Gylden æra embraces the timeless elegance of Scandinavian minimalism in a compact apartment. By streamlining layout and materials, it creates a serene, deliberate environment where simplicity speaks volumes.
Every detail is intentionally crafted—from the seamless integration of functional areas to the uncluttered circulation paths. The design presents a visual calm that enhances both daily living and quiet reflection.
Soft woods, matte surfaces, and warm neutrals anchor the scheme. Subtle use of light tones amplifies natural light and expands spatial perception. Textural variations—like woven textiles, fine-grain wood, and matte finishes—add depth without compromising simplicity.
Minimalist lighting design—wall-mounted fixtures, linear pendants—complements the space's architectural rhythm without drawing attention away. Strategic layering of natural and ambient light enhances mood while maintaining visual clarity.
Gylden æra feels both peaceful and poised—moderated yet expressive. It captures a balance of restrained luxury and everyday comfort, honoring Scandinavian roots.

There was a small pantry closet where the double ovens are now positioned. Removing that pantry closet improved the storage area while also providing room for more counter space between fridge and ovens.

A mid-century styled home needed a master bath to match. It also needed to function better for the homeowners who plan to age in place and required a space to do some yoga! A curbless shower, large TV and open floor space, plenty of grab bars, and an updated palette achieved all of these goals.
Cabinetry is from Ultracraft - a vertical grain textured melamine, Husk, on a slab door style. We chose Top Knobs tab pull hardware to keep a sleek look. Caesarstone quartz was used as countertops, their Calacatta Nuvo color, to mimic marble and blend with the tile selections in the remainder of the room.
The main floor is Daltile Exquisite Ivory in 12x24. Transitioning into the curbless shower, we chose their Astoria Gray 1x2 as the shower floor. The shower was sloped to an Infinity Drain in brushed nickel. Up the walls we have the Monte Skyline Honed mosaic from Marble Systems, with the Modern Bamboo Skyline tile surrounding the knee wall.
Most plumbing materials were sourced from Toto. This includes the Drake II two-piece commode, undercounter rectangular sink, and the faucet and shower fixtures from their Soiree collection. Each vanity also hosts a Serenity floating lighted frameless mirror from Electric Mirror.

The existing kitchen space was long and narrow, leading to a two sided galley type design. Wall cabinet space was maximized along the outside wall and the cooktop was moved to the outside wall to aid in ventilation and help avoid the need for a dropped exhaust as in the previous layout. The horizontal grain on the wood accentuates the linear design of the space.

This open-footprint kitchen has a modern, industrial feel. The design choices are anchored by the hot-rolled steel, open shelving display cabinetry to maximize space while allowing spectacular views of the Long Island Sound. The slab-front cabinetry with stainless steel pulls in the kitchen and dining area is Rift Oak with a grey/white cerusing and features grain-matched cabinet fronts for a cohesive visual pattern line. The counters are topped by Black Absolute Granite with a Venetian finish to add texture. The owner chose SubZero Wolf appliances and the highly popular Galley sink along with upgraded walnut drawer and cabinet inserts to make the space truly functional. The bar area showcases twin 86 bottle wine coolers with refrigeration and ice drawers, along with a linear glass tile backsplash and frame-only drawers on the upper wall cabinets for a sleek look.

Both the design and construction teams put their heart into making sure we worked with the client to achieve this gorgeous vision. The client was sensitive to both aesthetic and functionality goals, so we set out to improve their old, dated cramped kitchen, with an open concept that facilitates cooking workflow, and dazzles the eye with its mid century modern design. One of their biggest items was their need for increased storage space. We certainly achieved that with ample cabinet space and doubling their pantry space.
The 13 foot waterfall island is the centerpiece, which is heavily utilized for cooking, eating, playing board games and hanging out. The pantry behind the walnut doors used to be the fridge space, and there's an extra pantry now to the left of the current fridge. We moved the sink from the counter to the island, which really helped workflow (we created triangle between cooktop, sink and fridge/pantry 2). To make the cabinets flow linearly at the top we moved and replaced the window. The beige paint is called alpaca from Sherwin Williams and the blue is charcoal blue from sw.
Everything was carefully selected, from the horizontal grain on the walnut cabinets, to the subtly veined white quartz from Arizona tile, to the black glass paneled luxury hood from Futuro Futuro. The pendants and chandelier are from West Elm. The flooring is from karastan; a gorgeous engineered, white oak in herringbone pattern. The recessed lights are decorative from Lumens. The pulls are antique brass from plank hardware (in London). We sourced the door handles and cooktop (Empava) from Houzz. The faucet is Rohl and the sink is Bianco.

A complete home renovation upgrades a previously closed kitchen to create a stunning great room. Multi-slide Jeld Wen exterior doors extend 18 feet and open the room to the outdoor patio. The full-service dining room features a custom built-in buffet cabinet with glass display case. Warm oak plank floors complement the cool gray and white palette used throughout the home. Jewel-toned bursts of color add modern flair to this transitional style home.

Trendy master gray tile and porcelain tile porcelain tile and white floor bathroom photo in Calgary with flat-panel cabinets, gray cabinets, a two-piece toilet, gray walls, an undermount sink and quartzite countertops

The clients hired us to overhaul a dated post war apartment on the upper Eastside of Manhattan. The clients wanted an open kitchen so we removed the wall separating the standard galley kitchen from the living area letting all the light from the adjacent glass terrace doors enter the kitchen. We also extended the footprint of the kitchen to create a large eat-in counter. The kitchen has a white on pale grey color scheme with custom white lacquer cabinetry, light grey wood grain base cabinetry, and light grey and white quartz counters and backsplash. The white and grey scheme continues in the powder room where a small white carrera marble and stainless steel wall hung sink is surrounded by a pale silver/grey grasscloth wallpaper. The master bathroom has a large dark wood double sink vanity with custom mirrored cabinets above that have tv’s within the mirrored glass. The master bathroom is tiled with a white thassos marble mini brick pattern pattern on the floors, a large white thassos marble wall tile, and dramatic white and black linear veined marmara marble wall tiles inside the shower. In the ensuite guest bathroom similar large white thassos marble tiles clad the wall with a custom grey and white glass mosaic inset behind the vanity and inside the tiled niche.

Beach Grove Social transforms a dated 3-bed, 2.5-bath into a modern, moody home made for entertaining. Vaulted cedar ceilings and triangular clerestories bathe white oak and graphite finishes in soft light, while a linear hearth anchors the open living–dining core. The reimagined kitchen hides the daily clutter with a concealed appliance garage and a grain-matched door to the laundry, keeping surfaces calm. Full-width sliders dissolve the boundary to a terrace designed for gatherings. Three new bathrooms—each tailored to its user—pair refined materials with serene lighting to deliver sophisticated, restorative spaces.
