In this recently completed project in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, a previously underutilized and awkwardly laid-out backyard was reimagined as a sleek, modern outdoor retreat. The garden was thoughtfully divided into three distinct zones: a dining and cooking area anchored by a modern outdoor kitchen, a quiet, contemplative nook designed for one or two people to unwind, and a generous lounge space featuring a custom curved Ipe bench beneath a minimalist pergola.
To complete the transformation, integrated lighting, irrigation, and a fully equipped kitchen were installed. A clean-lined fence was added to screen out negative views, helping to create a private, oasis-like atmosphere in the heart of the city. The result is a sophisticated, highly functional garden that extends the home’s living space and supports year-round enjoyment.

Small kitchens are such a challenge, but sometimes those special space dilemmas create the opportunity for an even more optimal solution!
The original walls were very thin at 3" in this modern kitchen renovation. You cannot put plumbing in that! So we built out the kitchen wall out in order to run wires and pipes behind the wall. Then we used gem-like green glass mosaic tile to tie it in visually. It's a perfect pairing with Okite's beautiful Frosty Carrara Quartz Countertop and our custom Shaker style island and cabinets in a white satin finish.
Stainless steel appliances finish off this urban dream kitchen, like the the Liebherr Refrigerator, but it required a 10 inch clearance to open the door. The answer was to create a great custom pantry next to it. In the end it is a much better use of space! In order to accommodate plumbing on the window side wall, we designed the pantry door to open over the window sill.

After nearly two decades, the homeowners of this Lakeville, MN kitchen remodel were ready to breathe new life into their space. They debated between making small aesthetic updates or going all-in on a full kitchen remodel. In the end, they chose a complete transformation.
The new kitchen now reaches to the 10-foot ceilings, with custom cabinetry that ties in with the home’s original cherry woodwork. A blend of existing and new appliances allowed us to rethink the layout for better flow and functionality. The redesigned island now features a larger prep surface, an integrated sink, and generous seating, perfect for casual meals and conversation. We also carved out a charming beverage station for morning coffee and easy grab-and-go drinks. By relocating the dining table to the sunroom and extending the wood flooring into the great room, the entire main level feels more open and connected.
Striking quartzite countertops with ocean-blue accents, a show-stopping herringbone backsplash, and subtle reeded details on the island and hood bring texture and depth. Painted in rich charcoal, the coffee bar and island base offer bold contrast to the natural cherry cabinetry, adding just the right balance of warmth and sophistication.
The result is a stunning, reimagined kitchen that truly reflects how the homeowners live today.

In the kitchen we used high-gloss white cabinets and white quartz composite countertops for a clean, modern look. The backsplash is plate glass as is the backside of the island. We added a touch of color with turquoise bookshelves at the edge of the pantry wall. A Miele appliance suite with a built-in espresso machine complete the high tech space. To keep the space airy and bring in natural light we installed transom windows above the cabinets.

The goal of this master bath transformation was to stay within existing footprint and improve the look, storage and functionality of the master bath. Right Wall: Along the right wall, designers gain footage and enlarge both the shower and water closet by replacing the existing tub and outdated surround with a freestanding Roman soaking tub. They use glass shower walls so natural light can illuminate the formerly dark, enclosed corner shower. From the footage gained from the tub area, designers add a toiletry closet in the water closet. They integrate the room's trim and window's valance to conceal a dropdown privacy shade over the leaded glass window behind the tub. Left Wall: A sink area originally located along the back wall is reconfigured into a symmetrical double-sink vanity along the left wall. Both sink mirrors are flanked by shelves of storage hidden behind tall, slender doors that are configured in the vanity to mimic columns. Back Wall: The back wall unit is built for storage and display, plus it houses a television that intentionally blends into the deep coloration of the millwork. The positioning of the television allows it to be watched from multiple vantage points – even from the shower. An under counter refrigerator is located in the lower left portion of unit.
