Modern Citi Group helped Andrew and Malabika in their renovation journey, as they sought to transform their 2,400 sq ft apartment in Sutton Place.
This comprehensive renovation project encompassed both architectural and construction components. On the architectural front, it involved a legal combination of the two units and layout adjustments to enhance the overall functionality, create an open floor plan and improve the flow of the residence. The construction aspect of the remodel included all areas of the home: the kitchen and dining room, the living room, three bedrooms, the master bathroom, a powder room, and an office/den.
Throughout the renovation process, the primary objective remained to modernize the apartment while ensuring it aligned with the family’s lifestyle and needs. The design challenge was to deliver the modern aesthetics and functionality while preserving some of the existing design features. The designers worked on several layouts and design visualizations so they had options. Finally, the choice was made and the family felt confident in their decision.
From the moment the permits were approved, our construction team set out to transform every corner of this space. During the building phase, we meticulously refinished floors, walls, and ceilings, replaced doors, and updated electrical and plumbing systems.
The main focus of the renovation was to create a seamless flow between the living room, formal dining room, and open kitchen. A stunning waterfall peninsula with pendant lighting, along with Statuario Nuvo Quartz countertop and backsplash, elevated the aesthetics. Matte white cabinetry was added to enhance functionality and storage in the newly remodeled kitchen.
The three bedrooms were elevated with refinished built-in wardrobes and custom closet solutions, adding both usability and elegance. The fully reconfigured master suite bathroom, included a linen closet, elegant Beckett double vanity, MSI Crystal Bianco wall and floor tile, and high-end Delta and Kohler fixtures.
In addition to the comprehensive renovation of the living spaces, we've also transformed the office/entertainment room with the same great attention to detail. Complete with a sleek wet bar featuring a wine fridge, Empira White countertop and backsplash, and a convenient adjacent laundry area with a renovated powder room.
In a matter of several months, Modern Citi Group has redefined luxury living through this meticulous remodel, ensuring every inch of the space reflects unparalleled sophistication, modern functionality, and the unique taste of its owners.

We had the pleasure of working with the Vigliotti family to create a beautiful new 4-season room addition.
This project began with the careful demolition of existing structures to make way for a space designed to be enjoyed year-round. From the outset, we focused on maintaining transparency and open communication, ensuring the Vigliottis were involved and informed at every step. Despite the challenges posed by large rocks and ledges in the ground, our team expertly navigated the terrain to ensure a solid foundation, remaining committed to delivering a space that not only met but exceeded their expectations.
Key features of this addition include:
• Energy Efficiency: High-efficiency windows and spray foam insulation were installed throughout to maximize energy savings.
• Mudroom: A practical and welcoming mudroom area was created, perfect for managing the transition from outdoors to indoors.
• Composite Deck: The new composite deck, complete with all required flashing and solid PVC skirts, promises durability and low maintenance for years to come.
• Modern Lighting: We installed all-new electrical systems, featuring recessed LED ceiling lights that provide a sleek and modern touch.
• Exposed Beams & Cathedral Ceiling: The room’s exposed finished beams and cathedral ceiling add a sense of grandeur and spaciousness, making the space feel open and airy.
• Integrated HVAC: The addition was seamlessly connected to the existing central air system, ensuring consistent comfort throughout the home.
• Patio Finish: A beautifully finished patio area was added to complement the inviting backyard, creating a perfect space for the family to enjoy outdoor gatherings.
The Vigliottis were highly engaged throughout the project, and their kind words about our honesty, trustworthiness, and customer-focused approach mean the world to us.
In their review, they mentioned that they’ve worked with several contractors over the years, but Beroli stands out as the best. We are incredibly proud to have earned such high praise and to have delivered a home addition that the Vigliotti family can enjoy for years to come.

We purchased this home that hadn't had much of an opportunity to have been revitalized throughout the years, therefore, had grown old and tired. We were excited at the vision of what it could be! Through a 5 month process we renovated and refurbished this home with updated bathrooms, kitchen, flooring, ceilings, and exterior work, and fully new windows and french door to create the indoor/outdoor living. Added on a new guest bathroom and laundry room, skylights, and elegant chandeliers and further updated the electrical, plumbing and A/C and heating units. The end product was magnificently elegant with a breathtaking kitchen, modern bathrooms, with a distinct contrast in flooring materials used that left an impressive impression for everyone that toured the property. The before and after pictures of the facade of the property were so contrasting that people who had previously seen pictures of the property or the property itself had a hard time recognizing it when driving by. This project was a huge success for our company and created the elevated energy for all that were involved, including the upliftment of the neighborhood.

