This project is in the final stages. The basement is finished with a den, bedroom, full bathroom and spacious laundry room. New living spaces have been created upstairs. The kitchen has come alive with white cabinets, new countertops, a farm sink and a brick backsplash. The mudroom was incorporated at the garage entrance with a storage bench and beadboard accents. We moved the bread box here and are using it as a bread box, not a miscellaneous spic holder. This is where the husband would layout his mail, charge his phone, leave his vitamin box and other miscellaneous items. It was originally a poor use of space as his personal items would get food on them and it didn't leave much food preparing room. The dated kitchen was gutted and reconfigured to accommodate this large kitchen with crisp white cabinets and walls. Primitive and cozy – but with an edge – this Mediterranean-Moroccan influenced kitchen by Wellborn Cabinet makes a statement and is tied together with a rustic feel. There’s a certain warmth and charm to an ethnic kitchen with rustic elements. This kitchen shakes it up with a mix of three door styles; Sandia, and Wellington full overlay, and Modesto Inset.
