We stripped, re-stained and sealed the existing maple cabinets a nutmeg color. Slab granite, subway tile backsplash with glass decorative mosaic tiles tie it all together. A stainless hood vent over the island cooktop. We added a multi-piece crown system to cover existing soffits to blend into cabinetry.

A chic industrial kitchen that has a certain sense of inviting softness relies heavily on lighting, the ceiling and the walls around it to deliver an industrial flavor. Whites, blacks and wood are what make great color choices for this industrial kitchen as it combines the steely grit of the industrial style with contemporary sophistication. Open shelving was another great way of bringing industrial beauty to this kitchen while expanding the available shelf space. These floating shelves also allows for complete use of the vertical space.

The overall space shows the multipurpose uses. The door way on the left goes into the work out area, the door in the right corner goes into the powder room. There is still room for storage under the stairs and below the readying nook.

Everything has its own place in this newly renovated kitchen. At Ashdale Residence, the main concept is to open up the kitchen to create a seamless transition moving from one space to another and to maximize natural light within long and narrow spaces of the house. The transformation is achieved in a sustainable and cost-conscious manner.
Features: customized open shelving, lots of storage space, neutral colour palette, durable materials, simple clean lines.

Client wanted a master bedroom that felt like walking into a Ralph Lauren bedroom. She adores plaid. The bed was custom made and designed by Peggy Snider. Photography courtesy of Larry Snider Design.

Clients renovating their primary residence first wanted to create an inviting guest house they could call home during their renovation. Traditional in it's original construction, this project called for a rethink of lighting (both through the addition of windows to add natural light) as well as modern fixtures to create a blended transitional feel. We used bright colors in the kitchen to create a big impact in a small space. All told, the result is cozy, inviting and full of charm.