This North Shore of Boston client wanted to make a change; she decided to purchase a seaside antique home and was up for the challenge to re-design and remodel. Her plan involved re-locating her mother from Florida to the newly added wing of the house when the remodel was in full swing.
We believed that what was standing between our client and the kitchen of her dreams was a well thought out, creative design and a wall or two…
Once outdated and worn, this 1830 antique kitchen was closed off from the family room and dining spaces. The newly re-configured kitchen with re-claimed wide-plank wood floors and restorations to wood cladding on the ceiling, beam and open corner shelving really warmed up the room and welcomes friends, neighbors and relatives. Wood bead board paneling around the island cabinetry along with mixed metals, tie in nicely with the stunning soapstone countertops with distinctive copper-colored veining, creating a beautiful vintage appeal.
Styled to look like an old-fashioned stove, this steel range boasts modern conveniences such as dual-fuel (gas burners and electric oven) and a convection oven crowned by a custom steel hood adorned with rivets and metal trims.
To enrich the vintage feel, a white farm-style fire clay apron sink was installed that also evokes a classic and time- honored feel.
Although the process was daunting as it presented several challenges, it was a rewarding experience when the project was completed. Our client and her mother were absolutely thrilled with the final results.
“Thank you to Cathy and Ed very much for all your assistance with my kitchen planning! I’m fortunate to have had your input and expertise! It was great seeing you and spending time together and my mom really liked you both. I would welcome you to stop by and say hello when you’re headed to Portsmouth or the north shore. All the best!”

We completely transformed this bathroom by starting from scratch, ripping it down to the studs and gutting every inch of the space. The process involved redoing the electrical and plumbing systems to ensure everything was up to modern standards. Several walls were reframed to accommodate the new layout and design, ensuring both functionality and flow. With the client's budget in mind, we carefully planned every detail of the design, creating a sleek, modern bathroom that would stand the test of time. The tile work was executed with absolute precision, creating a flawless finish that added both style and sophistication. One of the standout features was re-glazing the original 1969 cast iron bathtub, giving it a fresh, new look while preserving its vintage charm. The end result was a beautifully renovated bathroom that met all of the client’s needs while respecting both their vision and budget.

The project involved opening the ceiling on the ground floor of a 1930s duplex and replacing the plaster finish with a gypsum ceiling system. Aluminum electrical wiring was also replaced to conform to current standards, and the existing lighting was exchanged for new pot lights in all rooms.
Once the ceilings were opened, an acoustic, soundproofing insulation system was installed to absorb interior noise from the second floor of the duplex. The soundproofing system consists of blown wool insulation, padded with a thin layer of air between it and the gypsum ceiling finish, along with the installation of resilient bars.

The client purchased a mature, small, NAPA Valley vineyard to be their home and for personal enjoyment.
Once they began converting their new "hobby" grapes into wine, they soon realized they needed a place to "age" their labors and a place to then enjoy them. They decided to design such a place within the confines of their home where they could entertain family and friends.
The structure was modified to allow storage of more than 200 individual bottles, cases, and magnum size bottles. A cask room was added as was a well-appointed tasting room. The storage area is separated from the tasting and social area by a tempered glass doors and windows. The space to be converted was a challenge. No surface was plumb or level, therefore, the remodel involved interior walls, new floors and ceilings.
Until these issues were addressed, the beautiful cabinet work, and a complete temperature and humidity control system to store, maintain, and enjoy the wine could not be started. The floors had to be floated out and chases with faux finishes provided for HVAC and electrical. Lighting in the tasting room is provided by a series of recessed and puck lights.
The bar/counter area is highlighted by a custom, Tiffany style chandelier. Enough space was left in front of the bar to accommodate two serving tables for food and snacks, with plenty of room to move about the space. Discreetly hidden behind the bar is a large capacity cooler that can chill several bottles at once.
The bar is capped with eight lineal feet of Calcutta Gold Marble and sports a brass foot rail. The bar has grape panels between Acanthus Corbels and the bottle storage cabinet areas are a unique blend of Acanthus overlays under precisely cut and mitered grape design crown molding over and around a cleverly designed bottle storage system.
Traffic flow is achieved through the multiple points of entry through any of three pairs of 6' custom double doors which, when weather permitting, can remain open while entertaining. The host and hostess can attend food and beverage service from behind and around the bar through a separate doorway.
The temperature controlled cask storage area is large enough for the clients' current needs, and can accommodate a larger number of casks should the need arise.
The floor and walls of the cask room are designed for easy maintenance.. Both rooms are delightfully decorated with earthen tone faux finishes on walls, ceilings and floors reminiscent of a nonspecific European wine making region.
This effect is extended to the soffits in the tasting room. A unique wine racking system is easily stored, providing even greater ability to maintain and move about the storage area.

