A gravel pathway meanders along the front of the house, flanked by succulents and drought-tolerant plantings.

A beautiful ranch house gets a make over after a flood leaves half the cabinetry in ruin. Choosing to use a sage green cabinetry with licorice highlights, a warm travertine tile backsplash, and a dark wood stained island separates this kitchen from the average home. Taj Mahal quartzite countertops seamlessly blend in the neutral tones of the room, and lending a beautiful translucency to the space. A decorative hood, under-cabinet and toe kick lighting, and hand painted tile mural all bring this kitchen into a class of its own.

This master bath was designed by Dawn Whyte, of Designs by Dawn, a StarMark Cabinetry dealer in Petosky, Michigan. The cabinets were created with StarMark Cabinetry's Hanover door style in Maple finished in a cabinet color called Licorice.

Traditonal with a twist. The Yardley collection from Pulaski Furniture has its roots in tradition evidenced by stately canted pilasters, heavy crown moldings, architectural elements and turned bun feet, yet it has a fresh approach with its octogon shaped panels, spacious drawers and functional touches. The deep luster licorice finish is almost black, a sophisticated touch that allows the woodtone to glow through.
