Inspiration for a small modern dark wood floor home studio remodel in Los Angeles

The owners of this 1958 mid-century modern home desired a refreshing new master bathroom that was open and bright. The previous bathroom felt dark and cramped, with dated fixtures. A new bathroom was designed, borrowing much needed space from the neighboring garage, and allowing for a larger shower, a generous vanity with integrated trough sink and a soaking tub.

Sony invited architect and interior designer Campion Platt to design two rooms that showcase the new 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector. Platt created a luxurious and inviting bedroom escape and an immersive jazz-themed lounge at New York City’s famous Waterfall Mansion. We packed as much as we could into this small bathroom, loading it with all of the latest and greatest in bathroom technology. Outlets are hidden in the medicine cabinet and vanity, and the toilet features a bidet toilet seat with remote control. The tub features Kohler’s VibrAcoustic technology, which uses sound waves to relax your muscles. Technical specialties/characteristics : -Built on internal reinforced/waterproof structure. -Specific dimensions with absolute accuracy. -All cutting on the sink opening and miters by hand watercut for maximum accuracy and reducing of material loss in order to use the cut out for matching the flow on the two of the inner sides exactly . -Adjustment water cutting by hand absolutely necessary on side miters for perfection. -Use of appropriate glues and matching to have small tight miters everywhere.
