Our latest project, Fish Camp, on Longboat Key, FL. This home was designed around tight zoning restrictions while meeting the FEMA V-zone requirement. It is registered with LEED and is expected to be Platinum certified. It is rated EnergyStar v. 3.1 with a HERS index of 50. Industrial transitional English style kitchen. The addition and remodeling were designed to keep the outdoors inside. Replaced the uppers and prioritized windows connected to key parts of the backyard and having open shelvings with walnut and brass details. Custom dark cabinets made locally. Designed to maximize the storage and performance of a growing family and host big gatherings. The large island was a key goal of the homeowners with the abundant seating and the custom booth opposite to the range area. The booth was custom built to match the client's favorite dinner spot. In addition, we created a more New England style mudroom in connection with the patio. And also a full pantry with a coffee station and pocket doors.

These young homeowners purchased the house from its original owner, who had meticulously cared for it since overseeing its construction nearly 50 years ago. While the home was in excellent condition, it needed updates to better suit the new owners' lifestyle and growing family. The renovation involved moving a few walls and rearranging key rooms to optimize the layout for an open, functional flow. A spacious island with seating was added to enhance the kitchen's usability, along with well-thought-out cabinetry. The final design reflects the homeowners' contemporary style while preserving the home's original charm.
