Some clients have such great taste, that it’s easy to help create the kitchen of their dreams. Our client in this case had such passion for the design of her own kitchen that it made it such a fun collaborative experience that you don’t always get with clients. She put her heart and soul into making sure every detail was exactly the way she wanted. This kitchen is only a small piece of a well-appointed home. The 1” thick custom door (from Bilotta’s private custom cabinet collection), traditionally styled, yet not overly so, matches beautifully with the details of the adjacent rooms. The grey colored cabinetry blends with the colors in the adjoining rooms creating the perfect centerpiece. The client chose a massive stone Francois & Co. Toulouse Shelf w/ Concave Stack hood from a dealer in London and had it shipped over on a boat! She selected beautiful “Mother of Pearl” knobs from Anthropologie and adorned select cabinets with them like pieces of jewelry. The naturally pearlescent clay tile, the Quartzite countertops and the lanterns above the island were all chosen to mirror these knobs. The lanterns were also chosen to replicate the movement of the gold pattern in the knobs. The client opted to turn the tile on the diagonal as it felt more fluid and in keeping with the movement in the knobs and lanterns. The stone hood, tile, and quartzite sample coordinated perfectly. The room was equipped with a mix of SubZero Wolf and Miele appliances with a Kohler apron sink. The space of course has the perfect amount of accessories for making it more than just visually appealing – it’s a baker’s dream with a lift up for a frequently used mixer. There’s a built-in paper towel holder and just the right amount of utensil dividers, cutlery dividers, tray dividers, roll-outs and even a secret pantry with matching cabinetry hidden in the corner.

The residences at Greenleaf are the new standard for living the integrated lifestyle. While multiple systems control everything from lighting and powered windows, to custom wireless shades, the life of a Greenleaf resident iseasily controlled through their touchscreen interface.
A Single Interface – Unlimited Control
Greenleaf units are all controlled through an AMX system using an intuitive iPad user interface. With such a powerful system, residents are able to control their lighting, as well as powered shades and motorized windows through the simple touch of a button.
Intelligence in Technology
Thanks to automated sensors, residents are always in the know about their home and safety – whether at home or away. The control system monitors the weather and natural lighting to close powered windows if they need to be shut for incoming rain, and raise or lower shades automatically.
Lights can be set to turn on as any resident gets home from work late at night, welcoming them home after a long day away. While they are getting ready to head out for a night on the town, residents can listen to their favorite music throughout the home and call the elevator when they’re ready all from one spot.
Call stations allow you to always know who is at the front door, so having multiple guests over for dinner is easier (with less trips up and down the stairs). Remote, secure access allows the home owner to control their property from anywhere in the world and make sure everything is safe and sound.
Save Energy Without Lifting a Finger
Motorized shades can be raised and lowered automatically by the system according to weather and season for efficient light harvesting. Dimmers throughout the residences are set to a default turn-on of 80% for more energy savings. Residents can monitor their heating and cooling systems, as well as energy use, all from their touch pads at home or away.
Control that Disappears

A depressing dark wooden kitchen gets a major face lift! As you can see from the before pictures, the kitchen was quite dark. Even during the daytime the lady of the house had to turn on the lights to work there. An exterior pergola on a much lower level prevented light from coming in the house and though the pergola was a favourite spot to seat in the summer the humidity in the air made it unbearable and the access to it was not very practical. So in essence the family had no real seating room either. My goal... to create a functional kitchen filled with light and an adjacent seating area. My challenges...the pergola was very low and, not enough space for a seating room...... So.....I came up with something I have never done before nor did I think possible. Using specialised equipment I lifted the existing pergola up all in one piece, without breaking it apart, then I raised the floor covered by the pergola to the level of the house and made an opening from the house to the pergola...Mission accomplished! Lots of light now coming in and more than enough space for the family seating area

We designed this garage addition for a 1920's home in St. Louis. We used cut limestone trim around the garage doors to match the existing glazed terracotta detailing. The 13 ft garage height allows for car lifts at each bay. There's a separate storage room for hockey and golf equipment. The storage room has wall mounted oscillating fans and exhaust fans for ventilation.

A luxury custom garage workshop equipped with a professional automotive two-post car lift, commercial overhead LED shop lights, high-gloss gray modular tool cabinetry, and a heavy-duty epoxy flake floor coating.

Concealed, Efficient and Secure Storage was Key for this Laneway Garage:
A young family living in Leslieville needed to make the most of the limited available storage space to accommodate their active lifestyles and growing family.
They needed storage and easy access for windsurfing equipment, stand-up paddleboards, bicycles and all other types of sprouting and camping equipment.
Working with the client, bsq Landscape Architects developed the design to create a modern garage with a lockable, sliding barn door to open up the garage space to the rear yard with a man door for daily use. We maximized the garage height to allow for loft storage at either end and a central hoist for kayaks and canoes to lift from the car roof rack.
The rear deck was rebuilt along with the basement walkout steps. Built-in storage was installed along the entire wall alongside the basement steps turning a large amount of unused vertical space into efficient, hidden storage.
The porch roof was rebuilt with larger fixed skylights to allow more light to enter the space, and rear windows and a clear cedar ceiling added warmth and beauty throughout. Careful planning made the most of a smaller urban footprint while adding significant value to the property and ensured that we met all zoning, building permit and TRCA requirements.

On the Main Line, few homes capture the romance of European design like Au Vallon in Villanova. Featured in Philadelphia Magazine, this estate blends French Normandy architecture with Pennsylvania stone and classic detailing—a masterpiece that deserves the highest level of care and craftsmanship.
When CertaPro Painters of the Main Line was entrusted with painting Au Vallon inside and out, we knew this was more than just a project—it was a responsibility to preserve a one-of-a-kind residence.
Exterior Painting: Stone, Stucco, and Sky-High Detail
The home’s exterior showcases steep rooflines, tall gables, and stone accents that required expert access solutions. Using professional lifts, our crew safely reached tough sections to ensure every inch was protected and finished to perfection.
Historic-style shutters, wood trim, and wrought-iron details were carefully prepped and painted with premium coatings designed for longevity. By respecting the original design while using modern products, we created a finish that enhances curb appeal while protecting the home for decades.
Interior Painting: European Elegance Restored
Inside, Au Vallon’s grand rooms called for the same meticulous approach. From arched ceilings and wood beams to paneled libraries and plaster walls, each surface was prepared with care to preserve the architectural beauty.
We collaborated closely with the homeowners to select colors that complement the stone and woodwork, balancing historic authenticity with modern warmth. Accent trim, window casings, and built-ins were refinished to highlight the craftsmanship that makes this estate extraordinary.
What Sets Us Apart
Painting a home like Au Vallon isn’t just a job—it’s a craft. Our team’s decades of experience with historic and luxury properties on the Main Line ensures:
Respect for architectural integrity
Specialized equipment (lifts, scaffolding, dust containment) for safe access
Knowledge of historic substrates like plaster, stone, and old-growth wood
Long-lasting finishes that honor the home’s legacy
Preserving Main Line History, One Brushstroke at a Time
From The Androssan Estate to Merion Cricket Club to Au Vallon, CertaPro Painters of the Main Line has become the trusted choice for painting the region’s most historic and celebrated properties.
For Mauricio and our team, the reward isn’t just in the finished product—it’s in knowing we’ve protected and preserved a piece of Main Line history.
