This family of 6 had 4 kids under the age of 6 years old, and needed a kind friendly space that could comfortably seat the whole family. The double heigh ceiling meant bringing in a large scale chandelier and commissioning this artwork to fill the space and pull the colors together.

Client needed space to be MORE efficient to accommodate folding laundry, refrigerator for overflow food for guest and special occasions now that children are occasional visiting adults. This family home is still a hub for gatherings and client wants it to work for everyday and for special days when family comes together. Small spaces are the hardest to plan but, every inch is being used. There are features for hanging clothes, on a rod, on a drying rack, storing supplies to be readily accessible and some long term storage above the refrigerator. Heat in AZ, is of course an issue for keep things nice so, indoor storage with conditioned air is valued by all homeowners as important for keeping things in good condition. DOWNLOAD NOW   Storage was extremely important for this project because she wanted to go from keeping everything out in the open to have everything tucked away neatly, and who wouldn’t want this? So we went to work figuring out how to hide as much as possible but still keep things easy to access. The solution was two pullouts on either side of each vanity and a flush mount medicine cabinet above, so plenty of storage for each person. We kept the layout pretty much the same, but just changed up the configuration of the cabinets. We added a storage cabinet by the toilet because there was plenty of room for that and converted the tub to a shower to make it easy to use the space long-term. Modern day conveniences were also installed, including a heated towel bar, a lower threshold cast iron shower pan with sliding barn door shower door and a flip down shower seat. The house is a classic 1950’s midcentury ranch so we chose materials that fit that bill, and that had a bit of a Scandinavian vibe, including light maple Shaker door cabinets, black hardware and lighting, and simple subway tile in the shower. Our client fell in love with the white Macauba quartzite countertops in our showroom, and we agree they bring a perfect earthy energy into her space. French Country - Modern shine brightly together. French Country projects are known to lean towards white vanities. This particular client was willing to make that artistic step; peacock blue was chosen for this Master Bathroom vanity. The color adds a very happy feel to the space. There is a confusion that white actually makes a space happier. Here is a little food for thought; white is never just white. Every "white" has an undertone and with every undertone there is a feeling that will attach it's self to that undertone. White then bounces light off of it's self continually. Therefore, if the space is all white, the light never stops moving. Color is a fantastic way to create calm, inspiration, hopeful feelings and an uplifted environment in a room. The backsplash in this bathroom is a 4x12 antiqued subway. The countertop is a porcelain, Laminam product. Laminam rarely splits at install due to the way the product is made. As long as you hire the correct porcelain countertop installer, Laminam countertops are a home run and handle abuse well. Rustic pendants were installed to create texture in the space. 18x24 porcelain tiles flow throughout the bathroom to decrease in the grout lines.

Rustic elegance describes this wine room which is located in Burr Ridge, Illinois. Starting with the ledge stone entrance, two sconces, two arched knotty elder windows and door. The wine room was designed for an owner with an incredible wine collection of over 2500+ bottles and it is fully equipped with a climate control system that provides consistent storing conditions and allows wine to age at an elegant pace. The wine racks, walls, and ceiling were made of Redwood, a type of wood that is highly durable and perfect for long-term wine storage. This traditional wine cellar was built with many features including waterfall tier magnum racking, library style floor to ceiling wine racks, as well as wine case storage, horizontal and high reveal displays. This custom wine cellar is truly a masterpiece.
