room. The upper grid layout achieves a pleasing sense of balance and harmony, with attractive pieces on display, while other items such as equipment and everyday essentials are discreetly stored behind closed doors.

A dramatic crystal chandelier installation designed to anchor this contemporary living space. The lighting fixture adds sparkle and visual depth while complementing the rooms neutral palette and modern furnishings. Installation included precision mounting, wiring, and integration with dimmable lighting controls.

We revamped this 1960's Mid-Century Valley Glen home, by transforming its wide spacious kitchen into a modern mid-century style. We completely removed the old cabinets, reconfigured the layout, upgraded the electrical and plumbing system of the kitchen. We installed 6 dimmable recessed light cans, new GFI outlets, new switches, and brand-new appliances. We moved the stovetop's location opposite from its original location for the sake of space efficiency to create new countertop space for dining. Relocating the stovetop required creating a new gas line and ventilation pipeline. We installed 56 linear feet of beautiful custom flat-panel walnut and off-white cabinets that house the stovetop refrigerator, wine cellar, sink, and dishwasher seamlessly. The cabinets have beautiful gold brush hardware, self-close mechanisms, adjustable shelves, full extension drawers, and a spice rack pull-out. There is also a pullout drawer that glides out quietly for easy access to store essentials at the party. We installed 45 sq. ft. of teal subway tile backsplash adds a pop of color to the brown walnut, gold, and neutral color palette of the kitchen. The 45 sq. ft. of countertop is made of a solid color off-white custom-quartz which matches the color of the top cabinets of the kitchen. Paired with the 220 sq. ft. of natural off-white stone flooring tiles, the color combination of the kitchen embodies the essence of modern mid-century style.
