Wildflower is a major project by Flintstones Masonry & Home Improvements and is located on a hillside in Victoria, BC. The backyard of the home was so steeply sloping prior to the project, that is was virtually unusable. Extensive manipulation of grades allowed for a raised pool deck and kitchen area resulting in an expansive area for the clients to enjoy and entertain on. The project features a complementary combination of materials with varying and contrasting textures: coloured concrete, pre-cast concrete, flamed basalt, ledge stone, and pairs beautifully with the ideally situated, hand cast concrete, Paloform Miso firepit. This is the very elegant, yet tropical, faux bamboo lantern by Currey & Company. The design for this bay window was created with the main goal of embellishing the customer's great Florida view. The logistics of the design was much more complicated as each window was a different size. The sizes and shapes of each element were manipulated to conceal the variations in the windows.
