Our clients came to us wanting to update and open up their kitchen, breakfast nook, wet bar, and den. They wanted a cleaner look without clutter but didn’t want to go with an all-white kitchen, fearing it’s too trendy. Their kitchen was not utilized well and was not aesthetically appealing; it was very ornate and dark. The cooktop was too far back in the kitchen towards the butler’s pantry, making it awkward when cooking, so they knew they wanted that moved. The rest was left up to our designer to overcome these obstacles and give them their dream kitchen. We gutted the kitchen cabinets, including the built-in china cabinet and all finishes. The pony wall that once separated the kitchen from the den (and also housed the sink, dishwasher, and ice maker) was removed, and those appliances were relocated to the new large island, which had a ton of storage and a 15” overhang for bar seating. Beautiful aged brass Quebec 6-light pendants were hung above the island. All cabinets were replaced and drawers were designed to maximize storage. The Eclipse “Greensboro” cabinetry was painted gray with satin brass Emtek Mod Hex “Urban Modern” pulls. A large banquet seating area was added where the stand-alone kitchen table once sat. The main wall was covered with 20x20 white Golwoo tile. The backsplash in the kitchen and the banquette accent tile was a contemporary coordinating Tempesta Neve polished Wheaton mosaic marble. In the wet bar, they wanted to completely gut and replace everything! The overhang was useless and it was closed off with a large bar that they wanted to be opened up, so we leveled out the ceilings and filled in the original doorway into the bar in order for the flow into the kitchen and living room more natural. We gutted all cabinets, plumbing, appliances, light fixtures, and the pass-through pony wall. A beautiful backsplash was installed using Nova Hex Graphite ceramic mosaic 5x5 tile. A 15” overhang was added at the counter for bar seating. In the den, they hated the brick fireplace and wanted a less rustic look. The original mantel was very bulky and dark, whereas they preferred a more rectangular firebox opening, if possible. We removed the fireplace and surrounding hearth, brick, and trim, as well as the built-in cabinets. The new fireplace was flush with the wall and surrounded with Tempesta Neve Polished Marble 8x20 installed in a Herringbone pattern. The TV was hung above the fireplace and floating shelves were added to the surrounding walls for photographs and artwork. They wanted to completely gut and replace everything in the powder bath, so we started by adding blocking in the wall for the new floating cabinet and a white vessel sink. Black Boardwalk Charcoal Hex Porcelain mosaic 2x2 tile was used on the bathroom floor; coordinating with a contemporary “Cleopatra Silver Amalfi” black glass 2x4 mosaic wall tile. Two Schoolhouse Electric “Isaac” short arm brass sconces were added above the aged brass metal framed hexagon mirror. The countertops used in here, as well as the kitchen and bar, were Elements quartz “White Lightning.” We refinished all existing wood floors downstairs with hand scraped with the grain. Our clients absolutely love their new space with its ease of organization and functionality.

This Carmel Valley Kitchen is what remodel dreams are made of. This client wanted to update their original 90's kitchen to make it inviting for friends and family, but most importantly, for grandkids to have a space to sit, gather, and cook together. Light and bright, the entire footprint of the room was opened up and expanded to take advantage of extra square footage and a large wall of windows. The white cabinetry and subway tile backsplash are the perfect backdrop with additional detailed decorative tile and brushed nickel pulls. What makes this kitchen unique is the oversized t-shaped kitchen island. The top part allows plenty of workspace for meal prep, while the bottom half serves as the main kitchen seating area - a nice touch to keep everyone in the mix. The Sub-Zero refrigerator is outfitted with matching wood paneling for a cohesive look throughout this design, while a substantial Wolf range is a key focal point. Kohler faucets and a Miele dishwasher complete the package. A storage solution addition to this kitchen are the bookshelves near the refrigerator, perfect for quick access to cookbooks and other special items. What is your favorite aspect of this kitchen?

This Kitchen embodies the design of Florida homes in many ways. It's got a coastal vibe and a touch of indoor foliage to give it that tropical influence. The scene is very fun, the two different colors for the island and the kitchen make the scene. We completely renovated this Haverford home between Memorial Day and Labor Day! We maintained the traditional feel of this colonial home with Early-American heart pine floors and bead board on the walls of various rooms. But we also added features of modern living. The open concept kitchen has warm blue cabinetry, an eating area with a built-in bench with storage, and an especially convenient area for pet supplies and eating! Subtle and sophisticated, the bathrooms are awash in gray and white Carrara marble. We custom made built-in shelves, storage and a closet throughout the home. Crafting the millwork on the staircase walls, post and railing was our favorite part of the project. Clean cut, modern, and magnificent! Rochon custom made black flat panel cabinets and center island set the tone for this open and airy contemporary kitchen and great room. The island lights add a touch of whimsical . The kitchen also features an extra large Frigidaire refrigerator and freezer and wall oven.

This is the most perfect use of the space. An expansive eleven-foot island and gourmet six-burner gas range are perfect for the at-home chef! The additional molding details on the island help anchor it in the space and give it a more personalized touch.

Rift-sawn white oak cabinetry, white walls, and tasteful blend of wood furniture and interior woodworking give this new construction home a bright, warm, and homey feel.

We designed modern industrial kitchen in Rowayton in collaboration with Bruce Beinfield of Beinfield Architecture for his personal home with wife and designer Carol Beinfield. This kitchen features custom black cabinetry, custom-made hardware, and copper finishes. The open shelving allows for a display of cooking ingredients and personal touches. There is open seating at the island, Sub Zero Wolf appliances, including a Sub Zero wine refrigerator.

This is an outdoor pavilion which houses a kitchen complete with sink, hot water, grill, side burner, fridge. All operated with LP Gas and the fire pit is connected as well. What fun! Check out Puget Sound Playback for your photo needs!

The key to this project was to create a kitchen fitting of a residence with strong Industrial aesthetics. The PB Kitchen Design team managed to preserve the warmth and organic feel of the home’s architecture. The sturdy materials used to enrich the integrity of the design, never take away from the fact that this space is meant for hospitality. Functionally, the kitchen works equally well for quick family meals or large gatherings. But take a closer look at the use of texture and height.
