The small antique chandelier was the inspiration for this powder room, while the acrylic in the wall sconce and mirror add a touch of updated transitional style. The metallic grey wallpaper contrasts beautifully with the white vanity cabinet. The quartz counter top has subtle grey veining with a shaped backsplash and ogee edge and offers a nice backdrop for the polished nickel faucet. Brass on the mirror and sconce tie in nicely with the chinoiserie corner shelf, while framed fern art fill the need for just one piece of art. The powder room offers a space of elegance, if only for a moment!

A standout feature is the set of warming drawers, their practical presence integrated seamlessly into the design with white front panels and sleek handles. Above the warming drawers, a solid wood countertop offers a warm contrast to the cool grey tones, providing a perfect spot for a cheerful bouquet and home essentials. The side of one cabinet is adorned with a mesh screen detail, marrying functionality with design by concealing contents while adding textural interest.

The client wanted to reinvent this living room so that it would be used as a reading, gathering room. The goal for this living room was to create a calming respite by way of a transitional design aesthetic and a sophisticated appeal. I used the existing photographic art as a taking off point for the selection of some timeless updated pieces. The washed dhurrie rug, black accent tables and rattan sideboard created the sophistication that was desired. Custom throw pillows give a layer of pattern and color to finish the look. A custom millwork piece in the living room was designed to house an entertainment center, work space, and mud room storage for this 1700 square foot loft in Tribeca. Reclaimed gray wood clads the storage and compliments the gray leather desk. Blackened Steel works with the gray material palette at the desk wall and entertainment area. An island with customization for the family dog completes the large, open kitchen. The floors were ebonized to emphasize the raw materials in the space.