In the great room, wrought iron accents are featured in a new staircase handrail system. Other metal accents are found in the new chandelier, barstools and the legs of the live edge coffee table. An open area under the staircase was enclosed with recessed shelving which gives a focal point to the dinette area. Recessed built-in cabinets near the fireplace store TV technology and accessories. The original tiled hearth was replaced by poured concrete with stone accents.
A queen sleeper sofa from Edgecomb provides additional sleeping. Fabrics and upholstery throughout the condo were selected for durability and cleanability.
Basic white laminate kitchen cabinets were replaced with beautiful dark stained wood. Floor tile is a wood-look porcelain from Daltile called Saddle Brook. Countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms are solid surface Corian Quartz (formerly called DuPont Zodiaq). Broadloom carpet is from Durkan. The first floor bedroom is Mona Vista pattern from Modesto Collection; all other carpet is Inviting Spaces pattern from Timeless Compositions. Walls are painted with Sherwin Williams 7647 Crushed Ice.
The main floor bedroom has a custom headboard mounted on a feature wall with plaid wallcovering. A freestanding vanity with undermount sink was added to the alcove area, creating space for a larger walk-in tiled shower with custom bench. On both levels, backlit mirrors highlight the sink areas. The upstairs bath has a blue tile feature wall and vessel sink.
A fiberglass bathtub surround was removed and replaced by a custom tiled shower. Vinyl wallcovering from D.L. Couch provides a focal point behind the king headboard in the loft bedroom. A twin sleeper chair adds an extra bed.

This was a mid century duplex that we gut-renovated and converted into a single family home with an updated modern aesthetic.
The original house was a mix of styles: midcentury modern with Jeffersonian windows- a bit muddled! We worked with the owners to create a clean, unified aesthetic for an updated modern family home.
The scope of the work involved completely new systems (plumbing, electric and HVAC) and gut-renovating all three floors in phases that allowed the homeowners to remain in occupancy throughout the project!

Our clients wanted to open up the first floor of their home from front to back. This involved removing a bearing wall, and a block outside partition. This included the back room into the main floor space and opened up more light from the double doors in the backyard. The main floor included renovation of the entire HVAC boiling system, electrical, plumbing, and finishing materials. The traditional features of the main floor work well with the IKEA cabinets and London Gray CeasarStone Quartz countertops.

Our project involved a complete makeover of the kitchen and mudroom to suit the client's preferences. We installed new countertops, backsplash, sink, and faucet in the kitchen, along with a fresh coat of paint on the cabinets and new handles. Structural improvements included adding a new cabinet, exposed beams, and a support beam for stability. Hardwood floors were laid throughout the first floor, including the stairs, and custom-built-ins were incorporated into the mudroom design. Electrical and plumbing updates were carried out, along with additional touches like shiplap in the breakfast area and exposed beams in the family room, enhancing the overall appeal of the space.

This young couple, busy raising two young boys (plus a playful cat), had always planned to renovate—it was just a matter of finding the right people for the job.
Their biggest concern? Hiring a contractor they could truly rely on to bring their vision to life without added stress.
The master ensuite simply wasn’t working. A large, unused deck-mount tub dominated the space, while the tiny, dim shower made daily routines uncomfortable. The layout didn’t make sense for how they actually used the room, which ended up being mostly for the toilet and vanity. On top of that, the master bedroom sat in an open loft without proper walls or a door, making privacy nearly impossible.
Our solution involved a thoughtful reconfiguration of the ensuite. We removed the oversized tub and replaced it with a spacious walk-in shower. The old, cramped shower space became the perfect spot for a relocated vanity, allowing for better flow and use of the room. Up in the loft, we built a new wall with a door to give the bedroom the privacy it was missing. The stairway was also refreshed with new oak treads and a stained handrail to match the existing flooring.
One challenge during construction was installing the custom shower glass and tile within the sloped ceilings and angled walls—but our team carefully managed every detail to ensure a precise and polished finish.
The new master ensuite now feels like a retreat.
Handmade-style blue subway tiles add a calming pop of colour in the shower, paired with crème porcelain floor tiles. A prefabricated solid wood vanity with quartz countertop, brushed nickel fixtures, and an electric towel warmer complete the space—bringing comfort and functionality together beautifully.
A fun moment during the design phase? We used stools, tables, and even a piano to mock up the future layout—helping the homeowners get a real feel for the spacing between the new vanity and toilet. It was a creative, hands-on way to ensure everyone felt confident moving forward.
Now, the ensuite functions exactly as it should: a fully usable and relaxing 3-piece bathroom, styled just the way they wanted. And with the new loft wall and door, the bedroom finally feels like a true primary suite—private, peaceful, and made for them.

This project involved a comprehensive renovation of a home in Braintree, MA. The renovation encompassed the kitchen, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and the living room. Special attention was given to each space, resulting in a completely transformed home that is modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. The end result not only met but exceeded the homeowner's expectations, leaving them extremely satisfied with the outcome.
